Holiday rentals with a patio in Polk County

This is our second stay at David's studio apartment, and it never disappoints. It is the perfect location for anyone competing at the Foothills Equestrian and Nature Center (FENCE) which holds lots of horse shows (I'm hesitant to say this in case others book it before I can next time!). It is also easy to get in and out of for people with mobility issues (using a walker) - just one small step up from the driveway, otherwise smooth. I only wish I could have tried out some of David's local recommendations for places to see and restaurants - maybe we'll just have to come back for a non-horse-show visit sometime.

Absolutely one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The location is spectacularly quiet, peaceful, and incredibly private—with sweeping sunrise views across the valley that made every morning feel magical. The private deck was perfect for coffee at dawn, and I especially loved the designated bear-watch area (complete with their very own “bear pool”—such a fun and unique touch!). The home itself is beautifully and comfortably decorated, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, making it easy to cook and feel right at home. On top of it all, Deanna was super responsive and made everything seamless from start to finish. Can’t recommend this place enough—an unforgettable retreat!

Absolutely loved this place! I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnbs that feel like they were renovated as cheaply and quickly as possible. That is absolutely not the case here. Everything felt thoughtful and intentional. It’s absolutely gorgeous, I don’t feel like the photos did it justice. The area is great as well. West Asheville is one of our favorite parts of town so the location was perfect. Highly recommend staying with Katlin!

Nicely furnished and good location for my visit. Her guidebook had good information about restaurants in the area. Neighborhood was very quiet.

Perfect little spot in West Asheville, close to all the bars and restaurants. The covered patio hot tub is a real bonus feature. Greatly enjoyed our stay here at this property.

Overall a really beautiful and peaceful spot that checked all the boxes for what I needed for the week. Super comfy and cozy. Had a really lovely stay, and Paul was super responsive. Definitely will be looking to book here again when I return to the area in the future!

My wife and i felt so comfortable and at home. We love the quiet setting and the animals. Sunrises on the farm are breathtaking. I really enjoyed learning and helping on the farm with the cows and seeing how the cheese is made. If ever I’m back in the area, I will definitely stay there or at least stop in for an ice cream, some cheese and to say hello.

Really enjoyed our stay at Reece's place. she was quick to respond with about questions we had. We were in town for a horse show and this was a perfect location. Gas station and feed store just around the corner. House was very clean and had a great back yard for sitting and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

We were looking for a place to stay for our wedding weekend and this was near our venue. It was the perfect place to get ready in, and was very relaxing for us!

This is a wonderful house and stay. It is so spacious and well-done, beautifully decorated and the amenities are very generous and thoughtful. The house was spotlessly clean. Thomas is an excellent host, so thoughtful and responsive. You can tell we loved being here. It's very unique and special, with great views and features. Highly recommended!

Hillary’s home was so incredibly peaceful. We had a wonderful time at Lakeview and especially enjoyed the fun games that are available at the house! I brought my 2 dogs and they loved going on long walks through the mountain. I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return!!

My stay in that place was very pleasant

Enchanting! Suzanne's place is thoughtfully curated, the design is gorgeous and the space nourishing. She was a lovely, friendly and communicative host. The land and the home are an oasis for the spirit. You will truly feel connected to nature from her horses, to her dog and cats, to the deer that visit, it was magical. The best part, it was pet friendly and my dog loved it here too, he felt right at home and we learned the town is dog friendly too. There is much to do nearby at a leisurely pace, we visited Looking Glass Creamery, Stone Soup (Suzanne's restaurant, yum!) and Shunkawauken Falls (a waterfall that can be conveniently seen driving by). The best part, coming home to enjoy a walk, offer a carrot to the horses, swim in the pool and just take in the fresh air. We hope to be back soon, a delightful time.

This lake house is absolutely beautiful! There were a few minor inconveniences at first but the hosts got right to it & fix them. BATHROOMS: Extremely clean, down stairs shower has a normal shower head & a rain shower that you can kinda use at the same time but the water pressure isn’t very strong. BEDROOM: spacious, comfy bedding, lots of blankets, remote controlled ceiling fan, black out curtains, smart tv. KITCHEN: lots of counter space, nice stovetop & oven, air fryer, coffee bar was awesome, & a full pantry with all items you might need like a blender, hand mixer, and a crockpot. LIVING ROOM: smart tv was great to watch movies on & the leather couches were nice to take some mid day naps. OUTSIDE: the deck & grill were great to make dinner & eat outside, down back the hot tub & fire pit were awesome to watch late night movies at. THE DOCK: the walk up & down the hill is not for the faint of heart thankfully the hosts are working to put in steps or a path down. We had a great time!?

PEACE! That’s what I experienced most at this charming house. It was pristinely clean, plush towels and bedding, and so nicely decorated. I sat on the porch multiple times and just had such a nice relaxing peaceful time. The owners are wonderful people and so friendly and easy to work with. I’m definitely going to become a repeat customer!

Nice place. Would stay again. Can’t wait for the area to recover. But while they are working hard there is still a lot to enjoy!

Very cute condo. Resort access was nice to have as there is not much to do but n the area without driving 30-40mins. But with the resort access, you have several pools, a beach, and lots of other things that will keep you busy. The condo is a good size for two people. The added perk of being able to bring our dog was nice. The kitchen is limited- small air fryer and stove top with minimal container options for putting things in the microwave, but we were able to make it work since we were only there a few days. There is a Keurig with coffee pods, which was nice. Overall, the place is clean, dog friendly, with nice access to a resort.

Had a very nice and relaxing stay. Alicia was great and checked on us. Home was in very nice condition and had everything we needed. Would recommend to anyone!

Tanja’s garden cottage was nothing short of amazing! She reached out with check in instructions well before my time to check in and even reached out to make sure I got in ok. The cottage was about 10 minutes from town which was nice. Her instructions on how things worked were very helpful and she even left some snacks out for me to have. The bed was also very comfy!

It is rare an Airbnb is even better than the photos but Derek and Misty's place was just that. No matter how much time you are planning to spend at the condo it is equipped with everything you could need and more. I have been coming to Lake Lure for over 10+ years and highly recommend their condo if you are coming with 2-3 people. It is also very pet-friendly. Hoping to be back soon!

Donna was quite proactive in reaching out to us before and during our stay. She is personable and kind.

Great place to stay. The lake was still not back up and running due to a natural disaster but that did not stop us from enjoying the pools and outdoor activities!
