Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Midlothian

Great and clean house approximately 40 min. away from the city center. We were with the 4 of us and 2 of us had to sleep in the living room, but if you're not home that much that is not a problem at all. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet, and despite it not being close by any of the main tourist attractions of the city, the public transport to and from the city was relatively fast. The hosts were nice and easy to communicate with. Overall, a great place to stay! Would definitely recommend :)

This is one of the top stays ever for us. Marcin understands how to make a stay awesome. Seriously cool automotive theme. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

Me and my friends visited this property, and this is one of the best properties we stayed. It was so beautiful and homey. Norrane is very lovely lady. She also guide us with all nearby places and afcourse, if we are coming back to Edinburgh then definitely would like to stay here again...

The house was even larger than the photos suggested. It is a beautiful renovated old farm building, not far out of Edinburgh but completely rural. The surroundings are very peaceful with plenty of walks. The bedrooms, bathrooms and living area are all comfortable and light, suited our purposes (work). We enjoyed a visit to Rosslyn Chapel, not far away.

Absolutely stunning! We spent 4 nights at Jacqui’s and had the most amazing stay, the cottage was beautifully presented and so spacious and the outlook was breathtaking! Close to Edinburgh but out of the city enough to be so peaceful, we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Jacqui for the great stay, if we are ever back in Scotland we will definitely book again. 😊

Leadburn ist ein wundervoller Ort in der Nähe von Edinburgh. Die Ankunft war durch die gute Wegbeschreibung unkompliziert, und die etwas versteckte Lage des Hauses ist schlicht großartig. Theresa hat uns sehr nett empfangen, und in dem schönen, großzügig dimensionierten Haus mit einer auch für eine große Gruppe vollständig ausgestatteter Küche haben wir uns wirklich wohlgefühlt; für uns (4 Personen) war das Platzangebot schlicht luxuriös. Die Lage an einem kleinen Gewässer ist wunderbar, so dass man versucht ist, gar nicht erst nach Edinburgh (oder in andere Gegenden) zu fahren, sondern nur die unmittelbare Umgebung zu genießen und zu erkunden. Alles in allem eine große Empfehlung, wenn man ein paar Tage in der Nähe von Edinburgh und zugleich in einer - im positiven Sinne - abgeschiedenen Lage inmitten der Natur verbringen möchte!

我们四个人在Usman可爱的房源住得很开心，两个晚上都睡得好极了。Usman绝对是超赞房东，提前给予我们清晰的入住说明，以及行程指导。房间与平台上的介绍完全相符，便利，清洁，温暖，安静。卫生间干净，热水很好，厨房用品、餐具齐全，房间布置温馨，交通方便，步行十来分钟就有多路公交车，还有火车。在退房时，热心及时地帮助我们预约出租车，为我们做了很多事情，我们四人都非常感谢她。如果再来爱丁堡，会毫不犹豫再选择这所房源。Usman绝对是超赞房东，我给出全五星评价。并推荐给其他将要来爱丁堡的朋友。

The cottage is very clean and tidy with a lovely garden and very spacious. The parking is outside the property next to the road We just had to be careful with getting our dogs in and out the car But grateful there is parking with the accommodation. kitchen facilities are very limited. No coffee machine No welcome pack just UHT milk packet coffee It would of been nice to have a few welcome treats . Communication very good I would recommend this lovely Cottage

We really enjoyed staying at Adam's place, it was a very nice spacious flat in the leafy subburbs of Edinburgh. At the end of the road there was everything ypu could possibly want, shops, pubs and bars, restaraunts and great transport links into the city. The bus line at the end of the road was fantastic, we could be in the city in 20 minutes max, 10 when the traffic was quieter. You could get to all parts of the city too, The Old Town, Princess Street, Leith and much more besides. Adam was a fantastic host, great communication and clear instructions always make life a littel easier. He was flexible in letting us drop off our bags early so that we did not have to haul them around the city. We were a family of four plus one, we went to Edinburgh so that my son could run the Marathon with his best pal (The plus one). The flat had everything we needed and more. Adam even left some energy gels for my son's run, and very nice touch. We would highly recommend Nile Grove.

Great little flat in a quiet area, looked just like the photos and was very easy to check in. Host was communicative and lovely to deal with.

We had a great stay at Audrey's place. We stayed there for 3 months and both Audrey and Fergus have been very helpful and kind from the start. We requested an additional workstation and Audrey agreed without any hesitation and had arranged it before our arrival. The apartment has everything for a comfortable stay with lovely walks close by. There is a bus service (every 20 minutes) with a 7-minute walk which takes you straight to the Edinburgh city centre. Would highly recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a peaceful and cosy stay without the hassle of the city. Thank you, Audrey and Fergus!

