This modern, luxurious cottage is truly special. It is located in the Tawnawully mountains by Lough Eske. It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.

Marina’s place has a beautiful view of the water and a private beach you can access down a walking path. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs and the place is spacious and very clean. We appreciated the local crisps, homemade cake & milk upon arrival. Marina is a lovely host and even offered to dry our clothes in her home after we were caught in a rainstorm the day before we were leaving. It is only 5 minutes from a market and town making it easy to grab a bite to eat. It is about 30 minutes from Slieve League and I believe it was about the same to Donegal. It is only 10 minutes from the secret waterfall. We found it to be a great location for exploring the Slieve League area and it is a great location if you plan to head north toward Ardara as well.

Our stay at Peter's made my "Irish cottage with a view" dreams come true! the directions to get there were excellent. Getting in was easy. the cottage was warm and welcoming. Peter provided excellent tips for outings and day trips. You can go out on adventures or just hang out, relax and enjoy the view!

Laura’s house was the perfect place to stay in County Donegal…close to the ocean, close to shops but even more so, her house was lovely and well appointed. It even had helpful touches for an American like wash cloths and top sheets! The views out to the bay were magnificent and the surroundings were peaceful. The house is a great size for a group of friends or family and had everything we needed plus. Laura was a very responsive hostess and supplied helpful info about the house and area. I would love to come back to stay in this house the next time I’m in Ireland.
