Holiday rentals with a pool in Platanes, Rethymno

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the villa. The kids had the best time swimming, playing football and tennis, bouncing on the trampoline etc. it was great having so much for them to do at the house so we didn’t have to worry about taking them out when they needed to burn off some energy. This meant the adults could really relax and enjoy their time too. The house is well located, 10-15 minute drive to most places you want to be, supermarket less than 10mins away. Markos was really helpful, met us at the villa when we arrived and gave us loads of recommendations for local restaurants and activities. The place was perfect, we would love to come back!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Villa Despina! Die Lage ist traumhaft ruhig, perfekt zum Entspannen, und gleichzeitig ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um den Süden Kretas zu erkunden. Die Villa selbst ist sehr sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und bestens ausgestattet – von der Küche bis zum schönen Außenbereich mit Pool war alles top gepflegt. Besonders gefallen haben uns die herzliche Gastfreundschaft und die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten bei unserer Ankunft. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt! Ein echtes Highlight: der traumhafte Blick auf die umliegende Natur und die Sonnenuntergänge am Abend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können die Villa Despina jedem empfehlen, der Ruhe, Komfort und kretische Herzlichkeit sucht. Vielen Dank für alles!

Séjour en famille (2 adultes et deux enfants en bas âge) dans le logement de Kostas. Le lieu est spacieux, fraichement rénové avec tous les équipements nécessaires. (Lit de bébé disponible). Le logement est très calme et propre. La terrasse est très agréable (En avril, il faisait trop frais pour profiter de la piscine). Deux tavernes disponibles sur Apostoli. Nous avons préféré celles de Agia Foteni (Sivritos) et Thronos (Aravanes). Rethymno se trouve à 45 min environs. Nombreuses promenades ou randonnées à proximité. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à LotusLand. Nous y retournerions avec plaisir. Très bonne communication avec Kostas qui s’assure su confort de ses hôtes. Le seul point d’amélioration concerne l’accès. La route est en mauvais état et il est difficile de manoeuvrer. Dans la journée, nous nous garions sur la route principale (en contrebas de l’église).

We had a wonderful stay at the villa, starting with a warm welcome on our first night. Antonis’ mother kindly prepared a thoughtful dinner for us, which was especially appreciated since we arrived late and didn’t have time to go out for food. He was also incredibly attentive and made it clear we could reach out to him anytime with questions or needs. Throughout our stay, he provided us with great recommendations on what to see and do in the area, which really enhanced our trip. The villa also featured a lovely outdoor pizza oven, and they generously provided us with pizza dough, firewood, and everything we needed to enjoy it. They even made sure we had everything we needed for a barbecue. Overall, it was a fantastic experience thanks to their hospitality and thoughtful touches.

Christos is een fantastische beheerder en reageert adhoc op situaties. Accomodatie was brandschoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Tijdens ons verblijf werd ook op professionele wijze het zwembad schoongemaakt Geen enkel punt van kritiek.

Nous avons adoré loger à la Casa Vitae. L’emplacement était parfait pour découvrir la magnifique ville de Rethimnon, tous les commerces et restaurants étaient à proximité immédiate, au coeur de la vieille ville. Le logement a bénéficié d’une rénovation superbe, mettant en valeur les vieux éléments, pierres, poutres, mais avec une décoration moderne. Un mélange vraiment très réussi. Le seul bémol était le parking un peu éloigné avec de lourds bagages mais c’était sans regrets tant l’appartement nous a plu et nous espérons y séjourner à nouveau

Bra boende, snäll och hjälpsam värd som alltid fanns tillgänglig för oss. 10 min in till centrala Rethymno på asfalterade vägar. Värden välkomnade oss med matprodukter och vin i kylen. Boendet motsvarar bilderna. Pool och jacuzzi helt privat utan insyn (vilket inte gäller villa daphne strax bredvid oss). Vi är nöjda med allt. Enda minus är att jacuzzin inte var helt ren, vi fick göra rent den själva.

Die Villa ist traumhaft! Sehr großzügige Räume, ein toller Außenbereich mit großem Pool und vielen schönen Sitzgelegenheiten. Auch eine Außenküche mit Bar ist vorhanden. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Jedes der 3 Schlafzimmer ist groß und hat hohe Decken und ein tolles Badezimmer mit allem Komfort. Die Aussicht aus den Zimmern ist wunderschön und der Blick auf das Meer ist traumhaft. Die Sonnenuntergänge sind atemberaubend!

