Family-friendly holiday rentals in Monchique

A really lovely villa, photos don’t really do it justice. It’s very spacious and there was plenty of room for our group, 6 adults and 3 young children. The pool and play area were very popular. Lisa and David were great hosts. They provided everything we needed and more and were very good with communication and info. Some lovely personal touches for our stay left in the villa too which were much appreciated. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa and hope to return again sometime.

The accommodation was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at, the views in the morning on the rooftop where unforgettable, the host was very helpful and approachable when needing some guidance, the only concern is that we didn’t stay for longer!! Would 100% recommend

Really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was pristine, modern and ideally located to the town centre, yet still remarkably quiet. The host was excellent and responsive. Definitely recommend.

Our stay was wonderful, the townhouse is beautiful and in a very peaceful spot, yet so close to town! The hot tub was great in the evenings. It was super clean and has beautiful Portuguese charm. The space is large and private, it is nice to park your car right at the door to bring luggage in. Communication and recommendations were good. Amazing Airbnb! The location was perfect with easy access to the beach and other shops/restaurants, and having an elevator was great. If going to the beach, walk West through the cliff to Três Castelos Beach—it’s much less crowded over there and fun to explore all of the cool rock formations! Hosts were kind, accommodating for early check in, and provided great recommendations. Absolutely recommend!

Peggy was extremely kind and responded quickly to our messages. She met us for check-in and explained everything!! The apartment is on the top floor and a 10 min walk to most things. The porch doesn’t have an ocean view, it is a view of the city which is still very pretty! The apartment was very very clean! I would definitely stay here again!! Parking was easy also. I highly recommend this Airbnb.

Our stay was wonderful! After a long week of traveling it was a great place to settle down with gorgeous views and everything you need within walking distance. There were multiple options for beaches whether we wanted more quiet versus more public with food/drinks available. Grilling on the rooftop made for beautiful family dinners with a cool grill and amazing views. Laura was very helpful with showing us around, providing recommendations, and even letting us back into the home when we locked ourselves out! Easy drive (30-45 mins) to Lagos or Faro for day trips. Overall definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy little apartment — truly a hidden gem in Albufeira! The location couldn’t have been better, with easy walking access to the Old Town, the beach, key attractions, great restaurants, and just a short stroll to the marina for boat tours to the Benagil caves. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. Isabel was incredibly kind and highly accommodating, especially considering we were travelling with our infant. She made sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. We felt very welcome and at home throughout our stay. We’d absolutely love to return to this place the next time we’re in Albufeira. Highly recommended!

Honestly, I can’t say enough about Ana on how she went above and beyond to make my weekend celebrating my birthday and bachelorette with my friends special! She went as far as to in on the surprise to ensure that I was completely blown away! The villa is spectacular and my only regret is the number of balloons we left lying around when we left (sorry Ana). The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, great convenient location with a grocery store and cafes nearby. Also wasn’t too far to get to the main strip! I highly recommend booking this gorgeous villa!

We stayed for a week with our baby and had a wonderful time. It‘s a super peaceful, beautiful place - especially the surrounding grounds are magical. The house itself is simple but cozy and very charming, the terrace overlooking the property‘s nature is a wonderful place to hang out and chill, and we made good use of the BBQ and outside shower. At some point we had a power outage, but Ana dealt with it promptly and professionally. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a retreat in nature.

Silvia has always been very friendly and responsive. The accommodation is perfect and a 10-minute walk from the old town of Lagos, 20 minutes from the beaches. Everything is available: beach towels, parasol, beach toys... The welcome gifts are fabulous (breakfast, fridge almost full!!!...). I highly recommend it!

We were completely happy with the place. The apartment was even more spacious than the pictures showed and the bed was outstanding. It was also great that we could use bicycles for free. Luis was a great host, always available and took care of everything.

Stunningly beautiful and private oasis! You get all the privacy you want in this gorgeous house with an amazing eco garden. The natural pool is great…no chlorine, no itch. Jan is a super nice and responsive host. We’ be back

Really great location and the view from the pool was amazing. It was very easy to drive to all different areas of Algarve from here. Birgit was very nice, thoughtful, and gave great recommendations on what to see and restaurants to eat at.

Raquel is one of the most communicative and responsive hosts I’ve ever interacted with on Airbnb. The location of this home is unbelievable. I fell in love with Albufeira from the first few hours i was there, and couldn’t believe how well-situated this place was to all the fun the area has to offer. ACs and most amenities worked well. I’m not sure if it’s a design related to homes in that area, but the open bathroom in the master bedroom, including the shower design, seemed impractical. I needed to rearrange items in that area, and wipe the floor/toilet after every shower. The iron was unusable due to a stain on the ironing surface, and risk of damaging clothes. The washing machine was small and not very effective. We needed to do a lot of loads to clean our clothes, then air dry them, but glad we had a washer! Overall, this is a great place, Raquel’s a great host, and i recommend booking, for anyone visiting Albufeira. Great for 2 ppl, but could accommodate a couple more too. Enjoy!

We had a great stay at Susana and Rodrigo's flat! It was clean, well arranged, and had great amenities in the complex. There is an excellent specialty coffee shop within 5 minutes walk and a small supermarket which were very helpful. The pools were great for the kids. There are several great beaches nearby. The marina is a short walk. All in all a great spot in Lagos! Thanks!

Carlota’s place is located in amazing Villa with beautiful surroundings! Amazing beaches to get to and her local recommendations were excellent ! The pool was great but unfortunately due to the weather it was a bit too cold to use and shower facilities were under construction. The only downside is the bed option, as described from the picture, the main bedroom is with 2 twin beds and a sofa bed. One big bed would’ve been more comfortable but breathtakingly beautiful view makes everything ok. We had some issue with laundry machine as it wasn’t in a good condition but we cleaned it and bought strong scent laundry detergent made it usable again! Wonderful memories from the beautiful landscape and activities and especial thanks to warm and heart full neighbor downstairs! Thank you again and it was a pleasant stay!

Patrick and Hetty run a little oasis in the nature – we made a super spontaneous booking on the same day and Partrick cut his beach-day short for us. He showed us arround on their property wich has all you need! The cabin was very cosy and we felt home. Had all you need to cook yourself. We liked the cosy getaway!
