We recently stayed at Waterfall House at Walkersons Estate in Dullstroom, and it was an unforgettable experience. The accommodation was luxurious, spacious, and beautifully decorated, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The peaceful setting of the house and estate provided the perfect escape from everyday life. The owners of the house as well as Sylvia, the housekeeper, were incredibly friendly and helpful and ensured our stayed was as untroubled as possible. The estate also offers amenities such as bicycle rentals, hiking, horse riding and even a very relaxing spa. Overall, Waterfall House is a true gem, offering both comfort and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene getaway!

From the moment I enquired about the place until the day I checked out, Juanita was so friendly and responsive. The place is serene and definitely worth the stay. Peaceful surroundings, with a massive front lawn that is very kid and dog friendly! The little add ons were well received such as an ice machine, golf clubs and balls, etc. I would definitely recommend it and cannot wait to visit again.

Although my stay was short, I absolutely adored this place – a true hidden gem! Jack was super accommodating, making the whole experience even better. We have just come back from spending nine unforgettable nights at Penzhorn Rest Cottage and it exceeded all of our expectations - even better than the photos! Zonja, our host, welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so accommodating to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Her hospitality has honestly blown us away! The highlight of our stay was the daily sight and sound of the river with nightly hippo visitors which added such a magical touch to our stay, immersing us in the beauty and awe of the African bush. Whether enjoying a coffee while reading by the river or relaxing in the ‘bosbad’ every moment felt really special to us! Zonja’s meticulous eye for detail was evident in the small touches around the cottage which made us feel right at home. This is a haven for nature lovers seeking a luxurious yet authentic escape. If you decide to book this listing you won’t be disappointed! We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to returning!

We had a wonderful time in Carmari's house during our stay in White River. + The pictures are accurate and the house has all amenities as described. + The house was complete with an outside veranda perfect for summer nights as well as a fireplace inside for cold winter nights + we loved the layout of the bedrooms and the open plan shower/bath area + the kitchen was stacked with all utensils, spices, coffee, milk..... + Carmari was super attentive and provided us with loads of recommendations for things to do in the are. She was also very responsive to all questions we had. Would definitely choose to stay here again. Thanks Carmari!

We had great weekend away. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was great to have Johanna on hand to do the basic clean up. The walks were enjoyable and birdlife was great as well. The house had basic solar and a gas geyser (update the instructions from the Donkey?) The house at night was cosy in front off the fire and they had hot water bottles on hand for the bedrooms as they were chilly. A small wood burner for the main Bedroom would be an added bonus? All in all a great spot to recharge.

An Unforgettable Stay at Elandsvlei! We had an absolutely incredible stay at Elandsvlei! The entire weekend was peaceful and rejuvenating. We explored every waterfall we could find, enjoyed picnics all over the farm, and took long, scenic walks. The offroading opportunities were fantastic and added a real sense of adventure to our trip. One of the true highlights was stargazing in the boma by a cozy fire — an experience we’ll never forget. The sunrises streaming through our windows each morning were simply breathtaking. The house we stayed in was perfect — it had everything we needed and more, making our stay extremely comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. We were warmly welcomed at the gate and personally escorted to our accommodation. Elandsvlei truly exceeded all our expectations, and we can't wait to return!

We had a family weekend away there and it was amazing. The house is tucked away in valley near by to Dullstroom main town - about a 15min drive away. The home is spacious, beautifully laid out and comfortable, the fireplace is amazing in winter and the view is spectacular. Definitely recommend if you’re keen on a weekend escape.
