Holiday rentals with a kayak in Northern Europe

We (3 generations: 6 adults and 1 baby) stayed at Anna‘s for a family vacation. The location, view, comfort and accommodations were excellent. The pool and outdoor terrace were wonderful. Anna was very friendly, quick to respond and communicate, helpful with recommendations. We had a comfortable, memorable stay at the Blueview Villa.

Excellent. A very special house for nature lovers, secluded in a private bay. You can only hear the birds and the sea. Sunset included. Very nice host. He even caught us fresh fish and prepared it deliciously. Unforgettable stay.

Even better than the photos. I’ve been waiting years to find a weekend at this place and it was worth it. Glorious.

We loved staying here! It was such a beautiful place and a great way to appreciate the fjords. The house had everything we needed. It was well stocked with an impressive library. I could recommend without reservations.

In a haven of tranquility by the river, an adorable little house absolutely in line with the description of the ad, ideal for a couple, awaited us. Aleksa and Alexandre are very charming and welcoming hosts. For a future stay, we would prefer the other house at the end of their land, which has a garden and a more private terrace, offering more privacy and direct access to the river. The walk with the canoe provided is a real plus with its green and bucolic environment. The center of Chartres and its cathedral are 15 minutes away by car and the castle of Maintenon, which is worth the detour, is 35 minutes away. Loved our stay!

Such a beautiful opportunity to experience the quiet and authentic side of Stornaway. We loved every minute we spent at The Bunker! The views were spectacular and the sunrises/sunsets ever changing. The kitchen was sprinkled with locally baked treats and even homemade jam for us to enjoy. It was such a delight. The only drawback, for me personally, is how I move forward with no warming towel rack in my life!! I can’t unfeel the delightfulness of warmed clothes on a chilly morning. They are not common in the states. On a scale of one to ten, The Bunker was easily a 72 ;).

Thanks to Antonio for your hospitality! The villa is fully equipped with all the necessary amenities for guests (even more than you might expect). Stylish, cozy and perfect for a family vacation. We chose this accommodation to celebrate a birthday in a family circle and were completely satisfied. The hosts are always in touch and help if necessary. The girl who checked us in was friendly and explained everything clearly. The view from the pool is incredible! There are shops and bars nearby, very close. We are saving this accommodation and will definitely return, our stay will remain with us for a long time❤️

We had a lovely stay. The setting is very pretty, peaceful, in the heart of nature. The accommodation is very well equipped, the sauna and the pool are very enjoyable. Warning: those sensitive to insects should refrain.

We had high expectations from poring over photos and reviews of Banc-yr-Eithin prior to our stay and it somehow managed to exceed them. The cottage and grounds are breathtakingly beautiful and the facilities are incredible, you want for nothing during your stay here. Highlights include watching the birds at the feeders, the treehouse, the underfloor heating in the bathroom, the sauna, the games room in the barn, waking to the sound of birdsong, I could go on! Sussanah and Hugh are the perfect hosts, they were incredibly helpful both prior to and during our stay. We were staying with a relative with health issues and limited mobility and they were extremely helpful in ensuring that he was comfortably accommodated. They dealt with this issue with compassion, discretion and kindness. We were incredibly grateful to get to sample Hugh's cinnamon buns and they did not disappoint! They were delicious and much appreciated. Thank you for an incredible stay, we can't wait to return soon!

We were warmly greeted by Alain and Clair on arrival – they couldn’t have been more welcoming, and their kindness really set the tone for our stay. The setting was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, a real escape from the hustle and bustle. The highlight for us was sitting and looking out at the river and waterfall right next to the property – the view was stunning and the sound of the water was so soothing. We left feeling completely relaxed and recharged. Highly recommended!

Great and cozy place to stay. We felt very comfortable. If you had any questions, Per was easy to reach and gave great tips for the area and good fishing spots. We'll be back.

We had a wonderful week at the boathouse and enjoyed being there very much! The sauna was in use a lot, almost every day, because it is really beautiful! After each course, we could swim in the Baltic Sea and cool off... And Maria and Jussi are friendly people, open in communication and very reliable. We lacked nothing, and we would come back anytime! Thank you!!!

We had a great time at Jennifer's place. Even with mixed weather in early June, the place provided enough space and opportunities (well equipped kitchen, spacey living room, sauna) to spend time even during rain.

Beautiful little Airbnb! It was very clean , perfect for a weekend getaway.

This place is truly one of a kind. Simply the most exceptional place I have been to. Great restaurants nearby, directly accessible by boat. We just loved cruising around the lake with the small motor boat, it made everything feel more special. The place itself is unique, as only very few houses are available in Santa Margherita. Lots of birds to watch, but the icing on the cake was all the fireflies at night that sparkle in the dark, really magical. But above all, Mattia was the friendliest, most helpful host and made everything nice and comfortable for us.

Highly recommend for a peaceful break. Watching the stars in the hot tub with an owl flying over was particularly magical.

The accommodation is simply indescribably beautiful - we enjoyed the days very much. The view of the water is something very special. It's less than 30 minutes by car to Bergen. Knut was always very friendly and helpful. Thank you - we absolutely recommend the accommodation 😊

Joan's house nestles among similar properties just above the main street through Lochcarron offering fantastic views and an open aspect of the Loch and hills beyond. There are sliding doors onto a very well presented decking and seating area. There is a small very clean outdoor sauna to the side of the decking but we didn't have an opportunity to use it. There was ample comfortable seating in the living area and a large dining table both again with fantastic views. The kitchen is a good size and has all the required appliances. The bedrooms are all comfortable with clean fresh bedding and good beds. The bathroom has a wetroom floor and shower area for easy access. Joan was very communicative before our stay and provided great instructions for entry etc. We were staying for Celtman 0.5, it's only a 20 min drive to Shieldaig which makes this a good location for Celtman reccie trips or race days. I would certainly stay here again and would happily recommend it.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The place is idyllic and perfect for two families who want to relax and enjoy nature. We used both boats and kayaks, and the kids were thrilled to see crabs - extra nice that the host took the time to show them. The evenings were spent around the fire and in the jacuzzi – a perfect end to fine days. Everything was clean, well organized and incredibly cozy. Highly recommended for all who love nature and tranquility. We will definitely come back – thank you very much!

If you are looking for peace, original nature and a very loving host family, you will definitely find it here :-) The direct location on the fjord is a dream, we were immediately enchanted. We felt very welcome from the first moment anyway, Therese gave us recommendations for the area and we even got tickets to the opera in the village. Helpful and very friendly family, the communication was great and also the cozy cottage with surroundings perfect. Absolutely recommended and we will be happy to come back :-)

Our stay on the island in Christian's hut was wonderful! Our dog was happier than he had ever been in his life. The forest is really great, there is a lot to discover! Will definitely visit again. Thank you, dear Christian.

This place is an absolute gem! It’s so incredibly cozy and remote and the hosts have thought of everything. They were very responsive if we had any concerns or questions. The hot tub is a little bit of work if you want to use it. Don’t be stubborn like my husband and try to start the fire for it in the rain, but beautiful once you get it going. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful Norwegian stay.
