5 stars Our stay at Villa Lemonia was perfect! The villa blends modern comfort with traditional Cretan design, offering privacy and stunning views. The indoor spaces are fresh and stylish, with every room designed to capture beautiful sea and sunset views. The outdoor area is equally impressive, perfect for lounging, swimming, or enjoying a meal. The villa's location is ideal—just a 10-minute drive to Rethymno beaches and close to local restaurants, cafes, and vineyards. Lily was an exceptional host, providing excellent recommendations and embodying true Cretan hospitality. She made our stay feel special, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful yet convenient retreat in Crete!

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing villa and cannot recommend it enough. Maria was a fantastic host. She arranged our airport taxis and throughout our stay Maria was always on hand - we couldn’t ask for more. The villa was amazing and in an ideal location right on the beach. The pool area was excellent, private and peaceful. Maria also provided sunbeds on the beach where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets. There are many local tavernas within walking distance - we epecially recommend the Mareem & Finikas Tavernas. We also went to the old town one evening which cost 14 euros in a taxi and it’s well worth a visit as it’s really pretty with a great atmosphere. It is mainly pedestrian with lovely side streets to exlore and there is a real buzz in the evenings along the waterfront where there are great places to eat, or simply sit and people watch. Maria gave us a late check out at no extra cost which was so kind. We cannot recommend Maria and her villa enough and hope to return!

Fantastic stay! The villa had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the pool was absolutely amazing. I stayed here with my brother, and we especially appreciated the peace and quiet, along with the great location. Being so close to Rethymno made it a perfect base for sightseeing around the island. Manolis, our host, was always available and gave us excellent tips for local restaurants and attractions, which we really enjoyed. Each morning, fresh bread was delivered, so we didn't have to rush to the bakery. The fridge was also stocked with cold drinks upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. If our travel plans bring us back to the area, we would definitely book this accommodation again. Highly recommend!

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

The Airbnb was fantastic, very modern and spacious with an amazing view. The host was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and also during our stay. One of the best Villa’s I have ever stayed in, the pictures do not do it justice. Highly recommend choosing this for your stay in Greece. Only bad thing is that we had to leave to come back home!

Adamantios is a wonderful host. The villa is beautiful and exactly as described in the photos. We were made to feel welcome straight away woth homemade cake and olive oil as well as other bits. Adamantios was quick to respond to any questions we had and jumped to our rescue when our rental car battery died! The villa is t really walking distance to anywhere so my top recommendation would be to get a rental car with good AC! There are very few places around the area to park in the shade so if you have rubbish AC like we did, the journeys can be stressful. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a bit of space from the business of local areas and wanting to switch off at the gorgeous pool!

We had a wonderful 4-day stay at this beautiful villa in Crete. The welcome was incredibly warm and kind, and everything exceeded our expectations. The villa is stunning — spacious, tastefully decorated, and perfectly clean. The terrace and private pool are amazing, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. The bedrooms were sublime, with very comfortable beds and stylish interiors. A special thank you to Nikos, who was absolutely fantastic with us — kind, helpful, and always available. Vagelis was a wonderful host. He directed us to a parking lot close to the villa. He met us and helped us with our bags. We loved the villa. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning was great. The villa is beautifully designed with great furnishings and a lovely, peaceful courtyard. We loved how it was in the heart of the old city, yet super peaceful. Would stay here again in the future, no question.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. We had a great vacation in the house. It was all clean and tidy. The pool is amazing and the yard is indulgent. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. The service was more outstanding. We had a perfect vacation for us. I highly recommend the house and hope to stay again.

Our stay at Mama La Roosa Villa was a dream. Petros was an outstanding host who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a relaxing stay in Agia Pelagia. The villa was stunning - it had gorgeous ocean views from every angle, beautiful landscaping, and a modern design with every amenity needed for our trip. The villa felt quiet, private, and safe. We enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning. We enjoyed the pool and backyard dining area so much that we decided to skip the beach! The warm hospitality from Petros is what made the stay - he arranged reservations at the best local restaurants and wineries. We felt that we were able to truly experience Greece thanks to our stay with Petros at Mama La Roosa Villa. We wish we could stay longer and can’t wait to return. Lovely home and beautiful views! Téo is a wonderful host - so friendly and welcoming. We were very comfortable and greatly enjoyed our stay.

