Family-friendly holiday rentals in Rethimnon

My boyfriend and I stayed at the property for 5 days and were very please with our stay. The apartment is on the first floor of a beautiful modern house. The apartment was very well equipped, there was nothing missing. Highlighted is the beautiful terrace with Jacuzzi. The location is great. It is about a 15-minute drive to the center of Chania. Several beaches are within walking distance. The house itself is quietly located. It offers a good starting point for exploring Crete. Katerina and her husband are great hosts. Upon arrival, a fresh Greek salad, oranges and wine awaited us. We got fresh vegetables from the garden a few days later. Katerina was always available and very friendly. We felt very comfortable. Overall we would recommend the accommodation! 5/5 stars!

It was super nice here. We were warmly welcomed and communication went smoothly. The place is as pictured. You're a bit up the mountain, which is super nice because it's much quieter there. The city and the beach are within walking distance. We were very satisfied.

Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! Our stay in Chania was wonderful. The apartment is very spacious and the outdoor areas are beautiful. Ioanna was very accessible and friendly.

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

What a wonderful house! We were surprised to be so close to 2 lovely beaches, great hikes and a delicious restaurant. We’re a family with 3 young kids and they loved the swing, swinging bench, jacuzzi, space to play inside. Dimitris left a baby crib, high chair, and toddler potty for us which was super helpful. The best was Dimitris was very kind upon greeting us late at night when we arrived.

A lovely, luxury appartment near the beach and about 30 minutes' walk from the old town of Chania. A well-equipped, clean and beautiful appartment, but above all the warm and friendly hostess Anastasia. She guided us around the area, brought local delicacies, stocked the fridge with food and even drove us to the grocery store with her car. We really enjoyed our stay at the appartment and can wholeheartedly recommend it to others. You certainly wont't be disapointed!

Fantastic Villa for our family party. Spacious, well equipt and with lovely pool and view. There are nice (and inexpensive restaurants within walking distance too). Neighbourhood was peaceful. We felt very much at home, mainly due to the fantastic hosting. Georgia and Andreas are so friendly. Cheerful , beautiful people. They want to make every part of the stay special. Thank you both! ❤️

Absolutely beautiful location, 2 minute walk to the main Old Port area and tons of nice shops in the back streets.

Words can’t describe how incredible this home is. Every corner you looked there was a masterpiece to be found. Beautifully decorated is an understatement, this Airbnb was curated over years and years of living. It was nested in the heart of the town. I will 100% be coming back. Everything was perfect

Fantastic property with its own terrace affording great views over Chania. Loungers, tables, chairs, coffee table, soft chairs all there for our own personal use. Large canopy affording shade to sit under. Inside a gem. Spotless interia with quality bed linen and a beautiful set table with linen napkins. All you need in the kitchen, plenty of crockery and cutelry, pans etc. Large TV with Netflix available. Anastasia was an attentive host availanble to assist if/when required very swiftly. Recommend this accomodation for couples.

If you wish to experience a secluded garden by a non-travelled beach, almost like your own access to the sea, that is the place. A very good taverna is few meters away. Nothing best to let stress, driving, movida and consumerism behind one's shoulders for some days. Dimitri and his family have created a heaven of peace and a beautiful garden. The holiday-house from their parents is still decorated like in the 80s, but all the essentials are there. The generous welcoming, with a large basket of fruit, olive oil and salad from the herb garden, complete the feeling of coming home. Efkaristò! Many thanks! Rossella

We had a pleasant stay at Alkis’s. Self check-in is smooth and straight forward. The location is great. The apartment is in a quite yet accessible area - 3 minute walk from the see and 10 to 15 minute walk from the city center. The apartment has three rooms, a living room and a bedroom that share a balcony, and a second bedroom that has its own. The cleannesses of the apartment and how it smells made me feel like I’m home. Alkis is very responsive… by responsive, I mean he replies within seconds sometimes, which is fascinating and it minimises stress, especially when you have an urgent question. Additionally, if you want any recommendations on where to go around Chania, just ask Alkis. Please note that we stayed at Alkis’s for 3 days, and we were mostly out, so I cannot judge how that would be if you are planning to stay for longer. However, I believe that you will have everything you need.

Paradise! The villa was in pristine condition, super clean light and airy. The space is huge, big enough for a large family but also just right for the 3 of us that stayed. Villa is private and offers a nice homey feel to feel connected to your loved ones while still on vacation where you can prepare meals and enjoy them together outside at the table by the pool. Beach is beautiful and just a few steps away. I enjoyed my stay and will absolutely be back

It was a perfect place! George and family were very hospitable! Our daughter was even allowed to play upstairs with his children! Apartment was nice, spacious and very clean! With large balconies (with a fantastic view) and a spacious garden that was perfect for our 4 year old daughter. We got lettuce, eggs, sheep's milk and olive oil from the garden. Close to the beach, nice restaurants and hiking trails. Repeatable! We enjoyed :).

Nikolao and Katerina were excellent hosts who made our stay so easy. The house is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. The garden is lovely and there are lots of spaces to relax in - great for a big group. View from the balcony at sunset is gorgeous and peaceful, surrounded by olive groves. The area isn’t the most happening but it’s easy to drive around the island and it’s a nice retreat from busier parts near Rethymno. Communication with Katerina and Nikolao was very proactive. I even left something behind and Katerina sent it by courier to my next destination so I received it quickly. Thanks for a great stay!!

We, a family of 2 adults and to kids (age 7 and 9) spent a week in this beautiful villla and we had a wonderful holiday. The spacious, tastefully decorated villa had all the amenities for a relaxing stay. The outdoor space was a highlight, featuring a large terrace, sun loungers, a private pool, and a barbecue area, perfect for enjoying the sun, swimming and dining. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, responding quickly. They were also flexible with regards to arrival and departure, which we truly appreciated.

We had a fantastic time at the villa, it’s easily the best villa we’ve ever stayed in. It’s better than the photos - which is a rare thing. The view is amazing and it’s super peaceful. A fan base for exploring beautiful Crete. The owner Giannis met us at the villa and had even bought groceries for us including a lovely bottle of local wine, such a nice touch to start our holiday. He’s really welcoming and had plenty of good recommendations for us. The pool is fantastic and our girls really enjoyed themselves playing. Lake Kourna is a must visit and you’ve a beautiful view of it from the villa. Thanks for a truly memorable stay - We will certainly stay here again.

The stay at the villa was amazing. Prior to this, we were already able to look forward to our vacation due to the beautiful photos. The quick and friendly communication with Georgios finished it off. Once arrived it was exactly as hoped! a wonderful place to stay! Unfortunately, we had 5 bad weather, so we stayed inside the mornings and evenings. Despite the fact that we did not use the pool as dreamed, the villa offered enough comfort to BBQ and eat inside at the large table even with rain and wind outside under the canopy. We had a nice holiday and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings! Recommended due to the central location and super nice host!

Beautiful peaceful relaxing villa for a getaway. Close enough to larger centre. The place was spotless on arrival, with some treats on the table. Wonderful view, nice pool area The host was very helpful, brought us a wonderful Greek dinner one evening. Top notch Would definitely return to this place
