Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Monte Testaccio

From the moment we stepped into the place it felt very cozy. In a very quiet neighbourhood and as mentioned, a minute walk to the bus stop to take you to the city of Ancient Rome. Places to eat nearby as well. The highlight of the place was the spacious outdoor patio, where we took nap each afternoons. The place itself was equipped with nice comfy bed, kitchen with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher and stove where we made caffe every morning. The bathroom was nice and clean, we had one minor issue on day 1 but Apollonia and her partner came over right away at night to fix it and now that is going above and beyond to provide an excellent service. Grazie Mille :) Again, I can’t emphasize the Catello home, would definitely recommend this place and will book it again without any hesitation.

Comfortable apartment for 2 people. Double glazed windows insulating very well from the street. Ideal location, very central. Friendly neighborhood. Even though the arrival was independent due to the late schedule, we felt very welcome by the various small touches. Alessia was very responsive to our requests for information and gave good advice for restaurants. Very nice stay.

Paola was very accommodating and we were able to drop off our luggage early. The area is super cozy with good restaurants. Shopping just down the street. We went out to see the sights, but took a taxi home. Many good steps on the "account" and nice to get away from all the noisy tourist crowds when we went home to the apartment. I had to sit with the coffee on the balcony. 😍 Highly recommended

An amazing apartment that I would highly recommend. The terrace is beautiful and worth a visit. If you want to be at the heart of the party in a very lively neighborhood, this place is for you. There are several nice bars and delicious restaurants open until late around the apartment. (Noise to be expected) Easy to access and a responsive host, I go back anytime.

Simone was the best host I have ever had on Airbnb!!! The check-in instructions were so clear and easy to follow which was great after 30 hours of travel! The place was private and has everything you could want. Not to mention the courtyard is beautiful and a lovely place to relax! I would absolutely stay again and could not recommend it more!!

Serena’s place was great, very charming. I could walk to St Peter’s sq and there are many great eateries nearby. Serena was unable to respond to me due to an emergency but referred me to her friend Adriana who was so responsive and made great recommendations for restaurants and places to go, I felt safe as a solo traveller and am so thankful I found this place. I would definitely stay at her place again! Thank you Serena and Adriana!

My husband and I had an amazing time in Trastevere and thoroughly enjoyed Livia’s beautiful apartment. As a number of reviews have mentioned —it’s at the top of a long flight of stairs, but the walk is more than worth it. We enjoyed coffee on the terrace each morning and had a lovely evening with takeaway pizzas with the faint sounds of people in the piazza below. Truly charming. You feel like you are away from the chaos when you’re in the apartment but can join easily at any time. The apartment is well set up and there are a number of nice features like a laundry machine which we made good use of at the end of a long trip. It’s our first time staying in Trastevere and we would happily come back.

Had a great stay at Petra’s place. Convenient location close to cafés walking distance to the Vatican comfortable accommodations.

Our stay with Valerio was fantastic! He accomodated our late check in and welcomed us personally and explained all the amenities. The apartment is very luxurious and modern with the jacuzzi being the highlight. Very well furnished, the home had everything we needed. We were close to the Vatican so it made commuting to our tour very easy. We spent the evening outdoor part of the house, and thoroughly enjoyed using the jacuzzi while watching TV. We are glad we chose to stay with Valerio and we highly recommend!

I couldn't recommend more Pio and Iolanda's home to any traveller. The energy of the home is peaceful and soft - while remaining visually outstanding. Pio and Yolanda are two of the kindest and fun-loving souls I have ever met. They deeply respect your privacy, yet are there in a heartbeat if you need them. They open not only their home through this experience, but their hearts. If you want to feel at home in Italy, this is your place. I enjoyed being out of the city for peace and restoration, surrounded by the symphony of birdsong in the yards and glorious gardens after spending a lot of time in city centres. I also was invited to enjoy a beautiful dinner with their family one night. What a special experience! Thankyou for having me - til next time!

We are very happy with the apartment and the owner. The apartment is clean, quiet, cozy, has everything you need. Great view from the window. The area is almost free of tourists and there are many delicious places for locals. I recommend this place.

I cannot say enough about Klevin. The apartment was exactly as described, clean, gorgeous, quiet, comfortable, easy to access. Most importantly, Klevin was ALWAYS accessible to us. We were robbed in Rome and Klevin went above and beyond to help us get new passports in time to make our cruise. We owe our entire vacation to him and his kindness.

Our stay was awesome, and both hosts made everything very convenient. They are about a 15-20 minute walk from the metro station and you can get everywhere from there. They provided us with all the information we needed and answered our questions. The place is very homey, and I would definitely stay again!

Anna Maria is one of the best host I have come across my stays on Airbnb, she has an excellent independent house, sparking clean and close to Rome terminal (walkable 15 mins). The kitchen is equipped with all the utensils and equipments which helped to cook and feed my toddler during my vacation in Rome. The rooms are amazing with all the amenities. . I experienced very easy check in and check out and her helpfulness was really amazing and unmatched. . I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an Italian house close to Terminal and with good restaurants nearby.

Giacomo's place is located in the back of a peaceful and well-maintained Trastevere residence. Simin welcomed us warmly. The neighborhood is very nice, the accommodation is fully consistent with the photos and really well-equipped (including the kitchen). We enjoyed our Roman stay!

The apartment was clean and spacious. Carla was available if needed. Great communication. The location was perfect and was easy to walk around and find everything we needed in the area. There is a tram and train station. Every Sunday the flea market is literally in the square. Bedroom is in the back so there is no traffic noises.

My stay at Marco’s flat was nothing less than spectacular. The location is so convenient. A mere 6 minute walk from Termini Station from which you can find train, metro, and bus options to get anywhere else in and around Rome. While it is very close to the busy Termini area, the flat itself is a peaceful, serene oasis. The flat has authentic charm and really feels like a home away from home. The terrace is huge and provides great views of the surrounding areas. The kitchen was well equipped and had many options for making espresso/coffee and Marco provides some basic sweet breads for breakfast. Marco is an artist and the flat has several of his paintings. There is a lot of great art in the place. It seemed that every time I looked around I would find something new to admire. I highly recommend Marco’s place when you are visiting Rome.

Great place, awesome location. You have everything just around the corner, restaurants, train station, ferry. Lots of options to do at a walkable distance.

This was my first time visiting Rome, and choosing this place was one of the best decisions I made. I’m leaving with so many wonderful memories, thanks to this stay! Carmen was an amazing host! I arrived a bit early and needed to leave my luggage, and she was incredibly helpful. She explained everything in the house perfectly and even recommended some great local restaurants, which turned out to be fantastic. The apartment was just as beautiful and spotless as shown in the photos—clean, well-organized, and welcoming. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance in the future!

Very well-equipped accommodation, comfortable bed, very nice terrace! Very good restaurants nearby. Please note, however, that there is no air conditioning and the center of Rome is quite far on foot.

Had a beautiful stay , first time visiting Italy and was grateful to be able to experience both the city and the local areas in only a couple of days. Host very responsive and helpful throughout stay! Would highly recommend and would stay again :)

Ale was very kind and helpful, the apartment is spacious and clean, the location has easy access to bus and subway lines to get to the main tourist spots, the cost benefit is very good compared to the main options in the historic center, it is definitely worth it!!
