Bungalow holiday rentals in New England

We had an amazing time at the beach house. Just as pictured and described. Great location and easy to access the rest of the Cape. Highly recommended for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Was a beautiful place and lives up to our expectations, house is well maintained, clean, and any question I had they answered right away which was nice. There are lots of things to do around that area. Us having a 1 year old we unfortunately didn’t enjoy the nightlife or restaurants, but there are many options. At the end of the day we were very happy, and there were no surprises or feelings of not getting our money worth. Would recommend especially if you have small children because it’s very peaceful, neighbors were all very nice as well. Over all a good place to rent.

Johanna was a great host. Before I got there, she answered e mail questions quickly. She was very kind and understanding. Actually met her on site and she was very friendly and helpful. The little bungalow (Sintra) was just the right size for my dog and me. It was artfully decorated with even one of Johanna's personal artwork on the wall. The only thing that might have been helpful would have been a small dehumidifier as the humidity was high in the unit. Bathroom towels did not dry and most everything felt damp. However, the day I arrived was the hottest it had been so far thiis year.

Rosemary’s place was fantastic! The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The amenities provided were great. It was so nice to have everything we needed for the beach, a grill and an outdoor shower. You cannot beat the location! The beach is wonderful. The area is quiet but close to the shops and restaurants in town. Rosemary was also great to communicate with! We had a great time and would stay again!

Great location, and private tucked away vibe!

We absolutely loved this little bungalow and can’t wait to come back! It is so close to the beach and there are a couple restaurants and bars within walking distance. A ton of other restaurants and bars less than a 10 minute drive away. And Trish is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! We chose this Airbnb specifically because it was dog friendly and really wanted to give our oldest girl (13) at least one more beach vacation. Trish was super accommodating with the dogs and the beach was calm and perfect for them.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Surf Bungalow. The house was exactly as pictured and very clean. The views of the marsh and ocean beyond are terrific. The location is great, so close to everything. Shaws market is just around the corner. For a great pizza or sub be sure to visit Surfside subs which is about 3 minutes up the road. We also like Midori Chinese/Japanese restaurant ( thanks to the owner for the recommendation) We had a delicious lunch with the best fried whole clams at the Lobster of Gloucester, a restaurant that should not be missed if your staying in Gloucester. Both restaurants are just 5 or 10 minutes from the house. Another fun trip is the road out the Eastern Point Lighthouse and a walk on the jetty. Just ignore the private road signs that try to scare you off, the road is public and open to everyone all the way to the lighthouse.

Spectacular water view! Nice outdoor space right on the lake. Cottage was pristine and had great amenities. Particularly appreciated the "hotel" touches like terry robes and a lavish welcome basket with wine and treats. Communication with the owner was prompt and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic stay...a great property and Claudine was an absolute pleasure to work with. Superb communication and a very thoughtful host. We had everything we needed for our stay and more! We will definitely be back!

The cottage is cute & enough for my stay. I have a troubled spine but had no problems sleeping. The view is just gorgeous. We really enjoyed the kayaks & there were so many life jackets to use. The fire pit was nice on a cool night. Everything you might need or even thought of was supplied. I really would like to return.

I reserved this property for my parents who were visiting Memorial Day weekend. They loved it , everything is clean and no problems. Great hosts ! Great view ! My parents would strongly recommend.

The place was great, easy check in, very clean and cozy. Perfect location, everything you need in a short drive (5-7 min) and 40 min drive to Montreal downtown. The view from the inside is amazing, looking out to the lake and since it has a lot of windows it has a panoramic view. Gorgeous! The hot tub was very easy to use and in perfect condition. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was excellent. Washing and drying machines were very handy. Loved the fire place, made the place look more cottage style. The only thing I would suggest is to have an air fryer, it would be very handy for when we have to cook things but not enough quantity to turn on the whole oven.

Nous avons utilisé la maison du bonheur comme notre lieux de rassemblement pour notre weekend FI. À 30 min à peine du métro de Longueuil, loin du bruit et du trafic, c'était parfait pour décompresser. Les commodités de la maison, le confort, les grandes chambres, la piscine, le spa...Bref tout était là pour nous permettre de relaxer et de repartir le lendemain. Nos hôtes Annie et Martin ont pris soin de nous comme si nous étions de la famille. Bref, un très beau séjour. Merci Annie et Martin

We put together a last minute weekend away and Bonnie’s place was perfect. The location was quiet, private and walkable to the beach and a lovely park with other activities. It was a bit early in the season for the beach, but this location was ideal for all we had planned both on the Cape and north to Plymouth. Bonnie provided easy to follow instructions to find her bungalow and the description and photos were very accurate. The accommodations were just what the two of us needed for our extended weekend and would definitely look into visiting again when we could take advantage of everything offered in the area (especially the beach 😃). We could not be happier with our stay and appreciated the hospitality.

A great place to stay on your Portland/OOB vacay! It was perfect for the 5 of us on our annual girls trip. The house was in a great location- close enough to walk around Old Orchard Beach and nice and central for exploring neighboring towns. We appreciated the abundance of towels available, private parking, spotless cleanliness and thoughtful touches like sound machines, family-friendly amenities and a good amount of toilet paper for the weekend. Jen was so quick and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend!
