The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

The district is bordered by Vesturlandsvegur, Úlfarsá to the municipal border of Mosfellsbær, to the north and east by the municipal border to and around Úlfarsfell to Vesturlandsvegur. There is one lake in Grafarholt and it is called Reynisvatn. Úlfarsá flows through the border of Úlfarsárdalur and Grafarholt and then turns into Korpúlfsstaðaá at Vesturlandsvegur.
