Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Northern Norway

Stein-Ove and Marita are the best possible hosts, as they do their ultimate best to make sure that their guests have a phenomenal experience, in their fabulous house, in the unique environment of Lofoten. What stands out the most, from my view, is that the guests get the real experience of real life in such remote area of the world. This was my and my wife's intention, totally fulfilled beyond expectations, and we will never forget what we saw and how we felt. The house is situated in a magnificent location, between splendid mountains and coastline, and still easily accessible via a road where there is very little traffic, which ensure total peace. We felt what it means to have a family life in Lofoten, basically the experience cannot be more authentic, truly. Needless to say, the house was spotlessly clean and had all facilities to feel at home, e.g. we could use the kitchen to have a peaceful dinner overlooking the ocean. In brief, if you want the real experience, do book this house!

Great place, location and stay.

We called it our little corner of paradise. Peace and quiet and all the possibilities for relaxation both inside and outside the house.

We fall in love with this house. It has a lot of great moment to offer. You can walk on the frozen lake, playing snow around the house, and even seeing aurora from the house window. Love the surroundings! The amenities are also great. Thank you host for the great house with excellent service.

A lovely old cottage renovated with good taste in a quiet location. The chickens were clucking in the yard and the owner was really nice. The evening sun shone beautifully inside and in the morning we went to the sauna. Really neat and all the amenities were found. I have to come again!

The accommodation is very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the port of Torsken and the mountains. It is located right next to a grocery store and a very good restaurant is about 500 meters away. From the accommodation, we did the Midtertinden hike and nearby, we did Sukkertoppen, Middagstind and Smatindan. There are also many other hikes a little further away.

Within ~1 year, this place got 20 five-star reviews. The only reason it hasn't crossed 50 is: Sortland is less popular than mainland Lofoten. The place is not only handled with, but also designed with utmost care. Originally built in 1934, every corner of it carries a meaning that not even an unwatchful guest can ignore. There is family heritage, and there is just the right amount of it. That's where the comfort begins. Living room is smaller than its photos. But with modern furniture & a smart TV, you never run out of indulgence. Kitchen & barbecue hut are well-equipped with utensils and tools for all types of cooking. Bedrooms are comfy, and just right for the cosy cuddles. The grassy, lush outside with a private beach is kept free of bugs by hosts. You can't get enough of the hot tub under starry/green sky! The best part is the proactive hosts who promply fulfill all unmet needs. The house, with all its warmth, keeps luring you. A tough fight against luscious Lofoten!

We were very much looking forward to our stay in Norway and the host was always available. We chose to stay in peace and nature with sauna and hot tub. For the use of this, we had to pay extra which is not very clearly stated. For this price, maybe a little more wood provided because you will certainly not be able to use this and since the price is already pricey anyway, if this is unlimited, we find it. The house was clean, spacious and beautiful view. However, a dangerous staircase, especially the hole down when you are upstairs. Children who are playing do not always have this in mind, maybe a fence provided for safety! The fireplace is definitely a plus because we love this coziness. We were able to admire the northern lights 5 of the 6 nights from the terrace. The kitchen equipment may be a little more extensive. We missed a mixer to mix our soup and a colander to shake off the spaghetti.

Cozy little cottage with all the necessities. Very nice reception and smooth check-in and check-out. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay at a quiet location close enough to walk down the street to restaurants. Hosts let me park the motorcycle in the garage, and had the door open and ready for me. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Nusfjord is a beautiful location. We used it as a base to do several hikes around the island. The house itself is easy to find. Anne Lise was quick to respond. Instructions were clear and check in and out easy. Kitchen stands out in completeness, also the bathroom and shower are a definite plus. Would most definitely recommend!!!

Very pleasant and warm communication. The apartment is located at the end of a residential area, beautifully in the countryside, and you can start hiking directly from the apartment. Even had the rare luck to see moose that came into the settlement. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. And the living room is so cozy that you can even spend a real "bad weather" day at home. For many excursions from an accommodation, however, I find it a bit too remote.

Apartment was incredible and perfect for our family of 3. If you want to be away from city center, this is the place for you. Local transportation is within walking distance and very reliable even during a snowstorm. Knut was welcoming and helpful. Can’t recommend Knut’s place enough.

It's a studio that has everything. It is decorated with very good taste, which makes the stay, if possible, more pleasant and what to say about the terrace with spectacular views. 100% recommended.👍🥂

The house is a super nice place to stay for a few days with a beautiful view(!!!) and all the luxury you need. Ørjan explained everything clearly and easily through a manual. If we ever go back to Tromsø, this house will be high on the list to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay! Originally, we were accommodated in the small studio, but when the landlord's brother saw that we were traveling with a toddler (14 months), he kindly offered to move us to a larger accommodation. This hospitality totally surprised and touched us - simply great! We were also allowed to use the large washing machine and dryer when he noticed our laundry mountain – that was incredibly helpful on a longer trip with a child. The accommodation was very clean, the sauna is free to use, and washing also costs nothing – a real plus! The location is fantastic - with views of the mountains, the sea and even a beach nearby. We felt completely comfortable and can absolutely recommend the stay. Thank you for everything!

This stay was by far one of our absolute favorite Airbnbs! The cabin is beautifully designed, spacious, and perfectly situated to take in the breathtaking views of the seaside. Sitting in the cozy living room, watching the ever-changing scenery through the large windows, was an experience in itself—especially since we were lucky enough to see both the northern lights and whales during our stay! The location is wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by nature with almost no neighbors, yet still conveniently close to Tromsø. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals while enjoying the incredible views. The bedrooms were comfortable and everything felt clean and modern. If you're looking for a relaxing escape with stunning scenery and the chance to see incredible wildlife, this is the perfect place. We can't recommend it highly enough and would love to return one day!

Visited Bente’s fantastic cabin for the 4th or 5th time - we just love the view and the location is very good for ski touring especially in the northern part of the Lyngen area.

Wow, what an amazing experience we had! The house had everything we needed and was super clean. The location was very good and calm, not far away from Leknes Airport. The whirlpool was pure luxury and the view over the mountains and the sea felt like a dream. The communication with Linda was very fast and easy.

we had everything we needed. the house is stunning and well equiped. you have everything beginning with a fire place, a hot tub, a sauna. a bit of a minus is the location. there are many street light because the house is in the middle of a skiing area. if you want so see the northern lights clearly i would sugest going to a more remote place

Everything about this stay was wonderful. From the beginning, Fredrik was communicative leading up to the stay. He offered advice and recommendations for things to do in the area. This home is immaculately designed and decorated. Very Scandinavian and minimalist design, which is my personal favorite. On top of that, the view is just gorgeous. It was hard to ever leave the home. We hope to come back again one day and stay again.

We enjoyed our time in Ronald Hütte. The accommodation is located near the boat dock, with a great cafe. From the living room of the property you have a great view of the entire fjord and surrounding mountains. In the evening you can enjoy the sun on the terrace. The sauna and barbecue cabin complete the entire stay. A ski route goes right from the property through the Fjell. On the way is a cabin (Trollhütte) already marked in the parking lot, where you can warm up and have a great time. Thanks to Ronald, for the great time. 😊

Jeremias and Mariella's cabin is beautifully located and very lovingly furnished. We really enjoyed the time with them and would go back to this place at any time.
