Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Menlo Park

My husband, sister, and I had a wonderful 5-day stay while in California for our daughter’s graduation. Our hosts, Sophie and Jennifer, were friendly, helpful, and responsive. The apartment was spotless and well set up, with a beautiful sunlit kitchen nook, a sizable well-equipped kitchen, and a desk for work. We had a great stay and hope to return soon!

Weichuan & Meng are very kind, helpful and respond very quickly to any and all questions. The bed is very comfortable. The bed and bath linens are very nice and plentiful.

We had such a great time, the place is perfect for two. Fully equipped kitchen, everything was there. Very quiet neighborhood. San Francisco, Palo Alto and SFO are all easy to reach. Groceries are also close by. Would definitely book again! Thanks for everything!

My family and I were very happy with our stay at Jessica and Florian's home. They went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we needed. The house was spotless and we felt very much at home there. We will gladly stay there again on our next trip to Stanford.

Lynette’s place is in a prime area of Palo Alto, perfect for solo travelers. I spent a week here on a business trip. The space is the size of a generous and comfortable hotel room, which is standard in Palo Alto. Privacy is great, check in was a very easy self check in process (contactless without a host greeting) but not with a standard lockbox or keypad. Amenities were a nice touch, like coffee, tea, water and milk, and shower supplies. The textured flooring wasn’t my favorite but I wore house shoes. The bed was squeaky but comfortable. Having a private driveway and my own gate for access in a space that was detached from the main house was excellent. I much prefer an independent experience on busy work trips. Great host, super friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for three nights while on a work trip. Unit was very clean, spacious, and well furnished. Some construction noise in the morning but otherwise in a quiet area. About 5 min drive from downtown Redwood City. Thank you!

Two of us spent a week at this property. It was as described in a nice quiet location that was convenient to many locations in west bay. Nicely furnished and very clean. It has natural light and comfortable spacious deck.

We had a fantastic stay at Anna’s place. The location is unbeatable—right at Stanford’s doorstep and just a short walk from the field where I could go for a run. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The furnishings are high-quality and thoughtfully chosen; I especially appreciated the soft cotton sheets, the comfortable bed, and the spacious deck for enjoying the outdoors. Anna was a wonderful host—responsive, helpful, and kind. This place is truly a gem!

Perfect home-base for exploring Palo Alto, Stanford and greater Peninsula area. Everything went smoothly - would recommend!

Stayed at Oriel’s place during a recent trip to Palo Alto and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The space looks just like the photos, everything feels fresh and nicely upgraded, with thoughtful touches throughout. There’s even a small patio that was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee. It’s in a great location too, just a short drive to Stanford and close enough to everything without feeling too busy. Oriel was super communicative, especially when some construction started next door. He went out of his way to have them hold off while I finished an important video call, which I really appreciated. All in all, it was a great stay. Loved the space, loved the hospitality, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Visiting from North Carolina

This a beautiful and amazing unit in a very nice friendly quiet neighborhood. The host is very helpful and friendly! The whole experience is amazing! Highly recommend it!

This was the a great place to stay for a short work trip. The unit is a first floor private studio apartment with its own private bathroom and kitchen in a small apartment building. There is controlled access to the overall building as well as a key to the room. It is convenient walking distance from everything on Castro as well as the Caltrain station. As others mention, the main drawback was the noise, but I actually found it easier to sleep that way. The kitchen is stocked with some basic food items and breakfast like bagels, yogurt, fruit, coffee pods. It is an older building and unit that I thought had character. Very clean and comfortable.

Mary’s place was very comfortable and homey, and Mary was extremely accommodating and communicative. Highly recommend if you would like a place to stay in the bay!

Bedroom and classic pullout Ikea couch in the living room as advertised. Driveway spot was nice, not sure how easy it is to squeeze past the dryer in the garage though. AC units worked as intended during 85 degree days. The communication was prompt, clearly with some automation being used but there are real people behind the operation. Kitchen well stocked for cooking equipment. Didnt hear the duplex neighbors at all. Would stay again.

Perfect stay in Palo Alto! The place was very comfortable and spacious in a peaceful area and in walking distance from the town. We really enjoyed our time there and April and the team were super helpful and responsive to any questions or needs.

Easy to access, availability of parking and the shopping/restaurants made this location perfect for us! Eugene was quickly responsive to a couple of questions we had. The place was very clean and had what we needed for our stay!

Nader, We love the Deco and the Vibes of the home. Toilet has heated seats and in-Built Bidet spray for your Ehem-ehems! Toaster,water boiler,many pans, oven, microwave, he has everything u need. I asked about Aircon🙈. We did. not need aircon as The weather is so nice and cold at Night (11degrees 13-18Jun). We loved that Nader is a responsive and responsible host. My 15yr old son had a home accident and broke a hanging light fixture at the dining area as he stood up. We informed Nader of the issue. Super-host asked "firstly, is your son okay? Does he need medical attention? I have a first aid kit in the home". Super-host Wins!!! (Inna haza larizkunna mallahu minnafad. Amiin Amiin Amiin) - our doas to Allah SWT to grant you more Rezki for providing us a safe great home to stay. Boys wanna come back to SFO and re-stay at your home again! Thank you Nader

We had a fantastic time. The view was second to none, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Great coffee shop within walking distance (albeit with a decent hill). We happened to stay when whales were just off the coast and saw them from the shore. Could not have asked for a better day. For those with mobility issues - you do need to climb about 10 narrow steps to get to the tram, which lets you skip the rest of the stairs. But there is no way around those first steps. Would absolutely come back.

I read all the reviews online about Kimberly's place so I knew it would be nice. The large closet was awesome, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen. The only problem I had (I knew this ahead of time) was hearing the owner's kids above us. Most of the time, no problem and never at odd times. I did feel the parents were as courteous as possible for 2 small kids but it was hard to take a nap a couple of times. I am used to a single home so this may play into it. I still recommend their place but keep in mind, occasionally, you hear people upstairs as also written in other reviews.

We had a great stay. The home is lovely and the area is very walkable with lots of restaurants and shops accessible.
