Hut holiday rentals in Mid Devon District

Had the best couple of days staying at the hut, was greeted by Alexandra who was extremely friendly and helpful she showed us the facilities and hut. hut itself was a lovely little place, we could've happily stayed for longer. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely stay again, thanks so much :)

This is our 5th time staying at The Glade. Myself, my son and our pooch love it there. Its so private, quiet and i love to sit amongst the wildlife and bird watch. A nice walk in the woods right beside the hut or just a chilled swing in the hammock. It is our favourite place to unwind. I love how everytime we visit the surroundings look different with the ever changing wildlife. It is as beautiful in winter and rain as it is in the sun and summer. Autumn has to be my favourite. Juliet is a lovely host and is not intrusive in the slightest. However she is very responsive if you need anything. We had a lovely chat this time whilst i was sat bird watching and she told me about a few birds she had seen. What can i say if you need to unwind then this is the place. Comfortable, quiet, homely and warm.

We loved our stay in the shepherd's hut. We wanted a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and it was exactly that. We were rained in for one day but it ended up being our favourite experience- the hut is so cosy, everything you need is to hand, and we could sit and watch the scenery for hours. On the sunnier days there is a short walk to the coast path and the views of the coastline. The toilet and shower is the perfect set up, we also loved the outside bath and the wood stove.

We had the most perfect stay at Rosies Retreat with our dog. Lucy was a fantastic host, we loved how accommodating she was through airbnb and we love a key box check in, we were left to enjoy the space which is how we like it but we knew she was there in the background if we did find we needed anything. This is a perfect retreat with a well behaved reactive dog who just loves to look out at a view and has nothing around to spook them 🐾 all three of us are fully recharged and already looking forward to another visit sometime x

Such a beautiful spot, so peaceful and remote yet within easy distances of some great places. The hot tub was a big hit with our 3 year old. Absolutely loved it. Thank you

Had a lovely stay in this beautiful hut. Unfortunately we had cloudy skies so didn’t get to stargaze. Loved our animal neighbours and the visits from the ducks. The BBQ and facilities were great we enjoyed cooking and eating al fresco all weekend. Walked to Winyard Gap for a pub lunch. All in all a lovely relaxing weekend.

We had such a wonderful time at Tracy’s shepherd’s hut. We felt so at home and certainly chilled throughout our stay. Our children loved stroking and feeding the goats. The shepherd’s hut had everything you could want or need, with the great addition of a hot tub and a fire to toasts marshmallows on. Tracy was so friendly and fantastic at responding to messages. She kindly arranged for a birthday banner and cupcakes to be prepared to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We loved our time and were very sad to come home!

We stayed in the hut called collie. It was absolutely stunning and was so lovely to stay it. Surrounded by nature and animals. Lovely view, hot tub was amazing. The bed was very comfy and everything you needed inside. Thank you so much!

Bliss ✨ Little Bear is a magical place. Private and peaceful with picturesque views and sounds of bird song. The perfect place to relax and recharge. We felt very much at home here and hope to return one day.

Fabulous place that is beyond what you would expect from a Shepherd’s Hut. Great thought and attention to detail has clearly gone into building and designing this place. It’s deceptively spacious and has got everything you need and more, the hot tub and outside seating are real bonuses, all in all a fabulous spot.

Amazing from start to finish! Great communication, easy directions, smooth self check in and a lovely rural peaceful location! We all felt very welcome. The Shepherd’s Hut was spotless and very well prepared for us with a thoughtful little welcome gifts. We really appreciated the attention to every single detail! The guide book with local tips was very useful. Now I regret not booking more nights as this was only a little stop on our way down to south Cornwall, but we’ll definitely be back! Quick One – Fantastic. Loved it. Would book again (Weather could not have been better) Longer Version (perhaps for those, like us, whom have not stayed in a Shepherds Hut/this area before) - I found and booked this as was looking for a bit of a break, in isolation, with some nice country around it and a few walks (hopefully to a pub). Jackpot – this was EXACTLY that, and more. The hut is a lovely place to stay. Great location, fantastic places to eat and drink, (some of which are within a relatively easy walking distance (20-40 mins, depending on which way you go)) Hut is not that small. The bed is fantastic – big and comfortable. (My favourite part of the day was waking up early and watching the low morning sun on the fields, sheep, trees and hills beyond, through various windows, from bed…. and I am not usually an early morning person, but this was special). There is quite a lot of attention to detail. It is very well done. Loved the unusual BBQ (want one) and firepit. Thanks E&J

We had a wonderful weekend at Claire’s farm! A terrific hut and hot tub, and beautiful surrounding area. Claire and her husband even took us around the farm to meet the animals and even feed some of the baby calves and sheep. Such a cool experience!

Had a wonderful stay. The shepherds hut had everything we needed for a peaceful retreat and yet was near the beach and some great market towns. The outside space was lovely especially the hot tub overlooking the lake. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at Diddylake was so peaceful. Watching the birds nesting in the farmhouse walls, the swallows at dusk and feeding on the seeds. Such a quiet place that felt really secluded. The meadow was looking beautiful, it was just a lovely spot to just sit and enjoy the outdoors. The shepherds huts themselves had everything you needed and more! Very comfortable bed, good kitchen facilities. The shower with that stunning view was amazing. Jackson and Sandra - You are building something very special here. We want to come back.

Really beautiful Airbnb with 3 separate huts for bedroom, kitchen and shower, and toilet. The fire pit and hot tub were particular highlights (the hot tube gets through a lot of wood so be sure to stock up at one of the local farm shops, we used Stokeleys). So romantic and a great off-the-grid kinda getaway! Highly recommend <3

The setting was absolutely beautiful and the hut was very well presented! Great suggestions for places to eat from Danette and the views and sounds from the hut of the countryside are unbeatable! We watched a barn owl from the hut on both nights we stayed!

We loved our stay at ‘The Hurdlers Hut’. A perfect, peaceful weekend away to recharge our batteries. The scenery was beautiful and the outside bath is an unforgettable experience. Jane is a great host - responsive and friendly and the property was wonderful and clean with everything you need for a weekend visit. We will be recommending to family and friends for sure and hope to visit again in the future!

We stayed for my husbands 60th along with our dog Lola. Rosa had left a bottle of Prosecco along with a birthday card which was a lovely touch. The hut was equipped with all essentials and was immaculate. The bed was super comfy. Our dog was welcomed and loved to explore the area with Daisy their dog and without. They got on well. Very secure for your dog to roam. We had a great time thank you. Rosa and Mark were friendly and helpful. Great hosts

Absolutely lovely stay! From the moment we booked it, Emma was excellent with communication and sent really helpful instructions. The actual hut was so cosy and set in beautiful surroundings. The hot tub was a perfect bonus and stayed hot for ages! Lovely finishing touches, including homemade cake, topped it all off. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you

We had a very enjoyable stay in the shepherd hut with our cocker spaniel. The shepherds hut was extremely cosy and comfortable. The enclosed garden was a perfect place to relax and great for our dog. Surrounding countryside is beautiful. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Our stay at Lisa’s place was absolutely magical. We loved being in peaceful Dartmoor Park. We were there in the spring and got to see all the wonderful little lambs running just outside our window. The walk Lisa recommended was spectacular.
