Beautiful place to stay. Stunning views and amazing home. The road up was surprisingly steep and bumpy. I think a low car would have had trouble getting up. The door was a bit tricky to close. But everything was explained and described perfectly in Laurel and Steak’s instructions. I’ll 100% want to return back

Fantastic getaway in the mountains, next to a babbling brook, with everything you could want. Just a quick trip down to the village but far enough away that it was super quiet. I'd been dreaming of an A frame with giant windows and a patio overlooking the trees and this was exactly it. That, plus the bonus of a cozy place to watch movies and hang out inside. It was my first trip to Idyllwild and I hope to come back again to stay here.

Mathilde & Rudy's place was SPECTACULAR. The house was located on a very private road and was incredibly peaceful. It was such an amazing experience relaxing in the hot tub with the milky way right above us! The hammock was also perfectly placed. The house was super cute, nicely decorated, and very clean. I would definitely use the Waze app when navigating the neighborhood, though, because the directions were more straight forward than google maps. If you are thinking about booking here just do it!

A stunning, stylish home. We were specifically looking for a place without a hot tub to avoid chlorine, and the beautiful soaking tubs here were a total gem. The location was fantastic — it feels wonderfully secluded, yet local cafés and shops are just minutes away. We absolutely loved our stay and truly regretted not booking for longer.

This place is absolutely majestic. Stayed for one night but, wow, what a wonderful experience. The silence is worth every penny. Stargazing. It convinced to secure a place here in the desert. This is my kind of weird. Ryan was a fantastic communicator: proactive, friendly, and accommodating. If you're looking for an escape from the weirdness of the city into the normal of the desert, this is your place!!

Sarah's place is truly magical, an incredible host who has thoughtfully curated every single detail to create the perfect retreat. From the moment we arrived, we felt the intentionality in every aspect, designed specifically to help guests disconnect from the chaos and reconnect deeply within themselves. We loved the deliberate absence of a TV, which encouraged us to immerse ourselves fully in the unique environment Sarah has lovingly cultivated. One of our favorite experiences was feeding the abundant wildlife, bunnies, roadrunners, birds, and chipmunks. It genuinely felt like stepping into a Disney movie! Sarah has created an extraordinary ecosystem that is vibrant, nurturing, and enchanting. This is not your typical modern stay devoid of character; this is a soulful space overflowing with heart and purpose. We wholeheartedly recommend Sarah's place to anyone seeking a meaningful getaway. Great, easy going and responsive hosts and a beautiful cabin in a private location, close to some great hikes. Would definitely visit again.

Our family loved staying in the little A Frame! Lots of homey touches & natural decor that was practical and yet beautiful. The town is walkable from the home. Very peaceful location! Host is very responsive. (People with mobility issues would have a hard time with the stairs).

What a special and beautiful spot this was! It surpassed our expectations, in particular the artistry of the interior and exterior design. This was far beyond a basic rental property, you can tell folks put love, care and character into each stylistic choice! All amenities were fantastic, hosts responsive, peaceful and quiet surrounding areas — absolutely no complaints.

Very comfortable and cozy stay. It was super clean and had so much attention to detail. We loved the guide for the area in the hallway and that everything was labeled in the kitchen 🤌

The place was nice and clean. Maya has everything for you to cook, shower and sleep. Just bring your groceries 😉 The sunset, you can't really see it because of the houses, but the sunset was beautiful 🌄 I definitely recommend her place.

We needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, and this house was the just the answer. Quiet, private, and our dog Luna loved the yard.

Casa Flamingo was great! The pictures don’t do the space justice; I walked around for the first 10 minutes exclaiming “THIS IS SO CUTE!” The outdoor spaces are great and offer a variety of options to view the surroundings and stars. The interior has so many amazing windows you barely feel like you’re inside. The space feels more spacious than the pictures suggest; my 6’5” partner didn’t feel cramped at all. The house is easy to locate, and is a close and easy drive from much of what Joshua Tree has to offer. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Cabin was exactly as described. Very comfortable, spotless, sublime desert location. Loved the outdoor shower!

This was hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. In fact, staying here in this beautiful home and amazing location, it has influenced my boyfriend and I to start our journey with owning an Airbnb! I can’t say enough good things about this place! Can’t say enough great things about this place. The house is so charming and in a great location close to town. Very clean, Comfy beds, soft towels, everything we needed in the kitchen. 10/10 style and accommodations. We traveled with 2 preschoolers and it was absolutely perfect for our little family. We loved the hammocks and playing in the creek behind the property. Will absolutely be back

The cabin has all the amenities, but it was such a calming environment, that just sitting together for our anniversary, listening to the sounds of the forest and feeling the pleasant breeze was enough. Of course we used the hot tub under the stars and watched a bit of Stanley Tucci's show about Italy on Hulu during breakfast, but the cabin and it's location are the best thing happening. Going to dinner in town was about 5 minutes in the car, but we liked the cabin so much, we ate and returned to spend more time together, in a place so very different from our home in San Diego. We'll have to stay longer next time. Thanks David!

Nice place. Much larger than expected. Very clean, very spacious. Loved that he had a large cold pitcher of water. It’s a small detail, but very thoughtful and a haven in the desert. We visited Joshua Tree over a couple of days. Perfect distance to it. Not too close as to still be near a Vons or food areas, but not too far that we would make it there rather quickly. Plus, spending time outside in the backyard set up to stargaze was the highlight of the trip for me. For my wife was the view of the sunrise over the Joshua trees around. Overall a great stay.

This is our 3rd or 4th time here- we just love this Airbnb, truly our favorite! Our doodles have such a big enclosed yard to play- with trees and lots of wildlife all around us. And the prefect view of the Tahquitz rock too! I don’t even look for other Airbnbs anymore in Idyllwild- I just message Ariya and book☺️. The home is always clean with everything we need for cooking and relaxing. I always appreciate the assorted teas from their store as well. This time, we made sure we took advantage of the hot tub after a hike and a run. The bathrobes are always appreciated and even helpful when it got a little chilly at night. Ernie Maxwell trail is just over a mile from the house and my big dog and I hiked/ran there twice- such a beautiful place to take your dog(s). Ariya and Marc are such perfect hosts- always communicating and ensuring we are enjoying our stay. I also appreciated it when Ariya messaged me that I could check in early. Thanks again Ariya! We will be back for Thanksgiving wee
