This place is right on the beach. Also close to the elevator and beach/pool entrance. Excellent view from the balcony. Jim was proactive on making sure we had no trouble. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay and see Destin. Right on the beach with a great view and the Restaurants are all very close. The Host is very easy to get along with and will immediately respond if you message him with any issues. 5/5

This condo was phenomenal! Our entire family of 11 fit comfortably and enjoyed the entire home. It was well stocked, beautifully decorated and very spacious. The views were breathtaking - we spent every night watching the sunset and reading books! The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. We hope to make this a yearly family trip!

The condo was very clean, very close to the indoor and outdoor pools. Jennifer responded to all of my questions quickly and notified me as soon as we could get into the condo and on the first night she made sure everything was up to our standards on arrival.

Went for a girls trip!!! Excellent condo, we be going back to stay!! Lynn was very sweet and fast at responding!! Short walk to the beach!! We all loved it and had a great time!!!🩷

We've stayed in quite a few places along Okaloosa Island in the past. This one is by far the best. Check in was super easy a d Frank was available with answers. Highly recommend. Will book again.

We went for our anniversary and this cozy villa was the perfect amount of space and in the perfect location. The view isn’t the gulf .. but you can see it. You can also see the bay and watch the cars go by. We still really enjoyed it and was in a great location (minus the morning sun that kicked our butt for breakfast on the balcony LOL). It’s now saved to our favorites!!

The host's communication was amazing! Timely feedback and some great local recommendations. The property was perfect for a couple and the amenities are simply amazing. The pool and hot tub were a great addition and the only issue I have was I wish I could stay longer. The bed is comfy and the small kitchen was perfect for the space. Keep in mind the bathroom is small but completely manageable if you communicate with your travel partner. Easy to find and easy to access. Persons with mobility issues may have some difficulties navigating the stone pavers and the multi-level backyard. The kitchen also has two steps down from the main level of the studio. Bottom line…we loved it and think you will too! Time to stop reading and book before you miss your chance. I will 100% book again when I am in the area.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Cottage, everything that is posted is accurate to include images. We have been coming to Pensacola Florida for years and usually stayed at the hotels so this was the first experience we had using Airbnb and due to Ella’s hospitality we will continue to use Airbnb when we travel. Ella was very responsive when I had questions. As new empty nesters our 2 dogs are like our children and it was amazing to bring them with us to share this experience. This couldn’t have happened without the opportunity Ella provided us to bring our pets. All in all this was an amazing experience, I would highly recommend the Mermaid Cottage and Ella if you are looking for the opportunity to enjoy Pensacola Beach.

I was on a girls trip visiting Fort Walton/Destin which lasted about 5 days and we stayed here, it was a wonderful spot! We loved how we were in walking distance to the beach! The pool was very nice and a relaxing place to wind down at the end of our event packed days! This home was very comfortable and it provided everything we needed including beach supplies! Bill and Lisa are amazing hosts, they were very responsive! I recall a day where my group and I were wondering how we were going to get all of our things down to the beach without a struggle, I contacted the hosts to ask if they had a wagon and then less than 10 minutes later, it was by the front door for us to use! That really made our day and we appreciate how kind and helpful they were to us! This was my first visit to this part of Florida and I recommend this home to anyone! I can’t wait to come back one day!

This home was absolutely beautiful! We have 8 kids and it was perfect for them. They honestly never had a moment of being “bored” while we were in the home! It was so cozy and felt like a home to us for the week! It’s in a perfect location! Matt and Sarah were amazing hosts, very responsive, helpful with recommendations and very friendly! This was our second year booking with them!

We had a great stay! The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a family beach trip with our dogs. It was the perfect spot to relax, clean up after long beach days, and get some rest. Having Roku TVs in each room was a nice touch, and the provided dog beds were much appreciated by our pups. The pools on the property were a bonus, too. Would definitely recommend for families traveling with pets!

This place is great! Quick drive to the beach and very close to local restaurants and night life. The place was clean, nicely updated, and our dog absolutely loved the back yard. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. If you bring a dog, I highly recommend the Bayview Dog Beach, which is a 5 min drive away & a great little park to explore. We’ll definitely be back!

I’d definitely be back. Every Easter I go to Destin to the beach and the weather is always amazing. The hot tub, and pool are definitely worth it.

Jerry was an amazing host. the condo was clean. He gave his recommendations. we also had are 2 dogs with us and we never had a problem taking them outside. overall the stay was great and we didn't have to struggle to have privacy and didn't feel uncomfortable

We had a wonderful time! The condo was clean, same as the pictures! Loved that you could walk right out to the beach and even better that they had chairs and an umbrella. A great way to do a beach vacation. Also really liked the complex; it was quiet, ample parking and easy to get to many restaurants. Jan was a really great host and had great attention to detail. We would definitely consider a return visit!

Sunny Happy Place was just as it was described and surpassed expectations. The view of the ocean and the walk was much closer than it appeared. The space was equipped with all the kitchen/bathroom/bedroom necessities you would need. The perfect getaway with a peaceful property and a beach that was not overly crowded. My partner and I will be back, and are already planning our next trip with friends. We will be recommending this stay to anyone questioning where to go next for a relaxing vacation.

I’ve been traveling to Destin for as long as I can remember. This was one of the nicest units with the closest walk to the beach. The master bedroom was amazing.

Fantastic BNB. If I am ever in Destin again I will stay here again for sure. The couch and beds were so comfortable I took a photo of the tags. Now I’m going furniture shopping 😂

Location and views were great. The resort it self looked really nice with the amenities but spent most of my time at the beach. The beach in front of the resort was not packed even for Memorial Day weekend and was able to get front row every day. Place was clean and had everything we needed. We were able to access the beach and be around the resort before check in. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay here. I grew up going to Portofino with my family, and wanted to take my own children. Check in is super easy, the room was clean with a beautiful view. Easy access to the pool and beach. I would definitely recommend!

We really liked the condo. There were issues with the e-lock so we ended up using keys for the stay. Donna & Karlotta (co-host) were quick to reply to any questions/concerns we had. The only thing I would recommend is bringing your own pillows if you prefer softer pillows. They were too firm for us but may be perfect for someone else. Overall, it was a nice, relaxing stay and we would definitely book again!

Great location, super accessible to the beach and other restaurants nearby. Will definitely be staying here again!
