Monthly Rentals in Raffin

Fantastic location overlooking the bay, with the most spectacular scenery and views to the mountains. Shona was a very responsive, accomodating and friendly host. The cottage was so homely, clean and peaceful, we didn't want to leave. We were even spoilt with warm and sunny weather in October and had a very close encounter with a pod of common dolphins on a boat tour with North Coast Sea Tours from Lochinver harbour. We enjoyed walks in Culag Woods down to the sea and up onto the moors on the Little Assynt Estate with more stunning views of the mountains as well as a lovely walk over to Ardvreck Castle on Loch Assynt. We saw many dragonfiles, lots of birdlife, including birds of prey and stonechat by the cottage and lots of mosses and lichens in the woodlands giving an otherworldy feel. Enjoyed learning about the geology of the area at Knockan Crag on route to the cottage too. A very special couple of days that we won't forget. The highlight of our holiday in the highlands of Scotland.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay! We absolutely loved the Cow Shed and were very sad to leave. An amazing view to wake up to, we loved all the bird calls you could hear from the deck. Very clean and very comfortable. Good walks near by and Lochinver not too far away. Very handy to have a washing machine available to use as well. A perfect place to relax in as well as a good base to explore the area.

A lovely place to stay either foe a few nights touring the NC500 or longer to explore more. Its comfortable, warm, spotless and well equipped. Jacqui was very responsive and the instructions for check in and check out very clear. We stayed around the area walking and beach hopping. Enjoyed Stoer Lighthouse and the walk to the Old Man plus Clashnessie waterfall and beach. Would love to visit again

We loved our stay at Karen's place! The pod was apparently wider than a usual one, affording quite a bit of space in the center. We had a sofa, full kitchen area, small but workable bathroom, and a very nice bed. In addition to that, we had a spectacular view! The 10+ miles of single track road were a bit daunting, and in fact contributed to our choice to stay "home" more than we might have expected, but absolutely well worth the drive. Karen and her husband were delightful and always helpful. We would definitely return here again and I can recommend it very highly.
