Cottage holiday rentals in Pleasure Island

Our family loved this house and location - plenty of room, easy walk to the beach, tennis courts out back, friendly neighbors, easy access to restaurants and stores. Jim was responded quickly when we asked for help with supplies. The spring pollen factor was high - so be ready! We washed the decks and chairs and that improved things. We will return!

I absolutely adore this cute little beach house. It was a perfect best friend get away. I felt like I was staging in a beach cottage straight off hgtv. My only suggestion is a full length mirror for the females! Definitely would stay here again.

I have booked multiple Air BnB’s this by far has been the best experience. The home was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The snacks were an added bonus and perfectly picked! If you are considering booking this DO IT! Board games and books are available. Kristy has equipped that house with exactly what you need to enjoy time as a couple or with children.

This was an absolutely perfect Topsail vacation home! We loved every minute of our stay. The location is absolutely fantastic. So close to the little local shops and restaurants as well as super close to the bridge going over to the mainland.. The house itself was spotless and quite comfortable. Had everything we needed to cook full meals. Plenty of kitchenware for our group of seven. Proximity to the beach is by far the most fantastic detail of this house! The little private sandy beach *yard* attached to the deck is awesome for kids and the beach itself just down a few steps is so amazing. We could even sit in bed and see the ocean waves! This is the best house with beach access and views we've stayed at in Topsail. Also positive to note, the entire property being fenced in felt incredibly safe for kids and was fantastic for our dog. We realized the apartment was a part of the rental unit and we were so pleasantly surprised! It was a great separate space! Overall highly recommend!

Upon arrival I imagined the house being a cute cottage near the beach. However the house is designed very open and felt really big! It also has a huge backyard, so you could bring a pet. The house is maybe a 3 minute walk to the beach and is on a very quiet street. Angela is a phenomenal host who was able to accommodate us for some technical errors that occurred at the house. I will definitely plan my next stay here if the house is available.

Incredibly friendly and courteous host, who included not only the basic amenities, but coffee/tea, body wash/shampoo, water filtration pitcher, and herbs/spices. Our host kept in contact throughout the stay with helpful info about the location. Great location, within walking distance of historic houses, museums, shops, and the river, but in an easily accessible area with very light vehicle traffic. A short drive from Wal-Mart, the ocean, the boardwalk, as well as just about any kind of restaurant you could think of.

My husband, son, daughter-in-law, and two family dogs had a wonderful weekend stay! The back garden area was perfect for our furry family members, and we felt very secure letting them out to explore. The home itself is lovely and filled with beautiful artwork. You can tell this is a space where tons of beautiful memories have been made. There is lots of space and light inside from both windows and skylights. The location is very close to the main oceanfront street and public beach access areas as well as to town. We loved the screened in back porch as well…perfect for early morning coffee and quiet reflection. The owner was wonderful with communication. We would definitely return to this location and highly recommend for dog owners.

Delaney was a great host and we would love to stay at her beautiful house again!!! You can’t beat the location and everything could not have gone better.

Mickell was a wonderful host! I booked super last minute with kiddo and service dog in tow. She accommodated us with no trouble! Place was wonderful, beautiful and quiet area, easy access for myself and kiddo, fenced yard, and lots of towels and such ready for us! Absolutely recommend for a great beach stay!!

The house was clean and inviting. Enough room for my whole family and dog. Alot of extra things that was there that I did not have to worry about buying, like beach towels, other beach stuff, cleaning products, dog bowls etc. Backyard was perfect for my dog, I did not have to worry about letting her out and getting out. I would definitely stay again if back in Wilmington.

If you are looking for a very clean, well kept, fully stocked and cozy home, then this is the place that you need to book. Jenn is a wonderful host and her communication is very timely. There was a storm the week of our stay that ended up putting us one day behind due to flooding. Jenn was very accommodating and quickly refunded one night for us. She could not get to the house to clean due to flooding but asked a friend to assist. We were able to get to the house the very next day and start our vacation. The house is stocked with extra beach chairs, bikes, an outdoor grill, toiletries and any kitchen item that you may need. Jenn was thoughtful enough to have bottled water in the fridge incase you had a long trip. There is plenty of comfortable outdoor seating on the patio. Under the house she has swings where you can enjoy the beach weather and beautiful views of the marsh. Our family has already planned on coming back again next year. The cottage was very cute and inviting. We arrived pretty late, but with clear instructions, it was a breeze getting inside. It was very nice having a tranquil walkway that had lights that light up as you walk up. The lights were on inside which was nice for us arriving late. The bed and linens were nice and soft. The amphitheater is just a short stroll away and the lake across the street was beautiful to walk. The host was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything about our stay felt easy and stress-free, which is exactly what I hoped for. We made some great memories here, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway. We’re already talking about coming back with my little girl!!

The Kure Cottages are great! We have stayed here twice now and each time the cottage has been very clean (especially being a beach cottage, sand was nowhere to be found). We love the proximity to the beach and to the restaurants. Jack Mackerels, the burger stand and Ocean View are our favorites. Being able to walk to the beach, have the pool on site, and then run to lunch, just in time to come back for a nap is great (we have a toddler). The cottages are great for families and non families. We will definitely come back. The team was very accommodating the entire stay.

This was our 1st experience in an Airbnb. Due to a water pipe break at our house it became our "Home away from home" for 3 mos. A definite 5+ rating. We celebrated the end of winter & beginning of spring & summer with different flowers arriving as the seasons changed. Gorgeous azaleas, irises, gladiolas, etc. banana plants all coming back to life. The cottage is very clean & inviting. The kitchen is well supplied, the beds are very comfortable, the front & backyard well kept & perfect for our 15 yr. old dog. There are beach toys, floats, beach chairs etc, for beach enjoyment. Our hosts, Jonny and Britt, added so many extra touches to make one’s stay special. They are superb hosts, gracious, attentive, & caring, with a great sense of humor, and "Jonny" on the spot when a need arises. We would recommend 114 Hawthorne to anyone for a relaxing get away to enjoy all Historic Wilmington & the Beaches have to offer. Thanks Jonny & Britt for everything! It couldn't have been better.

We loved our week at Blue Turtle Cottage! It’s bright, clean and charming. Just a short walk to the beach. Leslie and Kay were lovely hosts. We’d definitely come back if our plans bring us to OKI. The king bed is super comfy!. Thanks for hosting us! 💙🐢

Joe's place was everything we needed. Being so close to the beach made it easy to walk there multiple times a day. His house was clean and had everything we needed. We brought our two dogs and the fenced in back yard made it easy to let them out and have a place to go. I really appreciated the water hose, which we used everyday to wash off our dogs after the beach, as well as the outdoor shower for us. I would definitely recommend Joes place for anyone looking for a cute place to stay within walking distance to the beach.
