Fabulous round house on the west coast of Scotland

The DRUM at Dunmore is a stunning elliptical house with a sloping roof and high ceilings, clad in charred larch with orange window frames and painted wooden floors. Designed by architect Roderick James and built by a crack team of smashing local chaps, the Drum is a perfect bolt hole for two. It has a wood burning stove and a big squashy velvet sofa, floor to ceiling triple glazed windows and is nestled in woodland on a small estate (complete with castle) and just moments from the sea.

The Shepherd's Hut

Our off grid Shepherds Hut sleeps 2 and is ideal for one or two night stays on Jura that are low key, low maintenance stays. It's glamping rather than a serviced stay. If you've missed the ferry or you've been washed out of your tent then our Shepherd's Hut would be perfect for you. It has a chemical-loo and a small wood burning stove for heat. A double bed, storage, chair, picnic table, and we can provide water and a jet boil to make coffee. Please bring camping gear for cooking.
