Une jolie chambre! Whether you are planning to dine at the Inn as we were or just exploring the extraordinary delights of this part of New York, from the Catskills to Cooperstown to the Finger Lakes, the Horned Dorset delights. We were greeted by Mme (actually Signora) Magdalena and shown to a four-poster bedroom outfitted with antique chairs and a marble table on which there were two place settings surrounding a gorgeous (and tasty) fruit plate worthy of a Cezanne still life. The spacious bath was outfitted with lush towels and Beekman 1802 toiletries. Breakfast was a Euro buffet of fine cheeses, charcuterie, perfect soft boiled eggs, muesli, yoghurt, fruit, and à la minute (absolutely fresh) jus d'orange. Two quibbles about our stay: aging mattress slanted to a center valley, mini-croissants slightly stale. Otherwise an American version of une véritable auberge de campagne.

Joe and Natasha are great hosts! Our stay was fun and relaxing. Having just purchased the lodge, they had it together. This is a perfect location to get away.

Our stay was peaceful , right out of a novel. Waking up to cool foggy mornings and a warm coffee waiting for me. Off the beaten path and yet central to all the areas we needed to visit. If you need to unplug from the busy life this is where you can do it.

Lovely, antique home with large suite (bedroom, bath and sitting room with working gas fireplace) on back of second floor. Comfortable antique furnishings, well lit, space to spread out and welcomed our (well-behaved) 25 lb. canine. Breakfast in the dining room was warm breads, freshly brewed coffee/tea, juice, some meats and cheeses, yogurt and granola all on a white tablecloth. A good location for parents visiting Hamilton, Colgate or other area colleges. Oh and don’t forget to grab a delicious Cortland apple in the bowl on the way out if you are there in the fall!

I had an amazing stay at eastwind! The hotel and room were exactly as described — clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, with easy access to downtown and right next door is union + post where you can have dinner. Eastwind had a link sent to your phone when we checked in that was incredibly welcoming, providing helpful tips about the area and making sure I had everything I needed. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient spot. Thanks again for a fantastic experience!

Horney Dorset is a great place to stay if you want to get away from the big city. Its located in a small town with not much to do but it's such a pretty area of NY. We stayed there for the Cooperstown Hall of Fame induction ceremony which was a very beautiful 30 min drive east. The house was cute with a lot of antiques for decoration. The complimentary breakfast was amazing and relaxing each morning. Kingsley was very nice and lives close to the house we rented in case we needed anything. Thank you for everything!

Charming location and excellent hosts; within 30 minutes to downtown Cooperstown (beautiful farmland and country drives); adjacent restaurant has an outstanding menu and bar; room was very clean and well-appointed; would stay here again without hesitation!

This ranch resort is next to the Hudson River at the base of a mountain; staff and guests are friendly and helpful. Gorgeous setting with horses onsite near by. The accommodations are new and beautiful. Rustic and country themed rooms. The available activities were fun; due to a storm, many were not accessible. Sports, bikes, kayaks all included. Clean pool and hot tub. We experienced some inconveniences and difficulties due to the storm, but in the end, staff were accommodating and made things right. Temperature of rooms were comfortable and easy to adjust. Nice showers and beds. Cute gift shop. Food and horse riding additional fee. Overall much potential. Looking forward to coming back.

as far as price and access to the beach it already was great. Then they even provided kayaks, canoes , fire pits and fast response time service. The view at sunrise and at night make give this place 6 outta 5 stars

Perfect weekend getaway. The breakfast was amazing and each room is very unique, beautiful Victorian style and history. Our room Northeastern Exposure was large and clean with high ceilings and space. The Inn is right next to a pretty small lake and 15-20 min drive to Lake George. There are other lakes in the area to explore as well such as Sacandaga lake which we loved. A lot of great hiking spots within 30 minutes - hour drive. I did not get to try the Inn wine bar but saw a few people enjoying wine on the patio. I would recommend for any couple looking to relax and get away from city life.

Photos do not do the Lodge justice. We were met with excellent hospitality. Kevin was on site for our visit. He led us through the trails to hike on the property, best locations to stargaze, and kept the space warm with both wood burning stoves. The bed is firm and very comfy. And the water! Oh my goodness, so pure! The nights were so clear we were able to see the galaxy’s edge and Orion’s nebula. If you are seeking an escape from your regular life, go unplug and unwind at the Lodge at Hidden Falls. It is an easy decision, and one you won’t regret.

Stayed here 33 years ago on our last minute change on our honeymoon, loved the place then and now 33 years later love it even more. The staff was very accommodating and friendly the breakfast is to die for nice menu and daily specials make it even more special. Loved the outdoor fire pit and sitting at night on the porch oh! And they have a wine bar with cheese platter accompanied by live music. Definitely be back in the near future. Maria & Charles B

This beautiful B&B is an idyllic location, surrounded by lovely foliage, waterfalls and creeks. The inn and carriage house are spacious, well appointed and well kept, perfect for a change of pace from city life, or a romantic getaway away.

We had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We loved the stay and the whole experience. Everyone was so friendly and the breakfast every day morning was so amazing. We’ll definitely be back. I highly recommend this place to get away from a city and get some peaceful and quiet time!

Great stay.Would definitely stay again

I had a great stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and I had a shower with plenty of hot water. There was cable TV in the room as well as wifi for one device. The restaurant has an extensive menu from which you can choose your favorite dish. I had a bowl of N.E. clam chowder and an ample portion of chicken riggies, both of which were excellent. If you like them spicy, just make sure to specify that when you order them. They will make the riggies as spicy as you like. The bar and restaurant have an amazing staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. On the negative, the floor needed a thorough vacuuming. There was hair(human yes, pet?)and grass and little stones from the driveway. The grass and hair from the floor must have gotten on the sheets when they were making the bed. Sheets were clean otherwise, I just had to brush everything off the bed sheets. I stripped the bed down and remade it brushing the grass and hair off as I re-made it. I would stay here again
