Guesthouse holiday rentals in New River Valley

Jean's cottage was perfect for our sons' VT graduations weekend. It was exciting to drive down the mountainside and arrive at the cottage which was immaculate and has a truly stunning view from the deck. We were surrounded by bird sounds, deer in the vineyard, and an ever changing light and skyline. Very private, and yet, it was a quick drive to downtown Blacksburg and all the crowded venues we attended before returning to this sanctuary! We enjoyed our stay here immensely and hope to return soon! Thank you.

Joe and Debra are both so kind! We've stayed with them twice- once for a long (3 month) stay and once for a weekend, and both were great! They are very considerate and offered to help us several times because of the snow this weekend. I'd always highly recommend a stay at Tiki Joe's because it's comfortable, unique, and nearby some really cool little spots off the beaten track!

This Airbnb is in an absolutely stunning location. We stayed here for my daughter‘s graduation from Virginia Tech and it’s a 30 minute drive from campus. It is down some windy mountain roads, but the views are spectacular. The apartment is exactly as described; everything was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this apartment.The host was super responsive and if we are ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was nice and clean, close the river. We didn’t know there wasn’t a TV. We should have noticed it I guess. It wasn’t a problem for us. It was a new ce place to stay, and dog friendly.

Perfect place to stay for our hiking trip. The location was not far from some great food and breweries as well. And near many parks. The snacks in the room were very helpful after a long day hiking. Internet worked great and was able to watch tv. AC cooled perfectly.

Pat’s place was absolutely wonderful. The area was beautiful and the house was spotless. I loved that Pat supplied a folder filled with information about the house, and surrounding area.

The house was immediately welcoming upon entry with plenty of space for a large family gathering (though we arrived as only three of us). The massive table and kitchen was well laid out. The upstairs was a fun set up with its five or six different beds. We all got to choose the one that fit our personalities the best (and there were plenty of options to choose from). This morning before checking out we saw some baby deer frolicking and chasing each other around outside in the trees while we drank our coffee. If we have the opportunity we will absolutely rent this place again for another family trip. Thank you Amanda for the perfect little experience in the middle of our road trip!

The unit was very clean and the reservation and check in process were simple. The location was very scenic and private yet close and convenient to everything in the area. We will certainly be back.

My friends and I had a great stay at Helene’s place while we were in town for the Metallica concert. She had a lot of amenities for us and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. I would recommend to anyone for a stay in Blacksburg.

Fantastic stay, quiet and peaceful. Our hosts provided lots of activities to entertain, even some tasty treats to eat! The guest house was well appointed and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend!

Susan’s place is filled with unique furniture that creates a really eclectic atmosphere. Located on a beautiful piece of farmland in the mountains and perfect for a group of friends or family, this is a great place to stay when you’re exploring the Christiansburg, Blacksburg area!

The house was amazing. Anyone who appreciates good design and execution in modern architecture would love this house. I will definitely stay here again when I have more time to appreciate the location.

A lovely place with a beautiful view! We enjoyed the back patio and had a small family gathering to celebrate our nephews graduation! Rebecca and Marcus are really cool and their dog is adorable ❤️ It was as the perfect location and stay!

What a gorgeous, secluded, peaceful little getaway. I felt at home surrounded by the mountains on all sides. The hosts were very responsive and proactive. Wonderful spot for a pup and me getaway!

We really loved our weekend here! It was the perfect space for us and our dogs. The shared kitchen is beautiful, and the carriage house is tucked away so we never heard anyone else on the property. The property is absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed within a reasonable drive to our trialing location.

This was our second stay at Lynn's place to visit our VT student within the year. We came back because the space is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and allows us space away from the hustle and bustle of Blacksburg and Christiansburg, while still being close enough! Bonus, if you've forgotten ANYTHING (because it is a bit off the beaten path), Lynn has thought of it and has you covered! Lynn is incredibly responsive and truly wants to make sure her guests have the best visit. We will keep coming back :)

We had a great trip! Walley’s place was off of the beaten path and her and her family were so welcoming and hospitable. The property is rustic and is not for those who are city lovers but it was perfect for us.

Great place to stay for privacy and to have a place all to yourself! We had an issue with the wifi but Samuel was extremely responsive and fixed the issue very quickly. Kitchen was well equipped and the place was clean and cute.

This space was wonderful and exactly as described. Host provides many little extra things and they take pride in what they offer. Host always responded quickly to messages. The space was clean and cared for. Could not have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend this space/host to anyone looking for a small, peaceful space.

This is my very favorite Airbnb! I felt right at home from beginning to end. The hosts are so great! I met Douglas, but sadly, did not get to meet Patty. Their home and grounds are gorgeous! The apartment is very spacious, with everything you could possibly want or need. It is obvious the hosts put much thought into their place. The home is well lit at night, as well as the sidewalk to the apartment. Everything was so clean, with quality linens and towels. The shower was so relaxing, with a rain shower head and customized tile, that the host installed. Tons of space on their property to walk, and they even have walking sticks to use. They left snacks, wine, and even Halloween cupcakes for me to enjoy. You will love this home, and they even have hammocks for lounging. I felt very pampered throughout my stay. There is a pool, but was too late in the season to use. This is a very special place, and I can’t wait to return for another respite!

Great place to stay. Clean and spacious. The house had everything you could need for a short stay- which was a great bonus. Clear directions from renters. The outdoor space was also nice- the fence was mostly secure but your pup may be able to wiggle under the gate if determined. The immediate area was residential, with a few restaurants, grocery stores and pharmacies within a mile or so. The neighborhood had some sidewalks on side streets and more car traffic than expected.

I really enjoyed Tom's place. It was extremely cozy and quiet and a short, pleasant walk to downtown Floyd. Highly recommended.
