We had three families vacation together that included 6 adults and 4 children. There was plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub each day. Ruth made sure both were cleaned and ready each day for us. Our first night we had pizza delivered since we all had traveled that day but then we cooked dinner each night after. We utilized the crockpot and air fryer the most. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The back porch was beautiful and we spent a lot of time there. The afternoon showers were peaceful to watch from the porch. The kids really enjoyed the TV room. They were able to spread out and relax in the evenings after dinner. Grocery shopping was easy and very close by the house. We didn’t venture outside the house other to grab groceries. The kids favorite part was when Ruth and Cowboy Sam stopped by with his horse April. He let each kid ride April. It was a nice surprise! Thanks for an amazing stay!

I stayed at Kumi’s place for one night on my way back from a seminar with my working cadaver dog. After a week of working, it was just the relaxing space we needed! I wish we’d had time to stop for more than just a night, I will absolutely be visiting again when it’s warm enough for the pool to be open. The hot tub was delightful for my sore muscles and the shower was super nice. The plants were such a nice surprise and made me feel at home. Kumi was an excellent host and K9 Duke gives her place 4 paws up

It was an amazing stay. The place was beautifully decorated, spacious and just all around a peaceful atmosphere. It was close enough to drive into town and near by cities. The host was super responsive with any questions made everything so clear and direct for easy check in. Great space and would highly recommend as well would definitely stay again when I come to the area.

Beautiful, quiet location with lots of amenities. We had an issue with the lock, but it was addressed very quickly and professionally. Great stay - fall colors in the trees were gorgeous, but with the pool, it'd be a great place to stay in the summer.

This is our family’s third stay here, so obviously we enjoy this beautiful property! The home is well stocked, spacious, family friendly, and very welcoming. As a bonus, this was our first stay during pool weather, so we were able to utilize the beautiful pool/hot tub area. Bedford is a lovely location. Quaint small town but close to lots of recreation.

Our 5 night stay was so relaxing and a true getaway. It is such a peaceful setting. We so enjoyed the beauty of the home and the pristine pool. Sitting by the pool and listening to the birds and the breeze through the trees was just what we were looking for. Jodi is an excellent host, very responsive and would check in by text just to make sure all was well. Be sure to visit Saxapawhaw and the general store. They have a great menu with fresh made meals and even take out. Thanks again Jodi!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chief on the 3rd. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We felt right at home. We loved it so much that we are planning to stay there again.....Our home away from home. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. 5 Star Review on everything.

Very nice place. We were there for work, not pleasure and it was really nice to come back in a nice comfortable home to rest for the night. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Rocky’s house was perfect for us on our recent visit to the Martinsville area! It had lots of space and everything we needed for our visit. It was very quiet and peaceful there. It was also close to restaurants and shops in the area. We even found several walking paths nearby that we enjoyed. Thanks so much!

Not our first visit to Shannob House and Sandy is a wonderful hostess; gracious and so accommodating. We will continue to look for her when we're needing a comfortable place to stay!

As usual, George’s consistency to being a great host has left me with nothing but pleasant vibes. Very pleased to have found someone that can host my family again and again , and exceed your expectations each time. Literally nothing to complain about .

The house was adorable and cozy, with all the extras to make it feel like home. The real star though, is how beautiful, peaceful and relaxing it is there. it was the perfect space for our graduation vacation! We will definitely consider staying again!

Thx for great hospitality Rosalie and Chris! We had all meals outside and the kids ended up playing outside and exploring nature uninterrupted for our entire stay (what more can you ask for?) and we had some incredible wildlife experiences at dusk&dawn with all the animals coming out👌😊

Great place to stay with a family. Downtime felt great to be in a home compared to hotel. Marcia responded with any of my questions promptly. Overall would come again when visiting family.

Thalyas’ place perfectly fit our needs. Clean, quiet, convenient and comfortable. Listing is accurate. We enjoyed the outdoor seating area and made use of it daily. Easy entry, just as described, clean, good central location. The home was just as described. Snacks and cold waters were there for us. I enjoyed the property! I had no issues but I would change anything …. It would be one mattress that was very high off the ground one. No big deal (bed was clean and comfortable ) so we put the teen in there (no harm, no foul) because us older people agreed we would struggle to get in and out of it which again may not be a problem for everyone. The coffee pot quit working during my first use (nobody’s fault) however, the owner was quick to say it’ll be replaced! My family felt safe in this 3 bedroom home close to anything you’d need in martinsville. We felt welcomed and enjoyed the property! I would absolutely stay here again !

This was a beauitul place that we truly enjoyed. The host, Fawn, was great to work with and was super helpful with a booking on short notice. I highly recommend!

Wonderful dock to hang out and play in the water in a quiet cove. House was well appointed with everything we needed.
