Holiday rentals with lake access in North Norfolk District

Daisy's is located brilliantly, easy to find, walking distance to amenities and Snettisham is a beautiful village. Both the cottage and the village had everything you needed. The cottage was clean, the beds were great, the shower was great and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The welcome goodies were a lovely touch as well. Fallon was hands off, but responded to queries quickly. We were allowed a late check out, which made our weekend even more special. Thank you

We only stayed for two days but we will definitely be back. The accommodation was immaculately clean and had beautiful views down the river. Dave and Sue were great hosts. They were generally really helpful and also on hand to welcome us in. Dave set up a boat with a motor so we could take a little trip down the river. The 1pm check-in was a real bonus. Loved our stay!

I didn’t stay there myself, I booked the place for my co-workers coming over from London , but they said the place was very nice!

We had a wonderful time at the Reading Room. The fully enclosed garden was brilliant for our dog! Her tail did not stop wagging! It was a bit like having your very own freedom field for use whenever you wanted. It was a very hot week so unfortunately we didn’t get as much use out of it as we would have hoped. The Reading Room had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. Cressida had thought ahead and put a fan in for us given the weather we were very grateful. The location of the property was nice with plenty of walks down the River Ouse and walking distance into Wiggenhall St Germans. Unfortunately we didn’t get to do many of the walks because of the heat but would love to come back sometime and try them out. Would highly recommend this property to people that like to holiday with their dogs. Cressida was a brilliant host and very quick to respond to messages.

Beautifully Farmhouse with everything you need. Quality furnishings, linen etc. Extremely well equiped kitchen. There was even a playroom with toys which wasn't mentioned. Very safe enclosed garden for a two and five year old to play in. It might be worth mentioning that there were 5 beautiful large shower rooms but no actual bath. Didn't bother us, but maybe worth taking a small baby bath if you have a non standing infant. We had a fabulous stay. Great for an exstended family as there was plenty of space to share or be alone. Ruth’s home is a welcoming place to stay. It’s very comfortable and characterful, the bed is comfy and there’s lots of hot water. Ruth is a generous host and communication was good throughout. For those working there, the wifi is strong but the dedicated work space is just the dining room. Fine if working alone but possibly not if others are in the house. There is an attractive walk from the house and a sweet garden to sit in. Thanks Ruth.

Thank you to Louis and Roy for creating Moat Island. We felt really lucky to stay. Magical place as if someone’s Imagination dreamt it up. When new guests arrived you could hear them making the amazed sounds we did. Excellent and social open kitchen, loved that. The tents are top quality, sturdy, warm, large and homely, dry as a bone. Bed so comfy. Private own patch of space. Around our tent was our own family fire pit and a table to eat at, a compost loo if we didn’t feel like heading to the very well made modern bathrooms on site. Kids liked the hammock and swing bench. The natural pool was incredible, could of sat on the deck all day looking at the scene, lovely to swim in. Peaceful, driveable to everything - we went to the Broads, Fritton Owl Sanctuary, the North Coast, Holt, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and into Norwich. Could just stay on the campsite all day though, plenty to do. I didn’t want to leave, will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sycamore Farm in one of the beautifully equipped apartments on the site (Ash). The apartment is large and very stylishly furnished. Not much to do on site but it's impeccably clean and handily placed for all the surrounding tourist spots and some noce walks/rides. Local pubs, Coop and chippy 5 minutes away in Burgh Le Marsh. Thoroughly recommended for a UK staycation. Thank you 😊

I took my two kids to stay at Moat Island for a couple of nights during Half Term whilst we visited relatives nearby. It was the perfect mid-point location, but also felt like a special and memorable site. The bell tents are cosy and warm, and the composting toilet next to ours was the nicest I’ve ever used. I found myself going to it repeatedly when I only needed to walk about 20m more to get to the plumbed indoor ones! We enjoyed having a communal kitchen area, as it allowed us to chat to a few our ‘neighbours’. The outdoor pond/pool was utterly freezing, but worth a dip. And thankfully the nearby showers were gloriously warm.

This apartment is the best rental we have ever stayed in It’s beautiful the photos dont do it justice, spotlessly clean throughout. Easy instructions to find property and get inside. Beds were so comfortable, linens and towels gorgeous. The bathroom is stunning. If you are considering this property know you will love it , if we are back in the area THIS is where we will be staying. Thank you Heidi

We normally stay in central Cambridge and Sarah’s place was a nice change and a great opportunity to discover a new area. The place is exactly as described; we enjoyed the 30 minute walk into town along the river and it was lovely to be able to walk along the tow path in the other direction too.

Swan view is a lovely place to stay. Great space. Easily walkable to restaurants. Very clean and just as described/pictured. Matt and Michaela are great hosts. They have put together a binder with everything you need to know about the apartment and the area. They are also quick to respond.

Wonderful weekend retreat while we attended an event at Breydon Arena 10 minutes away. The flat is as photographed with the bonus of an entry large enough to accommodate all bags as we moved things about. It was clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. We would love to return again!

Sue was very responsive and reached out to offer use of a high chair for our baby. Very private and peaceful location, just lovely to look out onto the Broads from the kitchen! Such a comfortable place to stay and exceptionally clean. Soft and clean bed linen and towels. We felt at home for our four day stay.

This wonderful place is a Haven for North Norfolk! Jason was very informative and quick and helpful with messages and responses. Can't wait to go back in July!

We had a wonderful stay here, felt right at home. Plenty of space for the 6 of us, comfortable sofas and beds, plenty of towels for the hot tub. The surrounding area was beautiful with a short walk to the lake. The hosts came back straight away with my many questions and we are getting a date sorted to book back in next year. One point to make is that there is pub down the road that although google said was open, it isn't at weekends. There is a great little cafe though on the lake that is a 5 minute walk away. Easy to get a food shopping order delivered and a really nice touch of a cake and bottle of wine as we were there celebrating Birthdays. Highly recommend this place. Thanks for having us.

We had a wonderful week at Betty’s Cottage, we made use of the lovely woods & lake area & we pre booked the swimming pool before our arrival. We wanted to rest & recharge & the idyllic surroundings were just perfect for that. Checking in was easy & Sarah the Host was contactable if we needed anything.

Great place & host! Looked like the pictures & was near a lake. Nice forest walks close by to. Was a short drive to the beach, overall a nice play to stay!

Drovers Cottage was a charming place to stay. It was spacious and well equipped for the 3 of us plus our elderly labrador dog. It was spotlessly clean and had comfortable beds. The garden area was secure and private, and the walks around the property were beautiful. The only downside of our holiday was the weather, but that's certainly not in anyone's control!!

Helpful host, lovely property, great location. Children absolutely loved their stay.

We have just got home from a lovely week at Tamsin’s place, we have enjoyed ourselves so much, the house was lovely, was very comfortable, had everything we needed, with the added bonus of a little conservatory to sit in with our morning coffee! The garden was lovely and quirky, had plenty of seating and so much to look at, was very private and secure which is a bonus with the dogs. Just checking to see when we can come again. Tamsin was a great host, communication was great, couldn’t have asked for better.
