Urke in Hjørundfjorden - cabin at the edge of the sea

Urke is a living small village and has everything you need; great nature, hiking and swimming facilities, shop with mail and pharmacy, hiking and its own pub/café. The nature in the area is amazing. The Sunnmørsalpane encircles the village with majestic Slogen and Saksa which have become really popular after Sherpas from Nepal have made steps up through the ura. In the last few years, Urkeegga has also become a popular hiking destination. The mountains here are equally popular for skiing tourists during the winter as for mountain hikes in the summer.

Ripa

Ripa is beautifully located by the fjord. Ripa is suited for couples, solo travelers, business travelers, families (with children), and smaller groups. At Ripa you can relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery, go hiking in the mountains or by the fjord, try your luck at fishing or do excursions by car. There are several nice hiking trails in the nearby area. As for Tussedalen, Kjerringekjeftane and Dukhornet. If you like shopping, head to Stryn, where you'll find Moods of Norway and Skogstad and many other shops.

Great scenery with many hiking opportunities in Sunnmørfjella. Apartment from 1967 with private entrance, living room and kitchen. Cooking possibility with small refrigerator. Outside is a fire pan for barbecue. Shop Coop Market in Barstadvik, and restaurants in Ørsta. Molla Valley is a popular climbing area. We also know about noise opportunities in nearby areas. Furthermore, we have access to fishing spots and exciting beaches: Flø, Playa del Kaia 1h driving time to Ålesund.

Cottage by the lake

Nice cottage right by the sea with good sun conditions. Boat w/motor can be rented for an addition to the price. The cabin is located in a very nice area in the middle of Sunnmørsalpane. Great possibilities for mountain hiking in summer and winter, and fishing in the fjord. Nice starting point for day trips to the bird mountain Runde, Ålesund and Geiranger. There is plenty of space for 8 people in the cabin, but for ski tourists we want to rent to a maximum of 6 people.

The cabin is situated right next to some of the most beautiful fjords in Norway. in the summer you can experience whales swimming by, different birds and other animals. in the winter you can wake up and drive 30 minutes and go skiing in the mountains. You can also se beautiful northern lights (aurora borealis) here.

Perfect base for hiking and fishing

The house is located at Riksheim, Sykkylven in beautiful surroundings with great hiking and fishing possibilities. Most of the house was renovated in fall 2015. A spacious veranda with views of the fjord was added. A boat and boat house available for guests. Public transport is scarce in the area, and we do not recomend staying without a car.

There is parking at the house. You need to have a car. There is no public transport in the area. To get to Ålesund and the airport, you can take speedboat or ferry from Hareid. It is about 10 km to Hareid from the house.
