Het Goede Gemoed is located in a very wooded area where you can walk, cycle and recreate to your heart's content. On the grounds of the University of Twente you can enjoy sports. The inner cities of Enschede, Hengelo, Oldenzaal and Borne are within cycling distance of the house. The lovely villages of Delden, Goor, Boekelo are also in the vicinity. Furthermore the two sun terraces invite you to a beautiful stay in the county style garden with a view to pond, orchard, fields and forest.

Historic Farm House in Countryside

This type of house is known as " ein Heuerhaus'. It was built in 1883 and is one of the few remaining such houses in the area. We renovated it in the late1980's and it is recognised as a National Monument. The area we converted into the appartment for our guests, was originally used for storing the hay and straw for the animals winter fodder The house is surrounded by a large garden and uninterrupted view of the countryside.
