It is said to be the closest house to the sea in Edinburgh and the 12 meter balcony that overhangs the sea allows 180 degree uninterrupted views of the Forth and over to Fife. If we could rate Debbie’s place higher than a 5 we would😁. It was so clean and comfortable. We had 4 adults (2 couples) in our group. The beds are comfortable and it was wonderful to have 2 bathrooms. The kitchen has great cooking equipment and the extra little touches of cookies and availability of spices was very much appreciated. Thank you so much to Debbie and her sister 🥰

We had a fantastic stay in this cosy cottage - a few minutes walk to the beach and close to the bus into central Edinburgh. Discovering Portobello was an unexpected surprise and we enjoyed Eleanor’s food and drink recommendations (especially tanafiki coffee)!! The house had everything we needed and felt very homely. Couldn’t recommend more!

If you’re wanting a peaceful and cosy place that’s close to Edinburgh, Shannon’s place is perfect! I had such a pleasant stay, everything was spotless and I had everything I needed. There are also plenty of shops nearby if you do need anything for your stay. The hosts were super responsive and were there if I ever needed anything. The location is great with a local bus that runs into Edinburgh rather than paying for parking. I’d definitely recommend!
