Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Oconee County

What a cute farmhouse! It was the perfect location for our family of 5 to visit our grandmother at Clemson Downs. Location is very convenient to campus and the botanical gardens. Enough seating for us to comfortably hang out, or play games at the kitchen table.

AMAZING! Christine’s place is an absolute gem and she is an absolutely amazing host. Everything was as planned and even more. Great lake community, really peaceful with a 2 min walk to beach area. House was perfect size and spotless. This is a great spot and Christine is super helpful and responsive. Also was surprised how short of a drive it was from all the things you could need, restaurants, stores, etc. and best of all real close to Clemson!

My husband and I came here to relax for our 6th wedding anniversary. We had a lovely time! It was peaceful, low-key, and very private. It was small, but VERY comfortable and cozy. It was also clean and smelled new! We are looking forward to bringing our son sometime in the future for a family trip!

Great stay in Highlands! A few things to note - the mile drive after you get off the main road is gravel and there’s no service. There was also no Uber/Lyft but we were driving so no issues there. Just a couple things to plan for during your stay! Overall, amazing place, extremely clean, & great communication with host. Would 100% stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It’s the perfect get away on the lake for big groups. It is in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could need. 10/10 recommend!!

Perfect home for a family or group. Very spacious and clean, fully stocked kitchen we cooked dinner every night! The dock was perfect for tanning and swimming, our daughters also loved the kayaks and paddle board. Very peaceful location. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a lake trip! Amelia is a super host! She was always responsive, before and during our stay with clear communication about everything. She provided flexibility on check-in and check-out. The condo is about a 5 minute drive to Clemson's campus, which made it the perfect location for us to visit our son there and attend a football game. It was exactly as described/ pictured, squeaky clean, nicely updated, and quiet (on the 3rd floor). It is located in an older complex, but inside the condo has been completely updated with brand new flooring, bathrooms, countertops, appliances, etc. TVs are in every room, but you will probably not want to stay inside much....it's on the lake! We didn't get down to the lake, but we could see the lake from the balcony of the condo. Parking was always available all weekend, directly in front. Everything we could have possibly needed was there, and it was in places we would expect to find it! We are already picking dates to go back to this AirBNB! Thank you, Amelia!

What a gem of a place. We booked this listing on a last-minute whim for MDW. Not only was it even lovelier than the pictures but it was exactly the getaway our weary souls were needing. There are few places that will calm you better than a cup of coffee on the patio. Lucia was extremely responsive, gave great and clear instructions and was very accommodating. The only draw back is the number of stairs down to the lake. The view is killer but with toddlers that made things like bathroom breaks tricky. If you’re not super mobile take that into account. Otherwise, this was a slice of paradise. The fire ring, stocked wood, and plethora of kayaks and paddle boards made this a fun weekend to remember.

The house is simply fantastic. Everything is of the highest quality and very tasteful. Everything has informative labels to make it easier to use. Super modern structure.

We came for memorial Day weekend and the place was very clean and Rita was very hospitable. They even stocked the fridge with our favorite beverages! The sugar shack was right near the water and their was even a boat dock to store our boat for the weekend. We highly recommend this rental!

Overall had a great stay for graduation! House was clean and in a quiet, gated neighborhood that is close to campus which was perfect. We didn’t need to cook meals but enjoyed the living space that is nicely decorated with Clemson decor. Two additional stools would be nice addition to the kitchen area. Joseph was quick to respond to my questions.

Ellen was a fantastic host. Ellen was extremely responsive and helpful and Ellen’s place is a beautiful and peaceful location.

This was one of the most tranquil stays we’ve ever had. I sat on the front porch drinking coffee and relaxing to the sound of rain drizzling through the tree limbs and birds singing. The place was very clean and comfortable. We used the fire pit one night and it was very nice. I don’t usually revisit the same place but we might be back to this one.

Deanna is a fabulous host. She was extremely responsive to our questions. The place was great and very comfortable. If you are a bass fisherman the locking garage for your boat is awesome. We will be back for sure

This place was so peaceful and relaxing. We stayed on the dock or around the fire pit. Mornings were spent drinking coffee on the deck with the gorgeous lake views. Never even turned the TV on. The house was clean and well stocked. There’s lots to do in the area as well. Definitely will be back.

Highly recommend! We enjoyed a five night stay at Sabir’s cabin and commuted to Clemson daily as our son attended basketball camp on campus. I will say this is one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. The cabin was warm and welcoming, spotless, and perfectly matched the description. There was no detail overlooked. It was well-stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen was supplied with more than basic necessities. While we didn’t end up using them, we were happy to find a toaster, blender, and griddle for pancakes. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms were cozy. The lake was beautiful. We really enjoyed the swing on the dock and the sunbathing mat. We brought our own kayaks as my husband enjoys his fishing kayak but that was not necessary as Sabir had two youths kayaks and one tandem for use. Overall, it was an exceptional place and I cannot wait to return again soon.

This home is a perfect getaway. It is off the beaten path, yet only 8 or 9 minutes from Highlands. It is well equipped for just about all of your needs and then some. The host was very responsive and even reached out to us to see how our first night went. I can’t recommend it enough. The only problem that we encountered was the strength of wifi, which obviously affects your streaming ability. With an AT&T and a Verizon phone, both had no signal while we were there. Beyond that, put your phone down and enjoy what you came to enjoy. You won’t lose all contact with civilization, but I would not recommend it for a business related retreat or a week/weekend where broadband access is crucial. Other than that, It is probably one of the most well furnished and well equipped Airbnb’s I have stayed in. Everything was clean, comfortable, and very cozy. It was a perfect couple of days for our honeymoon, and we are already looking forward to returning. PSA: Driving an SUV or a truck is advisable.

We had a great stay at Carolyn’s cabin! It was away from everything, which some may not like, but that’s exactly how we like it. It forces you to get creative and just enjoy the simple things, like the sounds of nature. She had beautiful flowers and plants on the deck, which brought in lots of hummingbirds. The beds were comfy, the kitchen and bathroom had extras for you to use, along with high quality pots and pans. (Stainless steel is all we use). The drive was steep, but our truck did just fine. Our dog enjoyed it all as well. 🐾

I can't say enough good things about Scott and Christina's home! The game room was so much fun! The game room is in a nice and separate building. We enjoyed having access to games, Sling TV, a clean home, plenty of towels, and minimal chores. The home was well stocked with extra pillows and blankets. The hosts were very friendly and responsive! We absolutely loved our stay! We'll definitely go back! I strongly recommend staying here! Thank you, Scott and Christina!

We were having our family Christmas get together and was so happy that the house was still beautifully decorated for Christmas. That made our gathering extra special! The house was perfect for our group!
