Palmento San Nicolò

Nestled on a quiet country road in the heart of a vineyard planted on Monte San Nicolo, the accommodation includes 2 buildings, a Palmento from 1902 which houses the wine press and its outbuilding which was once used as a tool shed. The two spaces are united by a corten structure with a slatted roof, which provides a shady open plan kitchen and dining area next to a terrace and 4m x 7m salt water swimming pool, built in lava stone, recreating the the colours of the Etna coastline

The apartment, equipped with all modern comforts, is located next to the majestic Basilicata Santa Caterina, between the sea and Etna in the typical agricultural village of Pedara, famous for its excellent production of grapes, must and chestnuts. It overlooks Etna on one side and the natural park of Monte Troina with its natural and wildlife riches on the other. Next to it, on the same floor, is another apartment with 3 beds. Casa Alcova was the owners' home within Villa Lionti, a fortified farmhouse built of lava stone in the 1700s. There are 6 houses in the villa, all different, all available on the Airbnb website. You will sleep in an 18th-century alcove with frescoes, decorated walls, fine furniture, and rugs, and have a private patio.
