Holiday rentals with a kayak in McHenry

The house was beautiful and so was the setting. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very spacious. The only thing disappointing was there was 8 of us and we brought steaks to grill. As nice as the house was , I was shocked at the tiny table top grill. We ran out of the small propane bottles as there were only two that were half full. I would recommend a full size grill for a house advertised as accommodating 11 people. Other than that everything was great!!

I would definitely visit with my family again. Everything was absolutely PERFECT!!!

This house was even better than the pictures and description. It’s perfect for families especially with all the amenities for young children.

Could use handicap accessible where we was but we will be coming back soon it was nice

Beautiful home, resort grounds were quiet, clean and well maintained. Manager was responsive even in the evening. Very comfortable; good instructions, easy to follow. We had a great time.

This place felt like we stayed at a Better Homes & Garden magazine spread. It has a nostalgic feeling of lake cottages from my childhood- the smallest details that hosts thought of- from a cute game down by the lake, to an umbrella on hand, the kitchen utensils, we enjoyed a relaxing weekend that we did not have to leave. This is not your normal mish mash of old attic furniture and cast offs that a lot of Airbnb's have. I can't say enough of how much we enjoyed it and didn't feel like we needed to leave. On a side note- hot tub was like new & heating worked really well- hate when those are advertised and they don't work.

It was an amazing weekend in this home. The kitchen, bathroom and linen closet were well stocked and we didn’t run out of anything. The house is right on the water and provided hours of free entertainment. The house contained cable, plenty of DVDs/Bluray movies, board games, and sitting space. Wisp is seconds away by car and minutes by walking. Host was responsive and understanding, even after I lost the house keys.

Great little getaway :) My kiddos had a great time hiking the trails, playing at the beach and swimming in the pool.

My friends and I booked this trip to celebrate a birthday, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The cabin, tucked away in the mountains next to the lake, was absolutely beautiful — even better than we expected. The views were stunning, the house was spotless, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The host was incredibly responsive and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. We even had the chance to go kayaking on the lake, which was such a highlight. Overall, it was an unforgettable trip, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Just like the pictures, this lakeside cottage is lovely. Great setting and views. Very nicely decorated and very well equipped. Susan was an outstanding host.

We had a great long weekend here. Great place for families and the cabin was great for our 2 little kids. They loved the bunk beds and all the outdoor activities. Kayla and Carmen are very helpful and responsive to any and all of my messages to them. Would definitely come back again!

This stay was my first experience using AirBnB. Amy is a wonderful and most helpful host. The property is amazing. There are a lot of trails around the mountain to explore and the pond is beautiful. Every morning and evening, I would see at least 15 to 20 deer while walking the dog and the only sounds around, were the birds. Thank you Amy, I will definitely be back the next time I visit West Virginia.

We had the best stay in this cabin! They did not credit themselves enough for everything that was available for use! We were not familiar with the area and were pleasantly surprised that there was a security gate to enter the neighborhood and amenities, activities, indoor swimming and a lounge as a part of the rental as well! This was the perfect place for our family to visit and a great location to travel to other areas around as well! Thank you so much!

We have stayed here before. The scenery absolutely stunning. A couple of minor (inexpensive) tweaks could make it spectacular. 1. TV’s are not expensive anymore. The tv in the downstairs bedroom sounds like a transistor radio and is t much bigger than one. 2. Upgrade the coffee pot and add a Keurig. 3. Pay someone to organize the cabinets to make some sort of sense. 4. This is for every house I’ve ever rented…..buy bigger and higher toilets. These toilets are kid sized. 5. Leave instructions for the fireplace or a note saying it’s not part of the rental.

Great AirBnb near Deep Creek & Wisp! AirBnb itself was excellent. Macy was easy to communicate with and made check-in/out easy! Only caution is that the roads in the community weren’t in the best shape due to snow. Not the AirBnB’s fault, but would recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle with some ground clearance. They did plow the day we left.
