Cottage holiday rentals in Port Carling

I could not recommend this cottage more, and I will definitely be back. It was very easy to locate and there is plenty of parking on the driveway. Inside the cottage, we found an extremely well stocked kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean. Outside of the cottage, we spent most of the time on the beautiful, new dock overlooking Sparrow Lake. There were plenty of water sport toys available for us to use, the water was shallow and perfect for swimming, and we enjoyed seeing all of the float planes coming and going to the lake. In the evening, we spent time on the upper back deck overlooking the lake, where there was the bbq and hot tub. We felt right at home and cozy; I just wish I could have stayed longer! I brought along my dog who was very pleased to find cookies and a toy provided by the host. Thank you so much for hosting us and we plan to return next year! :)

This is a beautiful place to stay, right on the lake with an amazing view, and a friendly beaver right next door! Our highlights were the hot tub, the fire pit and kayaking on the lake. This spot would be amazing in the Summer. The house is clean and well set up, the 2 downstairs bedrooms are small but just fine for sleeping. There is plenty of room in the rest of the house.

Great cozy cottage with a private lake entrance. Miles was a great host. Hot tub & sauna were very enjoyable and overall the place was great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aliya’s cottage. The place was exactly as described and pictured, all amenities were available and functioning as described. The place is spacious, furnished with high quality furniture, I wouldn’t hesitate to book Aliya’s cottage again. Aliya was also a great host, very thorough and timely communication!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage in the woods! It was clean, spacious, and incredibly peaceful — the perfect nature escape. The hot tub was amazing, and the game room was such a fun bonus. We also loved how cozy and comfortable the beds were, and the living room and big kitchen made it easy to relax and enjoy meals together. Just a heads-up: there are quite a few mosquitos, so be sure to bring some bug spray. Other than that, everything was perfect. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature!

Chorong was a great host! Leading up to our stay she was extremely responsive as I had a lot of questions! The house itself was stunning. Clearly it is taken care of and maintained very well. All of the beds were so comfortable. Outdoor area was a lovely space. Would definitely like to come back in the winter as I am sure the scenery is beautiful.

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at this cottage. The lakefront property is beautiful, clean, and our favourite part was watching the gorgeous sunsets that could been seen from the terrace as well as from inside. Jesse was easy to reach and made sure that everything ran smoothly and that we were having a good stay.

My friends and I stayed here for a winter weekend away and it was just what we needed/wanted in a little cottage. Great location for those coming from the GTA and nice and close for those in Simcoe. Once we got there we felt right at home! The hosts had cleared the walking paths and back deck of any recent snow fall which made it nice and easy to get inside and enjoy the grounds. They went above and beyond by having the wood burning stove going for us when we checked in which made CARL that much more cozy and welcoming. Communication and instructions were very clear and detailed from start to finish which made the whole rental process easy and enjoyable. My friends and I look forward to coming back to CARL in the future!

This cottage is perfection. Liane & James are just SO lovely. If you're reading this, don't look any further. Just book it. We couldn't have had a better week at Follie's Cove. The cottage was the perfect mix of modern and rustic. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. We felt at home instantly. The sunroom was the perfect chill spot for us and our two big dogs to get out of the sun/rain without feeling cooped up indoors. The beach was heaven for our dogs, and on a quiet end of the lake, so we saw few other people all week. The quintessential Muskoka experience! Liane and James were *beyond* wonderful. They set us up with a ton of breakfast food and desserts. Even offered to return the day after check-in to drop off more coffee. It truly felt like renting from friends. Highly recommend renting the pontoon boat from them and puttering around the lake. Wish I had more space to gush about the space and their incredible hospitality. We would book again in a heartbeat!

Susan is a great host, very responsive and accommodating. The home was fully equipped with everything you would find in your own home, as well everything was clean. Beautiful sunsets on the dock on a peaceful lake. Highly recommend renting the extra kayak and SUP boards.

