You'll love our Lydi-Hütt' because of the location, because of the little something extra, and the surroundings of our beautiful Vogelsberg. My place is good for couples, solo travelers, families (with kids), and dogs. The renovated half-timbered house is located in the hamlet of Schmitten. A hamlet is a very small residential development with approx. 10 houses. Pure idyll.

We rent our entire half-timbered house with 4 bedrooms (3 bedrooms with 1 bed 140 × 200 and 1 sofa bed each, which can be folded out on the floor to a lying surface of 120 × 200 + 1 bedroom with 3 single beds 90 × 200, 1 of which is a loft bed), a dining-kitchen-living area and a bathroom with shower, bathtub and toilet. The house is in the middle of the old town of Alsfeld and yet quiet. Everything is within walking distance. Children are welcome. Dogs are welcome.

The house is over 500 years old, was completely newly renovated in 1994 sustainably and with style-appropriate materials yet also modern. It is a closed courtyard surrounded by old stone walls and lots of plants, great for children and animals. In our Klosterblick apartment, you not only have a unique view of the former Benedictine abbey, the monastery garden and our beautiful Einhardbasilika, you are also only a three-minute walk from our market square and Freihofplatz. In 2018, we lovingly renovated and modernized the guest house, an old half-timbered house on our farm. In the countryside and only 30 km from Frankfurt, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy nature.
