Ichinokura Rock Climbing Trailhead, and the rear station of Doi Station (the next station beyond the tunnel) have long been home to mountaineers. This is a lovely private lodging with the backdrop of the protagonist of the novel "Snow Country", Shimamura, who met Komako in a downhill inn (of course, this is the story of the novel).