We had the most dreamy of times at the villa! Maria gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. We loved her hospitality and proactive hosting, giving us tips and recommendations of places to visit in the area. The place provided everything one could wish for, from pristine looking rooms to hammam showers, a fine gas bbq and shaded terrace, glorious swimming pool, comfy sofa and a kitchen chefs would enjoy. The surroundings are to die for. Sinuous roads and endless sea views, unique beaches, but also mountain hikes, gorges and wine tastings not far at all (car is a must). Closest taverna has delicious food. Agia Galini is a short drive away and offers all essentials should you need to shop, eat out, find an atm or go on a fishing boat trip. Thanks again for a fantastic stay! We will be back sooner than later!

We stayed for 1 week (4adults and 4 kids) having been to Crete a number of times before. The villa was up in the hills (you need to hire a car to get anywhere and driving on the small lanes is not for the faint hearted) but this gave us the beautiful views over the bay and a lovely sea breeze. The house was immaculate with all the essentials and mod cons including chilled filtered water from the fridge. The ice machine didn’t work so one of the team popped around with a big bag of ice the next day which we used instead. We also experienced a sandstorm (happens about once a year) with Saharan sand being deposited on everything. The cleaners were around the next morning and the pool was cleaned beautifully. The pool itself was heated to a lovely temperature so the kids could enjoy it all day and the hot tub was even warmer so the perfect place to sit and enjoy drinks. We used the outdoor built in barbecue and sat outside for dinners (great views). Karolina was very responsive! Recommend!

Can’t say enough positive things about Anna and Costa’s villa. We had an amazing stay. The villa was clean, spacious and in excellent condition - just like the photos. The pool was fab. Anna & Costa’s local recommendations were great. The whole family enjoyed the trip - thank you so much!

We loved the villa, it is exactly as pictured and as other guests have commented on- Etouri are excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to book this villa again. Lots of great features that have already been mentioned in previous reviews such as super comfy beds and pillows, spacious, light and airy.. but just to add, the Villa was fully equipped with big fluffy bath sheets (12!) and they were replaced half way through the week when the villa was cleaned. Lots of great personal touches, I can confirm the hairdryer is decent and I was pleasantly surprised to find both English and German books to read. Each room has a private balcony. We paid the extra to have the pool heated, it was heated to a perfect 29 degrees. The pool depth is 1.3 throughout and was exceptionally clean. Rethymno is a great location. We recommend going to the old town for dinner at Lemonkipos, also not to be missed a cheese farm nearby called Arkadianos and our favourite beach was Karavostasi in Bali.

The villa owners and Etouri team redefined what it means to be a host. We were blown away by how they went above and beyond in so many ways, from surprising us with a traditional Greek dish on arrival and gifting us various fruits, olive oil and tea, to organising a delicious freshly made birthday cake and candles for my Mum’s big day. Chrysoula from Etouri also deserves her own shout out. She helped me track down some tofu (I’m vegetarian) as they don’t sell it in many local supermarkets, and even dropped off her own personal training weights for my sister, who was looking for a nearby gym to keep training while on holiday. We truly felt so welcome and celebrated. It felt as if we were relatives who had returned home after a long time being away. We could tell just how much joy the owners get from treating their guests well. To them, we weren’t just guests. We were family. It was beautiful to witness from start to finish. I highly recommend booking.

The host responded directly to our questions and also came up with an alternative program because it was unfortunately raining for a few days. Absolutely recommended if you want to enjoy comfort. Fantastic great house with a lovely terrace and a lovely view. Our two young children loved the pool. The house and location were even better than the pictures. It was a short distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and it was nice to be able to barbecue outside in the evenings. Highly recommended!

this is a great Villa to stay at in central Crete that made it easy to branch off to many other areas of the island the best part was the Villa itself with its swimming pool and the views. great place to stay close to the small village of margarite. highly recommend it's got to be one of the best places to stay in all of Crete. Michalis was a great representing host.

The sparkling private pool kept the kids happy from sunrise to sunset, while the stylish, up-to-date interiors made it feel like a boutique hotel for the grown-ups. Everything was spotless, well-equipped, and perfectly set up for family living—plenty of space to cook, relax, and gather. This was our best stay ever with airbnb, and the most beautiful in Greece. The house exceeded our expectations. The locations is awesome. The house is comfortable, spacious, modern, spotless and beautiful. The open views to the ocean are breathtaking in addition to being high above in the mountains. He outdoor terraces aremazibgand the pool iswesome withazing views. This house can easily accomodate 6 persons. Parking is easy for two cars. The place feels secure and very private. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. Located between Rethymo and Chania we felt the location was perfect. We lived every detail provided to us. The hosts were great communicating with us, greeting us and providing all kinds of reccomendations to us. They greeted us with some very nice presents, foid and wine. If you plan to visit Crete this is the pkace to be. If you want an unforgetable stay this is the place to be! We lived every minute of our stay and there are not enough words to Thank our hosts!
