Beautiful idyllic vacation home on 3000 sqm of land Lots of hiking and biking trails offer all kinds of possibilities. In addition, there are a number of downhill ski slopes and cross-country ski trails available in winter. By car, the popular excursion destinations Wasserkuppe and Milseburg can be reached in approx. 10 minutes. At 950 m, the Wasserkuppe is the highest mountain in Hesse and offers a wide range of leisure activities for the whole family (skiing, sailing and paragliding, summer toboggan run, climbing forest, etc.).

Modernized apartment (70 m²) in one of the most beautiful areas of the Rhön. If you are looking for peace and original nature, this is the place to be. From the windows to the courtyard, the border mountains to Lower Franconia can be seen, e.g. Dammersfeld, Beilstein and Eierhauck. From here, many well-known excursion destinations can be quickly reached. For example, Wasserkuppe, Kreuzberg, Fulda, Bad Neustadt or Würzburg, as well as hiking and bike trails. Horseback riding is possible in the neighboring village.

Relax in this peaceful place! The cottage, a former hunting lodge of the neighboring forestry, is located on the edge of the forest in “Neustädtles”, a village of 130 souls that, apart from a village street, two churches and a castle, has nothing but peace and quiet to offer. In the Rhön Star Park, away from major roads, where fox and hare, where blueberries and mushrooms, where bats and owls say goodnight, the magical forest area invites you to go forest bathing, hiking, meditating and cycling.

Ostheim is located at the foot of the volcanic low mountain range and biosphere reserve Rhön, in the 3-country corner of Bavaria, Hesse, Thuringia with wonderful hiking and excursion opportunities. The Rhön Star Park attracts visitors with guided tours of the spectacular starry sky.

In summer, you can enjoy the large garden with hammocks, sun loungers, and a grill as well as a wonderful lounge area.

Beautiful attic apartment, brightly furnished, large panoramic windows, soapstone stove for cold days, space for 4 people, two bedrooms, two bathrooms (a small one without shower, a larger one, see pictures) fully equipped. The shopping market is only 50 meters away, quietly located. Direct connection to cycling and hiking trails. The swimming pool is 250 meters away. Parking right outside the door.

Rhöner half-timbered house with special charm

The old half-timbered house is located in the middle of a small village in the Bavarian Rhön Biosphere Reserve. It will be occupied by you alone during your stay. It can accommodate 4 adults if 2 bedrooms are sufficient. However, there is still a single mattress in the living room. 1-2 dogs are allowed. Bicycles or motorcycles can be stored in the barn.

Vacation home with sauna

We moved from the city to an old farm in 2016 and live here together with our dog Dago and three cats in the middle of Schwarzenfels, a municipality of the city of Sinntal, below the beautiful Schwarzenfels Castle. We are gradually renovating the farm. In 2020, our "vacation home" project was completed and we are looking forward to our guests.
