Red Dog Retreat is settled back from the road amongst the trees. 2.75 mi directly up the hill from downtown Broad St. A 7min easy drive to Historic Downtown Nevada City & 15mins to the Yuba River. Walking and biking trails are steps away from our property and we are a short drive to Scott's Flat Reservoir. Bring your boats, bikes & kayaks! Located in a gated neighborhood between two quaint gold rush towns with shopping, wine tasting, hiking trails and sight seeing. Ski areas easily accessible for day trips. Rest or dine on the deck with a glass of local wine and watch the friendly deer wander past sometimes stopping to say hello.

Cancellations due to fire or Smokey air -allowed. Fragrance free cleaning products Wood floors, washer/dryer stocked kitchen Central heat. Air conditioning. High end mattresses. The house is off of a main road close to downtown Nevada City but in the tallest trees. There is some car noise during rush hour but none of that can be heard from inside of this very well insulated house. No loud parties. We do host dogs and occasionally cats.
