My wife & I enjoyed our overnight stay at Brown & Hawkins #8. Very cool history. The location can't be beat. Had a great view of Mt Marathon out the bedroom window. Place was very clean. Definitely recommend!

This was in a great location… very walkable to restaurants and the waterfront. The deck was nice to sit out on and the bed and couch were very comfortable. Be aware that there are no blackout curtains in the windows so sleeping was tough with the amount of daylight at night.

Had an absolute great day at this place I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Seward! Such a cute and quaint bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom area. Everything was super clean and comfortable, and the host was always very responsive. Thank you so much Ristine! looking forward to coming back again soon in the summer :)

Seamless check-in and help with any questions I had the whole stay! I work in housekeeping and always have a few little quirks or missed things I find typically out of habit, and I will say I have no remarks other than SUPER clean and well maintained. Definitely a more rustic stay in the historical building in that you can hear some foot traffic from other guests coming in and out and out late at the bars. This did not bother us at all, we slept with all windows open every night and enjoyed hearing the “background noise” and hustle and bustle, but something to mention for those that need dead silence. Absolutely loved this place and the ability to have a pretty uninhibited view of the mountain ranges and a short walk to the park downtown for an even better one, as well as perfectly placed in town to be in walking distance of restaurants and the Sealife Center. Absolutely my favorite place I’ve ever rented! Thank you!

The host was responsive, helpful, detailed, and clear in her communication. We were pleasently surprised that it was able to accomidate our family (with children) and another family (with children) very comfortably. The layout of the house is long and narrow. The heaters do a good job in the main living areas. The kitchen was nice. There was plenty of bedding and towels. Her checking-out requests were easy to accomidate.

Great location, good water pressure in the showers; beds were firm. Each suite can be rented out separately, with two rooms upstairs sharing a bathroom and each bottom floor suite with a private bath. Just keep in mind that there is no living room to congregate in if you rent the entire space, but there's an airy, open kitchen/dining area with a great view to hang out in. Many good restaurants are walking distance, a great coffee shop across the way, and the boat docks about a 20 minute walk away.

Great place to stay! We enjoyed the feel of the house - felt right at home. It had everything we needed and it was conveniently located near all of the adventures we went on. The place lives up to its name - we saw five Bald Eagles flying around one evening and there is a nest that you can see not far from the front of the house. Ristine was a great host and we highly recommend if you are staying in Seward.

The code to enter the house wasn’t set up but luckily a gardener was able to reset the code for us and the host was responsive during this issue. Great stay in a beautiful location—walkable to downtown/stores. We enjoyed our stay.

The house feels super big and spacious. 7 of us were super comfortable, and easy access to all things Seward!
