Family-friendly holiday rentals in Pleasure Island

The beach house was clean and nicely furnished. We had ample room for seven adults. It could comfortably sleep 9 people since the day bed was large enough for an adult in the alcove area. We were disappointed that the bicycles and the kayaks at the house were locked and we could not use them. But we enjoyed the sound with the beautiful sunsets and the beach was a short walk from the house. All in all a great house and vacation!

Location is fantastic. Right on the beach. Wonderful view from the porch. Our family had a great stay. The condo is a little dated but for the location doesn’t matter all that much.

I had an amazing stay at this beach rental house! The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of fun in the sun. The house was spotless and well-maintained, which made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The host was exceptionally responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, from check-in to check-out. We appreciated the thoughtful initial items provided, which made settling in so easy. The location couldn't have been better—just a short walk to the beach and close to great restaurants, making it so convenient to enjoy everything the area has to offer. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic beach getaway!

We are in the restaurant business and love to cook! The kitchen is the best part of the house! Fully equipped, better than any homes we have rented! The location is fabulous. Seconds from campus which was key because we were visiting our daughter who goes to UNCW… Thanks again for a wonderful trip to Wilmington.

We had a great overnight stay at April’s. The place was as described and perfect for my family of 4. The girls especially enjoyed the bunk beds and Jenga. The main bed was comfortable and I appreciated the small touches like extra shampoo and conditioner. The location is an easy drive to the beach or downtown. The self Check-in was very simple. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was so nice and Andrea was very responsive and respectful! Any concern that she has was quickly brought to my attention and dealt with. She was very kind about everything and my group had the best time!

Tim’s place was exactly what I needed and I felt very fortunate to be able to get some dates there in June because it is beach time. I was able to enjoy Wilmington with my daughter and relax with my dog which was everything I was looking and hoping for! My dog Max also give’s Tim’s place a great rating! He felt at home right away! Time was present, neighborly and very responsive. I am hoping to go back in December!

Small 3BR 2BA home on a quiet street. Everything was clean and worked. The best part is the location. The museums, waterfront park, and most of the stores, restaurants, and coffee shops are within a few blocks of the home. Other than one trip to Walmart, we walked everywhere.

Was just the peaceful getaway that we all needed. I came down with my daughters and was my grand daughters first beach trip and we were not disappointed, highly recommend

What a unique place to stay. Beautiful place and beautiful property. Located in the suburbs, but with the feeling of being smack in the middle of a woods. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch listening to the frogs in the evening. The place was clean, well stocked, had a comfortable bed and was more than we expected. Would definitely consider staying there again!

Donovan’s Reef was the perfect house for our yearly mother daughter trip. We enjoyed how close to the beach we were and the beach access points, loved the outside shower to rinse off before going inside, kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy! Check in and out was easy and Holly was super prompt with responding!

This was our first Airbnb experience since selling our timeshare last year. Andres & Emily made everything easy! Great check in and check out instructions. The condo was very clean, with all of the amenities they listed in their description. The bed was clean and comfortable and the living room was nicely decorated with a couch, coffee table and television. Highly recommend eating at Island Burger and Pops Diner, which are nearby. The boardwalk was only 2 blocks over. I also found a beautiful starfish necklace (I've been looking for a nice one for awhile) at a boutique called Salty Chic...very cool store located in the Publix shopping center. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would also highly recommend Andres And Emily's condo, especially for a couple.

Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing and peaceful. Location was perfect Easy beach access and beautiful view!! Definitely coming back!

We had a great week long vacation! The pool was a hit with the kids, the house was clean and big enough for the two families who vacationed together. Diana was wonderful and responsive. I would absolutely stay again!

David and Kris were terrific hosts! They went out of their way to keep us informed of fun events happening around the island, which we greatly appreciated as it was our first time to BHI. The unit is just as pictured and beautifully renovated. Kitchen is expertly organized and has full array of cookware. The location is central on the island, making it a quick ride to the market, beach, club, etc. The surrounding live oaks and foliage are beautiful. I would definitely recommend! We will be back.

Our group of 8 had a lovely stay. The kitchen and living spaces were open, comfortable, and a great place to hang out esp. for a large group. The beds were comfortable, and the area surrounding the house was walkable and had relaxing nature. There were a couple hiccups we ran into such as the golf carts dying at 40% or the shower head light in the master being out. Other than that, our family had a fantastic stay at Scott’s place and recommend it for your trip to Bald Head!

wonderful house for our large extended family 1 block from the beach. fun "children's room" downstairs for the cousins to stay in and a nice view of the beach from the upstairs living area. plenty of supplies in the kitchen to cook meals in and great recommendations of local restaurants when we wanted to go out.

5 Star stay for long weekend. Pictures display a truly classy comfy townhouse that smells lovely and has everything you need. Bedrooms are spacious and linens are very comfortable. Perfect home with perfect location to beaches, restaurants, and shopping. Easy and clear instructions for check in and check out. Thank you John and Katie for our enjoyable experience. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend.

For being a last minute trip to Wrightsville beach, Matthew made it easy with his excellent communication and instructions. The place is centrally located, an easy walk to coffee, restaurants and bars. The views of the beach/ocean are perfect and the condo was very clean. If you are looking for a place to stay in Wrightsville I'd recommed staying at Matthew's place.
