It’s a great place to stay when coming to visit, especially if you have a big group since there’s lots of room.

Big family, initially was worried about space and if everyone would be comfortable. the place turned out perfect, made break fast at home easily for the kids and elderly folks with the fresh produce bought nearby! superb experience!

Beautiful home next to Lake Biwa. Its a refreshing break from the city and the neighbors are all very nice. The house was very clean and spacious, the host was always responsive and helpful, even gave me a ride when I left back to the train station so I didn't have to walk with all my luggage. Only downside would be the steep stairs, so if you have balance issues maybe sleep in the room downstairs. Overall very nice place and my 2 weeks went by too quickly here. Will definitely rebook next time I'm in Kyoto/Osaka area.

Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Location gives fantastic access to the city through the Green Line (Karasuma). Easy to access from Kyoto Station shinkansen. Less than ten minute walk to the Aeon Mall. All facilities in working order. The washing machine is very useful in extending the usefulness of your carried clothing.

Pro - Its a very good place. The kitchen cutlery is complete. The scenery is amazing. Clean and wifi is good. Definitely come again! Cons - bathroom only 1. So takes a lot of time. The view is great but the location is far from town. Need to travel 40mins just to reach town. So waste time there.

Lan’s place was perfect for our Kyoto stay. The place was tucked in a peaceful and great location. Easily accessible to supermarket, convenient store and even the public transportation. They are also responsive for letting us to drop our luggage early. We totally recommended staying here.

This listing was an absolute dream come true. It’s very spacious, cozy, well-stocked with towels, linens, etc. Our host so kindly let us check-in a bit early and was so sweet and accommodating. The bathrooms and showers were so clean and had cool features. This was a wonderful stay and we really appreciated how close this listing is to various tourist spots and shopping areas like Fushimi Inari Taisha, LoFt, Nishiki Market, etc. Many places are easily accessible by train or walking. Overall we cannot rave about this Airbnb enough and we thank the host so much for her hospitality! :)

My adult son and I had a wonderful stay here. We very much appreciated the care Mitsuyoshi had taken in preparing everything for us, and it felt very special to walk into such a sweet home. We chose to stay away from the busy downtown area of Osaka which did mean a trade-off of not really having shops nearby, but the metro was incredibly convenient as was access to Kyoto, USJ, Osaka, the Expo, the Shinkansen, and even the domestic airport! There were many lovely places to eat within just a few blocks as well. We didn’t do any cooking, but the kitchen looked well-equipped, clean, and spacious. It was great to do laundry at home; on warm days everything dried quickly on the balcony; there were also laundromats very nearby. If only it had been cooler we would have loved to try out the kotatsu, but we very much enjoyed the Japanese bath; it was almost like a private sento!

Very peaceful and authentic old Japanese house in a satoyama environment. We had a few great days enjoying the village and the hospitality of the host. Exactly what we were looking for and definitely well come back!

独栋小房私密性好，安静，周边设施也很便利，地铁大概距离五六分钟，还有一个24小时便利店。特别是房东人很好很热情！会介绍京都和推荐景点，还帮忙接送~房子住的很舒服，下次要是有来京都还会住这！

友人家族と大人数で利用させていただきました。 質問をいくつかさせてもらいましたがすぐご対応いただき、子供を合わすと定員人数を越える形でしたが事前に相談するとご対応いただけました。 お部屋もとても綺麗で、素敵な空間で休日を過ごすことができました。 食器や、調理器具なども充実しており、持ち物が少なくすんで助かりました。 山や畑が近いので虫がとても多いですが、虫除けなども置かれて配慮はされています。ただ、やはり自然の中なので、たくさんの虫さんと対面はしました…虫が苦手な方は殺虫スプレーや虫除けを自分でもご持参された方が良いかと思います。 あとは、宿に入る前の道が細く、しっかりしたカーブがあるため運転が苦手な方は苦戦されるかと思います。 ただその点を含めても、とても素敵なお宿、ホスト様でしたので、検討されている方は一度泊まられてみていただきたいと思います。

By far the best stay during our trip to Japan. The accommodation was fun, well stoked, and well kept. We tried to spend as much time as possible in this stay, spinning the vinyl and relaxing. Only regret was we didn’t have more time. Highly recommend to all.

Haruka's apartment is situated very near Saiin-Station (5min walk) and its restaurants in a quite street. There is a supermarket 4min walk in the other direction. It is big with 2 bedrooms, a great bathroom, a washing-machine and everything you can need to cook in the tiny kitchen as well as spices, oil, tea, coffee... There are also brochures about Kyoto's attractions and a very interesting book about Japan's history. The best part of our stay at Haruka's House was to meet the owners (they live upstairs), who welcomed us as we arrived with many informations, japanese tea, fruits an sweats. As we left, the had looked for the train-connexions to our next destination and gave us nice advices as well as crackers for the trip. It was so nice, we felt at home from the first minute and we enjoyed so much their company. We even had the chance to borrow their bicycles to tour around Kyoto. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We definitely hope to come back!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious house, perfect for our group of 5 adults and 1 baby. My husband and I chose the tatami-style room to sleep with our baby, and it was a cozy and special experience. The house is located near the lakeside and close to the train tracks, a bit of a distance from town, but that wasn’t an issue for us as we had rented a car. We also made good use of the kitchen and even enjoyed a late-night supper together. Everything was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience, and we truly enjoyed our stay here!

Die Unterkunft war extrem sauber – wirklich makellos, was für uns sehr wichtig war. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der schnelle und freundliche Kontakt: Wenn wir Fragen hatten, wurde sofort geantwortet und mit echter Hilfsbereitschaft unterstützt. Die Gastgeber waren außergewöhnlich aufmerksam – sie haben uns sogar einen Regenschirm angeboten, als es plötzlich zu regnen begann. Solche Gesten machen den Unterschied! Und haben uns sogar Kyoto Süßigkeiten dagelassen. Insgesamt ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt. Ich kann diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

K/H did an amazing job as a host and making me feel welcome during my stay in Kyoto. Their clear directions made the stay seamless. Noise around the bnb was not as bad as expected ( rail line by the apartment), and it didn’t impact my sleep at all! Thanks again!

I can’t say enough great things about Uzu’s place. It was so clean and comfortable. When we checked in she was very thorough about the house and also about the surrounding areas and places to go. She had a great hand drawn map of the area that we actually used a lot! The traditional beds we chose to sleep in were very comfortable. Everything in the house is labeled which makes it very easy to find things. Uzu went out of her way to show us local restaurants and spots to try. She is a very friendly host that cares about making her guests stays very enjoyable! One thing we found was that it was a bit out of the way of central Kyoto. However, if you want to experience a quiet traditional neighborhood this is the spot! It’s about a 10 min walk to the closest train station or bus stop. Really great place for exploring Kyoto and relaxing afterwards! The host is absolutely fantastic, always ready to assist with whatever issues you might have. The space itself is quite modern as well, with a few details that are quite uncommon but make the place that much better for it. Safe to say it is one of my favourites so far.
