In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Kyoto Machiya Rental "Takasegawa Shichijo" is a fully renovated 115-year-old Kyoto Machiya. The Kyoto Machiya, which forms the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been remodeled into a building with high airtightness and thermal insulation performance so that you can spend comfortably in the hot and humid summers and cold winters unique to Kyoto, while retaining the structure of the time. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the "roji" (the garden leading to the tea room) and the image of the tsubo garden. In addition, we have prepared a sofa in the hallway so that you can relax and enjoy the view of the tsubo garden. In the evening, you can spend a relaxing time while looking at the illuminated tsubo garden. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, one with two single beds and one with a double bed. If there are 5 or more guests, we will set up a futon in the Japanese-style room on the first floor for use as a bedroom. Cooking utensils and dishes are provided in the kitchen so that you can cook simple meals.
