Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Monroe County

As a solo mom of a toddler- Tamara’s place had all I needed. First location- having never been to Rochester- it’s always A gamble picking a neighborhood- as I drove in- pride flags on many houses- a woman working in the school garden, dogs and scooters and kids on the playground. Parking was right in front of the house, only a few steps up and in we were to a lovely old home. Kitchen had all the things and more I needed. Fridge while apartment sized- for everything I needed from my cooler- and had a Britta ready to go. She has a pack and play with a mattress insert and sheets. Game changer for not having to lug the entire car in for 1 night. Tamara was so kind and helpful and I will find a reason to come back. It felt like airbnb days of old. Just dropped in the middle of a neighborhood and felt right at home.

Gregory was a great host . Everything we needed was there for us . He even went out of his way to bring us the BBQ grill . We went while it was still winter so it’s usually stored during that time . The house was clean , comfortable and directly across the street from Lake Ontario . Very quiet neighborhood with allot to do around you that’s walking distance . I highly recommend this home if you’re looking for a relaxing peaceful experience with a great host ..

We absolutely loved the house, the brilliant views from the front room and the house. Very family friendly and even with bad weather it was great being indoors.

What a cozy place! I don't feel like the photos do this place justice, we kept saying "This is so cute!" Frankie very clearly paid attention to detail in terms of style and comfort. On top of the house being amazing, the area is really nice. Super quiet, a lot of food/restaurants to choose from, and you're super close to parks and downtown. An all around excellent place to stay. If we find ourselves in the area again, we'll definitely come back if it's available!

absolutely perfect for our stay while visiting RIT. It's my first experience with Airbnb, and it couldnt have been better.

Probably the nicest funky place you could find. This is definitely somewhere you stay for some character but it also provides every amenity you could need for an extended stay. The actual neighborhood is quiet, parking is easy even without the pass, and it’s pretty much a 10 min drive to any restaurant or bar you could want. The host is super friendly and very responsive. When I’m back, I’m definitely staying here again.

We were very happy with our stay at Kevin's house! He showed attention to cleanliness and comfort that we really appreciated. We were there for three nights and it was so nice having a place to go to in a good neighborhood to relax at the end of our busy days. All the amenities and space that we needed! The beds were clean and comfortable and each room provided some closet space which was much appreciated! We will definitely look to stay here again when we are in the area!

It was 2nd floor apartment that has separate door lock. Kendra was really kind host and instruction was clear. It was clean and beautiful airbnb. Sofa was just sofa, not sofabed. 2 queen beds were comfy and suitable for 4 people. My family could walk to strong museum of play, and my kids loved the museum(and this airbnb). There was a parking lot across the street. It's parking space of fitness center, but Kendra owns a lot. It has laundry facilities and dishwasher, and full kitchen. My favorite part was the skylight in the ceiling

Very welcoming and clean space. Looks even cuter than the pictures and is absolutely spotless! Feels very private and the balcony was very serene with the surrounding trees. Lots of room to park, my husband has a large truck and we had no problem navigating the driveway. Walkable to local restaurants, gas station, the canal, grocery store, etc. 10/10 recommend the space and would rent the space again on our next visit!

This was an amazing stay! The location was great, and I was very impressed with how Salma had been so thoughtful in their amenities. Just little things like hooks for purses, extra towels, standard items in the fridge, were very appreciated. I can see why she is a Super Host! It’s the perfect location if you want easy access to the many museums and restaurants nearby.

A clean and comfortable apartment. They even had a few food items. A beautifully renovated apartment within a period house.

The house was spotless, the location was perfect for walking to restaurants, the Eastman Museum, the Frank Lloyd Wright house, and so many other things we didn't even have a chance to do. We really appreciated the local decor in the house and especially the book of 100 Things to do in Rochester which added the Genessee brewery tour and a visit to the House of Guitars to our itinerary. Thank you for a great stay!

We had an excellent stay at Alexander’s! Perfect location for attending the Nitrate Film Festival, but also lots of food and cafes within walking distance too. The apartment itself is in a beautiful historic home and was very comfortable. We’d absolutely book a stay here again!

Definitely will be staying here again. Very peaceful environment. Absolutely wonderful view from the windows to the trees. Quiet, clean, and stress free. After working in the ER, sleeping was such a dream. I didn't get to meet the host due to our schedules but he was very responsive and accommodating and most of all, super chill. you can get a sense of personality from the decor. Pro: DEDICATED BATHROOM (hot water is HOT- it's great!) Quiet Lots of windows! Drinks galore (if your into that.) Street parking is safe and plentiful. if it gets cold, there's blankets in the closet Locks on bathroom and your room There's only you and the host that share the place it's not high traffic at all. Wi-Fi is great. (I could connect to my PS5 with my portal with a crystal clear stream.) Bed is low profile and comfortable. Plenty of places to put your things should you need to. Con: the street parking sign has a typo I think.. Thanks for letting me stay. I hope to book again soon.

Nice host with responsive.communications and clean room and bathroom. Good for bike tourists and not too far from the canal. Supermarket fairly close along with many restaurants.

Booked as a surprised for my bills-fan husband the weekend of our wedding. Pretty cool place. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but it was fine! If you’re coming here to watch football- keep in mind it’s a projector screen and not a tv. Sound only comes from the projector. The screen isn’t taught so I don’t think it’d be be best place for watching parties. But other than that we had a great time!

We had a fantastic stay at Gregory’s place! The location was just perfect for us—situated in a beautiful, historic neighborhood that was great for walking around and soaking in the local charm. It was close to everything we needed, including a lovely coffee shop just around the corner. The apartment itself was spotless, comfortable, and felt like a home away from home. Gregory was incredibly helpful and responsive, which made our stay even smoother. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

The condo was in a nice, quite development. There were plenty of stores and gas stations close by and easy access to the freeway.

Every time I visit home, I always try to book new places. This space was exactly as advertised, very clean, nice tucked away space. Brought back a lot of memories because the unit is right across the street from my old middle school. Elizabeth was a great host. Responses were on time and checking in was flexible. The garage was perfect for my rental. I plan on visiting Rochester again in July. If Elizabeth’s unit is available I will be booking again.
