Tranquil Valley Home, 4 guests 2 upstairs bedrooms. A walk on Karekare beach is one of the most memorable walks in the country. Some of the local bush and coastal walks are also highly rated. Karekare had some significant flooding in February 2023. There are still some road works being completed. We inform guests about these at the time of the booking. Wonderful special gem. The first thing my son said when we arrived was, “This is the house I’ve always wanted!” Loved the views over beautiful bush and sea. Slept super well up in our little nest above the forest. Lovely bush walk down to the beach. What a unique place away from the hustle of the city.

Such a lovely peaceful place close to city but on the edge of Waitakeres and close to west coast beaches like Piha. We used it as a springboard to theatre in the city, lovely hiking around Arataki visitor centre and a comfortable drive to Piha. Close to many supermarkets. Comfortable and warm. If u like cooking as we do the full kitchen makes that easy. Lovely all round.

Maybe one of the best views in the area, The location is really good. You don't really notice the road because you can't see it and it is below you. You are lined up with the public roadside overview, which also doesn't intrude on the space, it's private, but it means you have an amazing view. indoor outdoor living, I really liked it, but am used to cabin living. It's a bach, a bit quirky. You cook outdoors, which could be challenging if it were raining. Altogether I found it to be a very pleasant place.

What an exquisite and inspiring view of Bethells Beach! The view from the deck was amazing. The cottage was very quiet and peaceful. John was an excellent host. We enjoyed walking the beach and hiking to Lake Waimanu past the huge dunes.