Wir wollten eine Unterkunft von welcher wir aus Edinburgh erkunden konnten. Das hat diese Unterkunft voll und ganz erfüllt. Fußläufig sind die Buslinien gut erreichbar. Wenn man in die Stadt will, dann gibt es zwei Bushaltestellen. Einmal an der Uni und dann nochmals am großen Parkplatz. Beide Stellen sind zu Fuß in max. 10 Minuten erreichbar. Statt mit dem Bus kann man sich aber auch ein Taxi kommen lassen. Das geht ganz besonders gut und sehr günstig mit UBer. In der Stadt Edinburgh selbst ist alles mit Bussen sehr gut zu erreichen. Trotz dessem, dass die Unterkunft an der Landstraße liegt, ist es sehr ruhig, vor allem auf dem Balkon zum Feld. Morgens besteht etwas mehr Verkehr und damit etwas mehr Geräusche von der Landstraße. Das hat uns aber nicht gestört. Die Unterkunft selbst ist gut ausgestattet, auch die Küche. Gerne werden wir wieder kommen!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt als sehr angenehm empfunden. Die Unterkunft ist etwas außerhalb gelegen aber durch einige Buslinien sehr gut mit dem Zentrum verbunden. Der Platz ist wirklich ideal genutzt und zu zweit fühlt man sich sehr wohl. Auch steht Infomaterial zur Verfügung.

Eine schöne Unterkunft unweit von Edinburgh. Diese Unterkunft ist schön gelegen, mit einer tollen Aussicht. Nach Edinburgh fährt man mit dem Auto zwischen 15-30 min., je nachdem wo man parken will und wie der Verkehr ist. Um Parkplätze zu finden haben wir die App „JustPark“ genutzt. Die hatte ich in Schottland entdeckt und die war sehr hilfreich. Vom Flughafen fährt man etwa 15 min mit dem Auto zur Unterkunft. Etwas aufpassen muss man, dass man die Einfhart nicht verpasst, im dunklen ist sie schwer zu erkennen. Da wäre sicherlich eine Art Reflektor hilfreich. Einen Parkplatz gibt es auch direkt an der Unterkunft, es wäre sogar Platz für mehrere Autos. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet und man hat alles, was man zum schlafen und kochen benötigt. Wir waren zu dritt dort (meine Frau, ihr Bruder und ich) und wir hatten auch kein Problem damit, dass alles in einem Zimmer war (beide Betten und Küche). Es ist schön gemütlich und hat sich wie ein zuhause angefühlt. Vielen Dank!

As a Fifer, it’s always nice to come back and stay. Craigs place was easy to find, spacious and spotlessly clean, and Burntisland is a lovely town. I would certainly stay at Craigs again.

We had a fantastic stay at Anke’s place in Shaftesbury! The location was ideal—just a short walk to the canal and within easy walking distance to Edinburgh city centre. There was a great local restaurant nearby called Gio, and a supermarket just around the corner, which made everything super convenient. The house was spotless and incredibly well-equipped—we didn’t need a thing. It truly felt like a home away from home. Anke was a wonderful host—very kind and attentive. She even surprised my husband with a birthday card and a bottle of wine, which was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay extra special. Would absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back!

Kleine Wohnung, die alles hat, was man braucht. Ruhige Lage mit vielen Geschäften und Restaurants in der Nähe.

We spent two nights at The Butler's Basement for my husband's birthday and it was an ideal base. We did have an issue getting in as the lockbox didn't work, but her son came down and resolved the issue. The apartment was very clean and in a great area - some lovely bars and restaurants that we preferred to spend time in, more than the busier side of Edinburgh. Gemma was very responsive to my messages and we also had a bottle of fizz in the fridge as well as some short bread and chocolate. It might be an idea to put a small bottle of milk in the fridge, as we did have tea and coffee provided but didn't want to buy a whole pint of milk to make a couple of drinks. However it certainly wasn't an issue that would stop us staying again!

Kornelia’s place is beautiful and peaceful and I would definitely recommend it to others. It is modern, has great amenities, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Kornelia includes lots of little extras like bread, milk, chips and every spice you can think of! It is very handy having a washing machine and a dryer too. It was 100% accurately described and the location was excellent. It was an easy walk into the city but if you prefer, the bus stop is just around the corner. Kornelia was a responsive host and we appreciated her checking in to see if we had arrived safely. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Kornelia’s flat. It is definitely one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at.

Great value Airbnb. Very well equipped. Lovely to get breakfast products. Beds were comfy, Inc the sofa bed. The outside space was a bonus. Great walks. Straightforward bus service to explore further afield. Lots of local walks, pubs and food options. Rosie couldn’t do enough for us. A great weekend. Thank you Rosie.

We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely return. The location is perfect - with the sea just across the road, very close to the pier/harbour area and a couple of minutes from the end of the high street. North Berwick is a lovely little town, perfect for a short break, and was particularly good for our needs with a wheelchair user / someone with mobility issues. Would highly recommend both North Berwick and this accommodation.

We had 5 days in this beautiful city and we were lucky enough to stay in this beautiful apartment on the water. The view was amazing. Beds super comfortable with crisp comfy linens. Great hot water and roomy bathrooms. I would stay here again in a heart beat... we were a little sad to leave. 10/10
