Cosy 2 bedroom cottage metres from Hadrian's Wall

AdrianRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay could not have been better. Although ephemeral to our visit the only thing that could have made our stay easier would have been the presence of a dishwasher. Of course this does not in any way detract from a property which has been set up perfectly by Victoria, for the enjoyment of her visitors. The sort of place you would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone interested in visiting this fascinating area on the Cumbrian/Northumberland border.

Hovel House Shed

We absolutely loved our stay in the shed. The sound of the rain on the roof is just heavenly for sleep and then there are the sunsets and sunrises over the fields while watching the cows, just brilliant. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again. 5*

The Granary. Sleeps 13 - 15. Stunning rural views.

Julie was a great host. The cottage was lovely and stocked with lots of essentials which really helped. We ate at the onsite restaurant on one evening and it was delicious - highly recommend. The kids in our group loved playing in the stream and on the rope swings. It was a great place to enjoy some relaxed family time.

Forest View - peace and tranquillity

ChrisRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Thank you Pippa and Bradley for making our 2025 New Year magical. The cottage is lovely and met our needs perfectly. However the best thing about this cottage is the location. We absolutely loved the solitude and peacefulness, hopefully not too disturbed by us. Would highly recommend this cottage if peace and quiet is what you are after. We should also add that despite staying over New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Pippa and Bradley were awesome hosts who made us feel really welcome and properly looked after. Thank you again for making our stay so wonderful.

Value for money central location 1 bedroom flat

So glad I picked this place, so many facilities for an international traveler to take a nice rest before getting to Edinburgh. The town itself has a very interesting textile history and I picked up some beautiful fabrics there.

Renovated railway carriage

Gorgeous place to stay, we had such a lovely week with our little one and the dog who loved running round the enclosed area around the railway carriage and looking out at the stunning views. Very sad to have to leave!

Riverside Cottage in Dumfries and Galloway

MartinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A lovely place to stay in a quiet, beautiful area. The house has everything you need and is very comfortable, but the best part for us was the garden (and fortunately we had the weather to use it). Sitting in the sunshine, using the barbecue and covered seating, birdwatching (Kingfishers and Dippers on the river, all manner of garden birds) and even swimming in the river. Recommended

It was a beautiful place to stay, the silo is though fully renovated and the hot tub is sublime. the setting was beautiful and the local area is too, grear locality to Hadrians wall and other historical sites. and there were vouchers left to a local restaurant Hidden River Cafe, which was superb. Thanks to Linda who was extremely helpful and friendly as well
