Hotel holiday rentals in Mid Devon District

The Old Rectory is in a beautiful location, surrounded by lush fields and nature. It’s a perfect place to stay for rambling holidays or just to relax. This original Victorian building was great to explore its grand interior. Caroline was a lovely host and was very welcoming throughout our stay. There was also a lovely dog called Sam that greeted us on arrival! Every morning a cooked breakfast was served at your requested time with fresh tea and coffee. The spread of granola and other cereals was a great addition. Just to note (from staying in the green room) the bathroom and toilet facilities are not attached to the room- instead you leave your room and walk down a hall to them but you are in your own private wing of the house.

We were pleasantly greeted at reception and even had help carrying the bags up 4 flights of stairs, it was hard climbing up and down for the children so a lift would have been easier but the view was worth it. The breakfast was good and a wide variety of options. The staff were friendly and approachable. I would stay here again.

Wonderful private and quiet place with gorgeous surroundings, very spacious room with spacious bathroom - sparkling clean! Lovely tea selection and super yummy fudge provided in the room as well. Great breakfast options and breakfast itself was delicious and filling to the max in wonderful old style kitchen setting and pottery. One tiny downside was that you could hear everything from the room next door. However, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back and are sorry to stay only for 1 night! Beautiful grounds and great field for the dog to run around in and it was fabulous that we got a little upgrade with the private patio. Brilliant team who are very responsive & we could charge our car too. great location only a short drive from woolacombe Beach and Saunton Sands. The pool & gym are a little run down but that didn't distract from the stay.

Great value - very clean, and great amenities. Very quiet which was unexpected as it was full up for a festival in the town. Breakfast eas even provided free of charge. Will definitely come back.

Wow. What an amazing host. Ahmed couldn’t have been more helpful to me and my friend instantly made us feel welcome was kind and funny. He went above and beyond for us. I will absolutely be back to stay again. Everything was as described easy check In he even let us have a late Check out wich was fanstatsic. Thank you so much x

Brilliant few days away, great place to stay would definitely stay here again

We came to Torquay to celebrate my birthday and had booked a stay at the Redcliffe Hotel, however once we got there we found there was no outdoor pool and that was the only reason we drove there. We got a refund and we had to find somewhere to stay quickly as it was already late afteroon; we found Debbie's guest house and immediately fell in love with it. I messaged Debbie to confirm we could go as it was so late and she replied immediately. When we got there we were greeted by Ian, who made us feel welcome and at home. He showed us around and was so friendly and chatty. We had a lovely stay, the room was so spacious, even had a mini fridge and the pool was amazing, just what I wanted! Both Debbie and Ian were always available and ready to give recommendations for attractions and food. Ian entertained us with some of his life stories and cooked us an incredible breakfast. I am grateful we found this guest house last minute, it made my birthday so special and we'd definitely go back!

Such lovely people who work there really enjoyed the stay the area around it was lush and the hotel itself was so beautiful definitely recommend staying there especially with there lovely pool and hot tub !!

Had an incredible welcoming atmosphere farm shop was lovely staff were amazing! Rooms were cozy and clean and there was plenty of things to do on site and had recommendations for things to do in the surrounding areas

Our stay at Debbie's was amazing. The room was exactly what we needed and it felt like home. We didn't have a chance to use the pool or the hot tub due to the weather, but I bet it would be great. Definitely recommending to visit her!

Superb location and a few beautiful beaches nearby. Love a few little and large birds! Especially I saw two white peacocks 🦚 when I open the window curtains - perfect happy mornings! Hazel and Sandy were lovely, helpful and very warm welcome 🤗 they are amazing people to make sure we all are happy to stayed and we had fabulous breakfast 🍳 every mornings - perfect poached eggs 😀 also lovely gluten free breakfast for me. 🌸 Our dog Bracken had a tick above the eye and Hazel offered to use removed his tick. Very kind of her as she done brilliant job! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Great indoor swimming pool and unusual water well close by - lovely relaxing area and we enjoyed swimming warm water 💦 We truly enjoyed very much and my partner Paul proposed me on the last evening- perfect happy memories 🥰💍❤️ Thank you so much for everything 👌🏻

Great location, easy to walk in to town or to the beach/pier. Very clean, neat room.

Very friendly hosts, very clean and accessible space, exactly as described and pictured. Would especially recommend for families. Breakfast was provided and was lovely. Would definitely use again when visiting the area.

A little difficult to find as the map directions from Airbnb are not accurate but once I realised it was the Score Valley Country House Hotel there was really good signage on the main road. I didn’t stay in ‘Eve’ but another of their rooms which was very alike the pics and still had all the amenities listed - very comfortable, warm and clean. Listing gives mixed messages on pets but they were able to accommodate me and my dog, were very friendly and the grounds were lovely. They offer a dinner menu (additional cost) which was not advertised but I had an absolutely exceptional fresh fish dish from Alex their cook which I would highly recommend. Very friendly and I would def stay again. Thank you.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at Lesley's. It was super easy to find and Lesley provided really clear instructions with parking right out the front. Lesley kindly provided milk, orange juice, bread, butter, jam plus coffee and tea. The bed was a really comfortable king and there was plenty of storage space. The shower had great pressure and was really warm. Wifi worked perfectly. It was an easy walk downhill into Brixham (uphill coming back) and also within walking distance of Berry Head. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in/around the area.
