Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Meigs County

We stayed here for our son's graduation from OU. The house was clean and well stocked, including spring water and coffee/creamers available. It was a quick ride back to campus. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience.

We were in Rio for the graduation with family from three states . We all felt like there a ton of space , wonderfully appointed & vey walkable . We enjoyed to patio, screened in porch & yard space.

Our trip was wonderful though we was dealing with Children and Dogs. Nicole checked up on us often. Our dogs loved the area. Our one daughter thought it was " Our new house". Overall, great for familys that want to visit the Galla County area and want to get away from busy life and light pollution.

Great place! Simple and cozy. Great view of river (and sunrise) from the hot tub.

We felt at home immediately. Even the lawn was manicured! The dogs were more relaxed here than they are at home even. There was a little issue with parking, but not worth any fuss. We just happened to arrive when the bbq diner across the street was packed on a Saturday evening. Sitting on the front porch together drinking good coffee and watching the river barges just right across the street going down the Ohio river was so relaxing. The house is just minutes away from lots of parks and historic walks and good coffee shops. We loved it. So easy to use for what we needed.

We’ve stayed at Bobbi’s place for many years in a row and will always be back! The house is spacious, squeaky clean, comfortable beds, quiet location. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. It’s great for families (high chair and pack and play are at the house!) We love it.

Had to book last minute due to an unforeseen circumstance and could not have asked for a better set up. We were helping our daughter and son-in-law move to Athens for med school and anything that could go wrong went wrong in this move. Anne’s place was a peaceful stop of relaxation in the midst of all of our chaos. We will definitely book again when visiting our kids in the future.

Kaitlyn’s place was a great weekend getaway for a big group of my friends. When we think of going back down to Athens, we will definitely look for this stay again!

Spacious enough for one or two people. I usually stay far away from anyone, but being behind their house really wasn't an issue. 20 minutes outside Athens. Check out the nearby rural grocery store, which still has a non-electronic gas pump!

My husband and I stayed at Idyll Reserve 5 (The North) for two nights in January and had a fabulous stay! 🌲❄️ The cabin was thoughtfully designed, tastefully decorated, and very spacious for the two of us (& could accommodate a small family easily). It had all the amenities you’d need for a cozy stay — spacious, fully-stocked kitchen (with coffee & espresso maker! ☕️), comfy couch, living room with large windows & beautiful views of the surrounding woods, walk-in double shower & soaking tub, and our personal favorites — the outdoor hot tub and sauna! Laura was extremely responsive and communication regarding check-in was the best I’ve had with an Airbnb host. We could have easily stayed several more days. Hocking Hills State Park is just a ~10 minute drive away (we did some gorgeous hiking to Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, and Cedar Falls all within a half day). We’re already planning our next trip back with our kids! 🥰

Hosts Brenda and Deborah were extremely warm, welcoming, and flexible! We were on a short trip for a graduation at Ohio University, about 12 minutes away. Due to delayed flights and 1.5 hour drive from Columbus Airport, we didn't arrive until 10:30pm, and Deb was waiting on the porch to greet us and get us settled. Very much appreciated! Communication was great, including directions (by phone) re: the country roads in the dark. The space is large, as described and seen in photos, sort of a "basement apartment" in a gorgeous area, very peaceful. The place and hosts are down-to-earth, as we had hoped, making our stay lovely and enjoyable. 😊 Thank you!

We loved our time here! We enjoyed walking the beautiful property, seeing all of the flowers and gardens Natalie is growing, sitting by the pond and visiting the animals. We look forward to coming back again!

We had a wonderful time at Gretchen’s place in Athens! It was private, comfortable, and beautiful inside and outside. We loved the natural light and the amazing wraparound porch. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful retreat! I stayed by myself as a little momma get away and it was perfect. The Zucchini bread is as good as everyone says! The hot tub was wonderful! The hosts were extremely responsive whenever I needed anything and really helpful! There are even games and toys for kids/toddlers if that is what you’re doing. I of course was vacationing FROM the kids toys lol but I love that if we go back there are things for the kids. Be advised that this is a basement apartment so you’ll hear footsteps and sometimes muffled voices just like you would in any house. It didnt bother me at all! The views are spectacular and the property is just so peaceful. 10/10 would recommend for sure!!

Had a amazing week with the family the scenery was breath taking and the natural habitats of the area were in full spring action. Great family friendly environment with a sense of seclusion in the woods . Can’t wait to revisit this beautiful place again!

Nice place to stay alone or with family and kids. Plenty of things to do. Owners were nothing short of amazing. Very friendly, down to earth, helpful people. They make your stay pleasant and so welcoming. Will definitely be back to stay in the very near future. Highly recommend

As always - Rusty's place was a great place to stay while visiting from Pennsylvania! We have stayed many times and plan to do so in the future.

The place was as described. It was beautiful and peaceful. We took our dogs and they love the surroundings. It was just what we were looking for.

Stephen was an amazing host. Towels were laid out when we arrived. Located a short drive from Logan. We had a ball at this beautiful, secluded cabin in the woods. The hot tub overlooking the forest, the awesome fire pit and sauna. Homey, spacious, cute cabin. 10/10 stay, we will be back! Perfect for couples or couples with kids! We didn’t bring a pet, but pet friendly! Really incredible space. Thanks Stephen! Looking forward to booking again in the future!

This cabin was great. Just enough room for 2 adults and two kids with lots of wildlife around it. The large yard was great and gave the kids lots of openess to run around. The propaine ran out on the grill and in less than an hour it was replaced. Thanks for the great place to stay!

The solitude was awesome and refreshing. The home was amazing. The view and quiet was a welcome change to where I usually stay during work. I will be inquiring about this property next year.