We had a wonderful week staying in Michalis’ apartment. Views from both balconies from Apartment Two were spectacular, panoramic of the Amari Valley and Mount Ida still snow capped in the background. The apartment was immaculate and suited our needs very well. Any additional requests were dealt with swiftly. We mainly catered for ourselves in the morning and had two lovely breakfasts in Michalis’ Taverna. Meronas is a pretty village and enjoyed meals at Taverna’s Alona & Moschovolies. There was great hiking from the doorstep and only a short drive to Patsos Gorge. There is an excellent patisserie and supermarket in Gerikari a short drive away and supermarkets and pharmacy in Agia Fotini, 2.5 km away. We stayed end of April which was great as not too hot to hike but be aware many Taverna’s closed this time of year as off season. Would highly recommend a stay at Michalis’ apartments, another unforgettable holiday for us!

Excelente estadia, com check-in flexível a qualquer e estacionamento. É necessário carro, fica a 10minutos do centro de chania. Piscina impecável, espaço exterior muito bem aproveitado. Interior não é muito grande, mas excelente com todas as comodidades necessárias, ainda com miminhos que os donos deixaram. Sem dúvida recomendo a hospedagem!

Fantastic place. Great views from the sun terrace overlooking the bay, so could sit and watch boats and cruise ships on their way to Chania. Only 5 mins walk down a gentle hill to the beach, shops & restaurants. Felt very private, although there were other apartments there, it is laid out so you are not overlooked. Everything was spotlessly clean on arrival and apartment staff were there every day keeping the pool and surrounding areas clean & tidy. Gas BBQ on the terrace was great. Good choice of restaurants along the beach, as well as a few small supermarkets in the centre. 40 mins drive from the airport and well positioned for visiting Chania (which was beautiful) and exploring the area. We had a thoroughly relaxing stay and have already recommended it to friends, and would definitely stay again. Kreta Eiendom's team were very responsive, when we had a small issue during our stay.

It is amazing wonderful place and Avtwuia is amazing host, the surroundings are outstanding, we would like to come back. Highly recommend

isla luxary Appartement hält was der Name verspricht. Als Familie mit mehren Generationen hatten wir die Pool- Wohnung gemietet, die sehr modern, geschmackvoll, großzügig und komfortabel war. Die großen Schlafzimmer verfügen über gepflegte, saubere Badezimmer mit genügend Handtüchern. Die Betten sind extrem bequem mit regelmäßig gewechselt Bettwäsche. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung größer als sie auf den Fotos wirkt und hat uns damit freudig überrascht. Wir benötigten für unser Baby eine Extra-Austattung, die qualitativ hochwertige war. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich.Der absolute Traum ist der architektonisch perfekt angelegte Aussenbereich mit hochwertigen, bequemen Mobiliar und gepflegten Pflanzen. Die professionelle Reinigung wird früh morgens durchgeführt und der Pool erscheint stets blitzsauber. Bei Fragen und wetterbedingten kleineren Problemen war Stamatis schnell und sachkundig zur Stelle, so dass wir uns stets gut aufgehoben fühlten. Ein besonderer Urlaub in besonderem Ambiente!

Η εμπειρία μας στο Doukas White Haven ήταν πραγματικά υπέροχη! Από την πρώτη στιγμή, η φιλοξενία ήταν μοναδική — οι οικοδεσπότες ήταν ζεστοί, ευγενικοί και πάντα πρόθυμοι να μας βοηθήσουν με οτιδήποτε χρειαστήκαμε. Μας καλωσόρισαν με ένα χαμόγελο και μας έκαναν να νιώσουμε σαν στο σπίτι μας. Το διαμέρισμα ήταν πεντακάθαρο, πολύ περιποιημένο και διακοσμημένο με γούστο. Είχε όλες τις ανέσεις που χρειαζόμασταν για άνετη διαμονή και ακόμα περισσότερα. Η ιδιωτική πισίνα ήταν πραγματικό διαμάντι — καθαρή και ιδανική για χαλάρωση μετά από μια μέρα στην πόλη ή στην παραλία. Η τοποθεσία είναι εξαιρετική, κοντά στο Ρέθυμνο αλλά και αρκετά ήσυχη για να ξεκουραστεί κανείς. Ιδανικό μέρος για οικογένειες, ζευγάρια ή ακόμα και για εργασία από απόσταση. Σίγουρα θα το ξαναεπισκεφθούμε και το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα σε όποιον θέλει μια αξέχαστη διαμονή στην Κρήτη!

