Shepherds hut holiday rentals in North York Moors National Park

We had a great stay. The pod was very cosy, comfy and had everything we needed. We loved the wood burner on colder evening. The host was friendly and always responded quickly to our questions. The area is stunning, walking distance from the train station, good local buses connections; directly to the Roman War Museum and other parts of the Hadrian Wall. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely stay, would recommend

Having come to York to celebrate our anniversary, we could not have chosen a more perfect stay. Ruth’s hut was absolutely divine, cosy cute and perfect for a winter trip away. The log burner fire made for the perfect cosy evenings tucked away in peace and quiet - both Ruth and Ste were incredible hosts, friendly, helpful and we took up all Ste’s recommendations! (A trip to Pocklington is a must! The hide cafe had the best breakfast we have ever had!) We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to return soon!

Really really good stay. Enjoyed the use of the indoor and outdoor fires, especially under the stars and listening to the owls. Kathryn & Trevor have really used the space well and it feels very private. Trevor welcomed us from the beginning and was very friendly and showed us to the hut. Perfect weekend away to recharge and spend quality time with loved ones. Thank you for letting us stay in such a lovely peaceful space! Oh and the sheep are extremely friendly too!

Second trip this year and the third already booked. Absolutely stunning location, the hut is beautiful and has everything you need. Spotless and the added little touches really are a bonus. Highly recommended and can’t wait to go back! Thank you Kayleigh, Dan and family.

This place was great! everything me and my partner needed. Hot tub, pool, saunas, bbq, games room, comfy bed! This place we found last min for our anniversary and it was really good. Gillian was friendly, the farm was great, cute cows and goats. Peaceful with the noise of the country side. We went to a country inn not far called Blue Bell Inn, who did amazing food. the place is everything you need for a relaxing time. the wood fired hot tub and saunas were amazing, and we made a bbq for tea on the second night which was simple. everything, from utensils to firestarters to wood is provided which was super handy. Not far from knaresborough, we used taxis, which were okay, some services didn’t know where the place was which is no fault of Gillian’s, but the taxis. apart from that, i’d be back with probably more family as there is plenty of places to stay - just maybe when i drive 🤣 Oh and not to mention - the log fire in the hut was amazing - kept the place warm and inviting.

We really enjoyed our night away in our cosy little shepherds hut. The surroundings were stunning and our hut was absolutely spotless. It was in a great location. We enjoyed a lovely meal in a local pub only 10 minutes drive away. The hot tub was definitely worth the extra £50. It was lovely and hot as we kept adding the logs on the fire. It was a lovely relaxing experience and amanda was a great host. Very helpful and recommended places to eat nearby. We just wish we booked an extra night. We will be returning in the future. Amazing place. A little cozy if you are bringing a medium/ big four legged friend. But otherwise it had all the essentials for a pleasant stay, it was very clean and well maintained. The check in was super flexible, which is a plus, and we received very clear instructions of how to find the place. Amazing views too!

Alison and Andrew's place was absolutely magical! The hut itself has everything you could ever need for a nature escape away. The location was perfect for anyone attempting the Yorkshire 3 peaks (it was a 20 minute drive away). There was fresh milk from the farm when we arrived which was amazing and a really thoughtful touch!! we will be coming back again, we didn't want to leave :)))

Can’t recommend Chris and the Shepherds hut enough. The place is beautiful, there’s three huts onsite but they are positioned so it feels totally secluded and private. Fantastic views of Stoodley Pike. Hot Tub was great and easy to use, hut was immaculately clean and had everything you need to make it a home away from home. Chris was super helpful, getting in touch to offer to clean the tub and change our towels throughout the stay. He also recommended several pubs and restaurants to try in the area, all of which were fantastic. We had a great stay and will definitely be returning in the future.

A lovely, quaint, and cute venue. Just what was needed, peaceful, loads of walks about and greenhead a mile away. Hosts were knowledgeable, polite and very friendly, recommended local pubs and walks nearby. Would return in a heartbeat.

Lovely stay, everything as described. Everything had been thought of which made the stay perfect! We spent most of the time at the hut itself as it had everything we needed but also visited the Mallyan Spout Waterfall which was lovely!

My wife and I spent a very relaxed and peaceful two days at this lovely Shepherds Hut. We loved watching all the nature around the pond and relaxing in the hot tub. Very responsive host, provided some great recommendations and they should be proud of the place they have built, as we had a fantastic couple of days away.

We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherds Hut! Clare left a lovely breakfast hamper and was super helpful offering to light up the hot tub for us! Gorgeous and clean accommodation, a lovely walk into Ravensworth to the local pub, and a short drive into Richmond for a lovely day out! Will definitely be recommending and staying again! Thank you

My wife and I found this little gem as a last minute gat away. It was so peaceful and quiet. The hut was lovely and clean with the added bonus of WiFi where we enjoyed a film after having a dip in the hot tub. The view was lovely and we enjoyed watching the chickens. We received clear video instructions and they were very easy to follow. I did find the bed a little short as I’m 6ft, but I managed and was worth it for the quiet, relaxing break we wanted. A wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the country, on the doorstep to Hardraw Force and within easy walking distance to Hawes. Our stay came with a fantastic breakfast and staying in the shepherds hut in the Dales was truly a unique experience that you’ll struggle to find anywhere else.

Peace full and relaxing and private . Hot tub under the stars listening to nature great views was perfect .

Absolutely perfect and private location. Set in a beautiful little forest away from other guests, lets you forget about the world. Wildlife surrounding the cabin is amazing, we spotted deer, pheasants, hare amongst others. We would definitely recommend this beautiful place to anyone. Thankyou for a great experience. An incredible stay in amazing surroundings! Cate went above and beyond to welcome myself and my new wife on our mini moon trip, with little decoration touches and welcome hamper for us to enjoy. Incredible views of Pondon reservoir and a few minutes drive from Haworth. The private hot tub was romantic and relaxing, and snug ski hut for evening drinks was amazing! The Shepard’s hut has everything you need and is beautifully decorated. Couldn’t recommend enough! Will be returning! Thanks Cate
