Hillside Lodge

Hillside Lodge is nestled in the village of Rostrevor, with restaurants, pubs, Kilbroney Park & the beach all within a 1 minute stroll from the front door. The lodge is a warm enticing space with a wood burning stove & spiral staircase to the bedrooms. A large garden lies to the front of the lodge great for children to play football or basketball. The lodge is a renovated old coach house, the main house that it belonged to is available for larger parties, it sleeps 10 (Hillside Holiday Home)

Stone Wall Cottage

200 year old cottage nestled in a white-washed courtyard, lovingly restored and brought to life. All the modern comforts integrated between stone walls and rustic beams in a beautiful rural setting. Located half a mile from Tollymore Forest and by car we are 5 mins from Mourne Mountains, 5 mins from Newcastle and 5 mins from Castlewellan. The cottage is in the midst of our working horse farm, horses, chickens, dogs and donkeys are all part of the family. Dogs and horses are welcome guests.

Other attractions close by are Murlough Beach, Castlewellan forest Park & many walking, hiking & cycling trails.

The perfect country retreat at the foot of Slieve Gullion - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Conservation. Overlooking green fields of cows and sheep. It is ideal for hiking, cycling, golfing or exploring the local towns of Newry and Dundalk. We are less than 10 minutes to Killeavy Castle Hotel and Slieve Gullion Forest Park and 30 minutes to the coastal resorts of Carlingford and Warrenpoint. We are very accessible to Dublin and Belfast both being within one hours drive away.

Meelmore lodge coffee shop is a 10 minute walk Newcastle is 10 minute drive Belfast is a 1hr drive, or 1hr bus journey from Newcastle You really are in the heart of the mountains here!

While still convenient to Dundalk, Blackrock, Carlingford and Carrickmacross. Only an hour drive will take you to both Dublin and Belfast City (M1 Motorway Junction 16) We have lovingly restored and renovated this cottage over the years to provide a cosy and welcoming home.