Die Gastgeberin Despina ist eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, die sehr schnell antwortet und sich um alles sofort kümmert. Die Wohnung ist groß und sauber und verfügt im Wohnzimmer und den beiden Schlafzimmern über eine Klimaanlage. Wir können diese Unterkunft absolut empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder dort Ferien machen.

We had a wonderful stay at Alexandros’s place! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The villa itself was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable, but the real highlight was the stunning outdoor space and private pool – we truly didn’t want to leave. Alexandros was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even leaving us a selection of delicious local treats. We had everything we needed and more. The location is peaceful and offers a beautiful sea view thanks to its position on a hill – it feels like a little slice of paradise. It’s just a short drive to the charming town of Rethymno, which has plenty of great places to eat, shop, and explore. There are also supermarkets nearby if you’d rather cook and enjoy meals at the lovely villa. Do note that you’ll definitely need a car, as the villa is a bit uphill and not walkable from town – but the view and tranquility are well worth it. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Great week spent just relaxing and had everything we needed. Pool was a great relief to the heat and visiting the local supermarket meant we cooked several times int he bbq and had breakfast looking over the views. Communication was great through out with some good recommendations. Loved that we had a mid week set of new towels / sheets and rubbish removed. It was just what we wanted - relaxed in a lovely location close to amenities . Thank you x

Die Ferienwohnung war topp, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Gute Lage zwischen Flughafen und Chania. Besonders hervorheben möchte aber die sehr gute Kommunikation und Lösungsorientierung mit Effie. Ich hatte die Ferienwohnung für unsere Tochter (war damals noch 17 Jahre alt) und ihr Freunde gemietet. Effie war von Anfang an offen für diese Buchung und hat alles sehr positiv unterstützt. Sie war immer sehr schnell erreichbar und hat uns immer das Gefühl von Sicherheit gegeben. Als unserer Tochter wieder Zuhause war, hatte sie nur Gutes und Wertschätzendes zu der gesamten Reise geäußert. Effie war auch mehrfach in der Ferienwohnung und hat wertvolle Infos und Tipps mitgeteilt. Es war einfach alles nur sehr schön. Lieben Dank Effie!!

Lily ist eine wunderbar warmherzige Person, die uns vom ersten Augenblick begeistert hat. Wir wurden super mit Tipps und kulinarischen Leckereien versorgt. Das Cottage und der Garten war sehr schön. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft zu 100%.

This apartment is large , beautiful, amazing design and decor . Exactly as seen in the pictures. The hosts were amazing people, kind and helpful. Highly recommend this place . You can’t go wrong. Thank you for making our trip amazing.

The best villa there is. Host were very very accommodating and kind, once of the best people you’ll meet. They gave us a welcoming meal and it was delicious beyond words. We will definitely highly recommend and come back in the future. Thank you again for the great stay. ❤️

We had such a lovely stay at Manolis’ house. Our family of 7 (incliding a 2 & 5 year old & my 75 yo mom) all loved our visit. Manolis met us and gave us such a warm welcome with so many local tips and recommendations. It was even more beautiful then the photos and full od beautiful family heirlooms. The village of Amari is beautiful and peaceful and the villa is perfectly located in the middle of the village right next to the taverna. The views are amazing, the pool an numerous patios are gorgeous with stunning views and it is so peaceful and private. There were so many lovely complementary foods from the local vendors on arrival which made us feel right at home. Rumy cooked us the most amazing meals we had in the region that were so incredibly delicious! Do not miss her meals! She modified multiple dishes for our dietary restrictions. She is truly a masterful chef and such a wonderfully warm person. Our kids loved the home, pool, outdoor cats & Rumy! Everyone was so kid friendly!

We had a great stay in Crete in Atsipopoulo. The location is really great - since Atsipopulo is near the middle of the island, it's just about 1 hour to either Heraklion or Chania. It's also quick to get to the south side of Crete. We rented a car and were able to find parking near by consistently during our stay in May. We were told by other guests that the bus to Rethymo was easy but we don't have personal experience with this. Within walking distance is a grocery store, several restaurants and bakeries. The restaurants are mostly fast food, but just up the road are some great tavernas. Manolis is a great host and responded to all of our questions. Our room was cleaned weekly. We enjoyed our room very much, but what really made us love our stay was all of the common spaces. The rooftop was our favorite place to relax as well as get some work done. There are also friendly cats, which was a huge plus for us.

Great place. Only complaint, which is not a reflection necessarily on the place, was that Airbnb’s directions to the place was inaccurate. The villa is listed on google maps - that location is accurate.