We had a wonderful stay at Ke/Shannon’s place—it was peaceful, clean, and perfect for our group of five. The home included all the listed amenities, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of snacks left for us on arrival. Shannon was incredibly responsive, answering our questions almost immediately. The view of the lake is beautiful, and the private dock was a great spot to relax outdoors. While the lake is quite weedy for swimming or fishing, the provided kayaks are a nice option to explore the water. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely spot on the water, nice and shallow for the kids. Great location close to shops. The kids had a blast on the trampoline. Being able to use the kayaks was also perfect. Thanks for a great stay with our family!

Beautiful spot with all the amenities. Feels private and secluded yet only a 10 minute drive from downtown Huntsville. James was super accommodating and responsive to our needs, would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance!

We booked this cottage on a whim with virtually no notice to the owner who was flexible with our check-in making it worth our 1 night stay. The cottage is so spacious with lots of room to lounge, eat and sleep. It was clean and comfortable. The waterfront is the real MVP here - pristine water, pure sand, great doc and decks.

The cottage was in a great location! We enjoyed the peaceful environment and privacy! There are many hiking trails within in a short drive from the cottage, and Hilary described them in detail which was so helpful for us! We had a lovely stay at the Bunkie on Brandy, and especially enjoyed the view of the night sky from the clearing just behind the cottage!

One of my favourite Airbnb cottages! The space is perfect for a family (lots of kid focused things) or for a few friends. The property is beautiful, has great amenities like the sauna and water toys. The beds are very comfy and kitchen had anything you could need. All in all this was one of the best experience I’ve had. The host was super lovely, and you can tell they’ve put a lot of thought and care into creating a great experience for their guests.

Really cute, clean and comfortable stay in Bala far enough away to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to walk to town/The Kee etc. Easy check in, super easy communication with host. Nice details like board games, dog bed, kayaks. We would absolutely stay again.

It was amazing to stay. Lissa was very kind, responsive. The place was very clean, very cozy. It has everything you need. It was my best experience so far. Lissa’s dogs are really nice and cute, they welcomed us friendly. I strongly recommend for small group!

We really enjoyed our stay at Muskoka Cabana. The location is stunning, right at the water's edge with beautiful, peaceful views of the lake. The outside deck is amazing and really spacious. We did feel that the access was a bit tricky, but I guess the location compensated for that. The cabana itself is really tastefully done, with beautiful homey touches and the kitchen was well equipped. Overall, this was a great stay.

What a glorious setting! Peaceful location with nature all around. We didn’t see or hear any neighbours - utter tranquility compared to our usual hectic schedule/ semi-urban surroundings. The house was easy to find with clear instructions; there were thoughtful additions such as a full log basket, plenty of loo roll, laundry detergent, basic cooking supplies like oil/ seasonings and extra towels were available if required. Clearly a lot of thought had gone into making it homely. Host was responsive and helpful with recommendations and instructions - even maps of the best canoeing spots! We had a very peaceful stay and teenage kids loved it - even though it was autumn, we still enjoyed the lake, swam, hiked, went canoeing, and toasted marshmallows in the fire pit. If you’re looking for a city rush with lots of buzz, look elsewhere; for peace, beauty and the outdoors immediately available, this is a great spot!

We had a wonderful stay here. It was super easy to get to, very smooth check-in and check-out process and the place itself was done so tastefully. We felt so cozy, the space was bright warm and welcoming with lots of natural lighting and the perfect theme/ambience. Also the lake access is great, we loved getting out on the water and the lake was not crowded at all and extremely clean! I would absolutely recommend. Stephanie and John were also super responsive and took care of any of our needs. We can't wait to be back!

This place is amazing. Second year in a row visiting Muskoka and staying at Ashley’s place. We have a young children and this place is very family friendly: life vests, high chair, bunk beds, games, outdoor activities. It’s the perfect location, walking distance to Port Carling with such great shops. A must stay if you’re in the area.

We really loved our time here! It’s such a cute little get away spot. Very peaceful. The host was so nice and communicative. We had all the cooking utensils we needed. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet peaceful retreat.
