Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Piana Calzata

We stayed for four weeks in march. We had a great time, we fell in love with the place and their lovely dog Fiocco who is very sweet, also to children. Therèse and Viviana were very kind and helpful when we had questions. The house is situated in the middle of a large lemon grove and a daily stroll to the sea (it's a pebble beach) is greatly recommended. The nearby village San Stefano di Camastra is great for an ice cream and a coffee. We expected more hikes to be near, as it is located right next to Nebrodi but finding and reaching hotspots (hiking or otherwise) was ultimately harder than expected. We encountered this across Sicily though and is not related to the house itself. Our children loved to roam around the premises and find their own little adventures. All in all, we had a great relaxed stay and felt in tune with rural Sicily.

Fabulous views over the sea and mountains, large terrace to relax and dine and the hot tub (although we didn’t use it). The accommodation is a great size and plenty of space with everything you need. Luca was great and responded to any questions we had almost instantly, it felt very comfortable and such a relaxing place. Thankyou Luca & Antonella for an amazing stay !!

We had a great time staying at the large spacious villa. A real nice view from the terrace on the pool and sea and garden! Very friendly and helpful host Guiseppe. I can really recommend this beautiful villa!

This place was very relaxing and exactly as it was described, if not better. The jacuzzi was so nice and relaxing. The space was clean and filled with useful amenities like an Amazon Alexa for music and two smart TVs. The location is also right in the middle of the historic district. We ate a restaurant literally right next door. Overall, super nice!

This is a lovely spot well up in the hills outside of Cefalu. The views from the terrace are fantastic, the air is fresh, the local village has many nice small restaurants, as well as a little grocery store. If you want to go to Cefalu, it is a very short drive. But you are far away from all the overly frantic high-season tourist nonsense. Enjoy the outdoors shower! There is plenty of hot water and it is an experience you will want to repeat every day.

Really nice there. Both the area and the house. There is always someone available when there are problems and they take care of it. The house was very clean. Everything you need is available. If you have breakfast outside on the balcony, the day can only start well.

A beautiful Airbnb that has the perfect location. You can walk to the beach, but you are also in the middle of the beautiful old town. On the two balconies, you have the opportunity to have a cozy breakfast and watch the hustle and bustle on the street. The accommodation was clean and Claudio warmly welcomed us to the accommodation. There was even the possibility to leave your luggage in the accommodation before check-in time. I recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to have a nice time in Cefalu.

For those who want to stay away from the chaos and enjoy a few days of relaxation, it is the ideal place. The house is nice and has a level terrace with a spectacular sea view. Sunrises and sunsets will turn anyone into a photographer. This alone is worth the expense. The surroundings offer the possibility of excursions and visits to wonderful places and also to eat well given the great availability of restaurants. With Carlo, there are no problems, he is always ready with answers. We were assisted by the very kind mother, who welcomed us and gave us some tips on the places. She also left us jam and olives made by her and eggs from her hens. In short, it couldn't have gone better.

I really like the house, the location is excellent, on the hilltop overlooking the entire city, the business is very beautiful, the privacy is very good, the interior decoration is very elegant and tasteful, especially the group of prints and an oil painting in the room.The kitchen is very well equipped, the biggest highlight is on the terrace, we spent a lot of time enjoying that terrace.We prefer to admire the beautiful gas cutting furnace from afar on the terrace.Although it is a little inconvenient to drive up and down the hill, I quickly got used to it, and the beautiful scenery is all at the top, it is very worthwhile.It is also very convenient to get to the city.Basilio gave a lot of useful information.It's my favorite listing on this trip.

The apartment and terrace was beautiful and also huge! We could’ve fit another family in there! Giovanni was super sweet and responds immediately and also gave us a really nice list of restaurants in the area. The places we ate from his list were excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at Dorothée and Vito's. It has all the amenities you would need and very comfortable. Our hosts were very kind and friendly; made us feel at home. We loved the dogs, Kika and Gasto and Puma the cat! Would definitely recommend.

I stayed in Toni's place for 3 nights. The terraces is a fantastic bonus, perfect for breakfast and relaxing in the evening. The location is great, lots of restaurants around. The steps were not a challenge at all. I highly recommend staying here.

Stunning. Romantic. Well-located. Terribly sweet host. Loved laying in bed listening to the Italian waft through the windows from the cobblestone streets below. (Don’t miss viewing La Gancia church directly around the corner!)

A well maintained modern apartment in a restored palace. A very impressive property and lovely cosy outside terrace perfect for your morning coffee. Lots of suggestions and recommendations on places to go , eat and visit. We took the shuttle bus on the recommendation of Alice. Easiest way to get to and from Palermo airport for 6 Euros. Would recommend to anybody.

Tiziana is an amazing host. Very thoughtful and she thinks about her guests. One of the nicest hosts and nicest places I’ve stayed.

As we walked into the place, David greeted us with a warm welcome and basic instructions of the place. The snacks and drinks he left in the place for us were scrumptious and the recommended places were flawless. The place was definitely a once in a lifetime experience and anyone visiting Palermo should try it out!

This apartment is in an amazing location right in the centre of Cefalù. The balcony view of the cathedral is truly stunning. Antonio was super responsive and left clear instructions and great restaurant recommendations. The apartment was beautiful - it seems to have been decorated since the photos were taken so there were some differences but great overall.

Our stay at Federico’s apartment was wonderful. We had a very relaxing time and we were blown away by the attentiveness of our host. The apartment was incredibly well stocked with everything from beach equipment to more than enough coffee pods. We look forward to returning one day!

We had an absolutely wonderful 5-night stay at Robert and Francesco’s beautiful apartment in Cefalù. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and attentive hosts, making sure everything was perfect for ourstay. The apartment itself is stunning—tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. But the real highlight was the terrace—spacious, peaceful, and offering breathtaking views. We spent every morning enjoying coffee and every evening watching the sunset from there. It truly made the experience unforgettable. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, and historic center, yet tucked away enough to feel like a relaxing retreat. Robert and Francesco were always available for recommendations or assistance, and their hospitality made me feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Cefalù. Highly recommend, and we hope to return soon.

Excellent location for the town which is a lovely place to visit with a great atmosphere, restaurants and beaches. The apartment is spacious for 2-3 people and was very well equipped with some nice touches. It’s mentioned several times in previous reviews that there is no lift and the stairs are steep. Fine for us but you need to be aware if elderly/heavy bags etc. But that’s the price to pay for the location. Thanks for the stay

The apartment is lovely, looks exactly like the photos. Very nice beds, linen and towels. We were really happy with the place and the perfect location if you want to be in the centre of Palermo. Only issue is the noise. I thought it would be ok since we were there Sunday to Wednesday but it was very noisy every night. Possibly all of central Palermo would have the same problem. Also check the suitability of the stairs and railing if you have small children.

this gem in the middle of Cefalú old town was the perfect base for our beachy getaway. The location couldn't be better for morning dips or walks along the waterfront. Giuseppe was a kind, responsive host flexible with our check-in time and generous with the local recommendations, even leaving us a bottle of wine on arrival. Make sure you go de Sasa for a lovely meal overlooking the water, a little out of the tourist chaos. Being on the third floor, the very steep entrance stairs won't suit everyone so just beware of that if you have mobility issues, but the same could be said of all Cefalú which is on a rocky cliff face with lots of hills. This is a simple, clean place with everything in within arm's reach, and all amenities within the flat to cook at home and relax with a book on the terrazino, or take in sunset views. Stupendo!
