Holiday rentals with beach access in North Ayrshire Council

Lovely peaceful location. Amazing views and we watched the ships on the Clyde in the evenings. We swam right outside the flat in the bay and the water was clear. Lovely walk from the cottage to the lighthouse that would be great for a dog walk.

I am glad I made it up Castle Hill for the stunning views. A return visit to Great Cumbrae was as good as last year. The views across to Arran are so memorable.

The place was perfectly located for our needs. It has plenty of amenities and good restaurants close by. You can be on the sea front in 2 minutes. The flat in itself is very neat and comfy. The host is lovely and avenant.

Great location, short walk to waterfront, restaurants and pubs. Flat was comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Responsive to messages sent. Would recommend. Millport is presently having promenade upgraded and landscaped. Together with palm trees, could be mistaken for an holiday destination abroad!

This was our third time staying at Neil’s place as it’s a perfect place to stay. Gorgeous apartment in a great area for the beach and close to town for restaurants,etc.

We were impressed by the photos on the website but the cottage was even more impressive than the pictures suggested. A spotlessly clean cottage, warm and welcoming, with lots of spaces to relax from the comfortable bedroom, spacious lounge, dining kitchen, cosy nook, and porch area at the back of the property. The garden was magical too, and I found myself drawn to wander around it, seeing something new each time. We were VERY lucky with the weather & the lower patio area was a fabulous suntrap! We have a friend who lives on Bute and when we come back we will definitely look to book Hawthorn Cottage. Thank you Rosemary, we had a wonderful stay.

Andrew's place is superb. He met us with a warm welcome and then we were shown our room which has the most incredible view out across the garden and the sea to the Holy Isle. Everything you need is provided for --extremely comfortable bed, very well supplied kitchen and a sparkling bathroom. For me one of the priorities in choosing an air b n b is that it should be accessible for me as a disabled person. Andrew's place fits the bill as i was able to easily access the 2 steps at the front of the bungalow on my sticks and then, again easily, transfer to using wheels around the property. Thanks again Andrew!

Very responsive host, flexible with check-in for us as we needed to store bags from early morning, and the house itself was lovely

Had a great trip with 3 golfing friends . Location ideal for golfing and socialising. Would happily book again. Only adverse point was that bedside cabinets had not been cleaned/checked for items left by previous occupants. I raised that with Duncan who undertook to take remedial steps as a matter of routine.

Jason and Mairi were incredibly helpful and kind throughout our stay always ready to assist and make sure everything was perfect. The house itself was so welcoming and cozy, the view from the living room is amazing. Thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials we could possibly need. The surrounding area is stunning, with beautiful walks right on the doorstep. Highly recommends them.

Great well equipped house, amazing views, walking distance to the pub, loads of hot water, comfy beds and sofas, everything worked. Dog friendly. No off road parking but there was always plenty of space on the road in front of the house

This was our second stay at Grants home. A lovely house in an ideal location. We were blessed with great weather and with the beach in such easy reach we swam every day. We would not hesitate to recommend this house as the ideal location for a stay on Arran.

Ardrossan is not a normal to go to place and the town is a bit run down, we were there to visit relatives in the next town, but there is plenty to see near by. The flat is in a residential area and its neighbours live there permanently. They were very welcoming. We had justed arrived and the lady opposite invited my wife and I to joint her in the garden. The garden is a great suntrap from early afternoon to sunset. To be fair every local we spoke to were very friendly to us southerners. The flat was spotless and felt like a home from home. There is everything you need in the flat and it is highly recommended. The only downside for me personally was getting in and out of the bath to have a shower ( the shower was great ) as I have arthritis in my back and ankles but I managed and it wouldn't stop me booking the flat again next time we visit our relatives.

Alison was the perfect host. The information prior to arrival was detailed and sent in plenty time. Alison was empathetic to our reasons for staying in the house and went out her way to make a stressful situation that little bit easier for us.....it was like having a family member checking in on us.....Thank-you Alison! I would thoroughly recommend staying here, the house is beautiful and sits right at the beach which is ideal for families (Alison has a cupboard full of goodies to entertain the kids both inside and out down at the beach). We stayed for a month and worked remotely during the first two weeks. Margaret's place is ideally located, as described, clean, and quiet near the front. The heating was set on summer mode and turned off after 10 a.m., but when we asked the host to switch it back to winter settings, she responded quickly and resolved it. Overall, a very good long stay — we’d recommend it!
