Cottage holiday rentals in River Nairn

Absolutely fantastic location, with fantastic scenery nearby. Had some wonderful walks, literally behind the property. The BBQ area was fantastic like the hot tub. I can’t say much more, but I will be looking to return ASAP Matthew is a fantastic host and nothing seems to be too much of a problem. Loved the place, oh and the Highland cows are awesome.

Second time we have stayed here, will make it a third sometime in the future. Great cottage and location

A beautiful, spacious cottage. We spent a comfortable 4 days in the most idyllic setting, with the river Nairn at the end of the garden. The cottage has everything you could need, even including towels for the hot tub! The bedrooms are large and the beds extremely comfortable. The children loved the farm and looking at the animals. We will definitely return!

Amazing stay! The cottage was very cosy, looked like the photos and we felt right at home. Loved having the wood burner in the evenings while having dinner and chatting the night away!

The house was wonderful - we were delighted with both the location and with the property. The house was immaculate, and beautifully furnished with some really lovely pictures and objects throughout. The rooms were all good-sized and bright with the kitchen/dining area overlooking the garden a real standout. It was very well maintained and it felt like a proper home from home. The location was really lovely too - nice and quiet with a very short walk to the beach. We particularly enjoyed our walks around the area and along to Chanonry Point to look for the dolphins. A local pub and a lovely restaurant were close by too which was a bonus! Our host, Eva, provided us with clear and concise information prior to our arrival and messaged us a couple of times during our stay to make sure that all was in order. This was very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the property to others, and we certainly plan to visit again!

What a cracking location. We were very comfortable and had a great few days exploring the area. Jackie was a kind and considerate host. Friendly pub a short walk from the cottage next to the harbour.

This place saved our holiday! We were camping in the Cairngorms and ended up with a catastrophic failure of our tent on the second night. Booked this beautiful cottage at 3:30am and checked in just over 12 hours later! Communication from Laura was fab, and she was always on hand with any queries we had. Delightful little cottage, and the bonus of a hot-tub and sauna made for a very different holiday than we had planned in a soggy tent. Would highly recommend, and would certainly look to go back if we stay in this part of Scotland again

Truly “off grid” in the literal sense! It runs on batteries and a generator!! Despite it not having wifi we all had great 4G so never felt truly disconnected thankfully. It’s such a private place with literally nobody for a square mile or more probably. I would say in the winter you will need a 4x4 to access as it’s a mile down a dirt track! Amazing place and can’t wait to revisit :)

Beautiful Airbnb! Great location to discover Scotland and enjoy all its beautiful nature. Great view from your bedroom window on the forest behind the cottage.. highly recommended!

Çalums place was neatly tucked away in the Cairngorms what a beautiful place cute and quaint and such a lovely gesture to leave special coffee pods condiments local Scottish chocolates and wine such a lovely little place with room to rest recover from climbing hiking running loved discovering Nethy cafe nearby with friendly staff and angie the owner so lovely thanks Calum your place was wonderful

We loved staying at Kate’s cottage. It was very easy to find, and despite being on the main road it was really very quiet and peaceful. The place was cosy and well-equipped, and in a great location with a good pub/restaurant two doors down. Meant we could go out for good meals and stay in to cook something easy. There was space for us and our two dogs, and she even made the puppies feel welcome with some treats and blankets! Thank you for everything!

Great place to stay, just off the high street, but very peaceful & has parking. Italian Coffee shop min or two walk away, coop, art gallery & museum, & great low level walks in the Anagach Woods close by. Place very clean & perfect base to explore on foot or in the car.

What an absolute gem! We absolutely loved our stay at Hazel’s Airbnb. The attention to detail, stunning interior design, and beautiful personal touches made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Communication with Hazel was first class, prompt, friendly, and helpful. The location was perfect, peaceful and scenic, yet just a short drive from Inverness. If you have a rental car or your own vehicle, don’t even think about staying anywhere else! It was the ideal base to explore the Highlands while enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside. An all-round awesome stay. Thank you, Hazel, we hope to return!

A lovely stay at Blaeberry Cottage. It had everything I needed for a 3 night stay, very well equipped and very clean. A lovely garden for the dog to roam around. Would definitely recommend!

We loved Alexander and Bart’s beautiful cottage. It’s all been said in previous reviews but it truly is a clean, quirky, charming, generous place to be. We all slept like babies in the oh-so-comfortable beds and linens in this peaceful haven. Waking up to sunshine and birdsong and a cuppa in the pretty garden left us wishing we could stay longer. Amazing escape from the busy world. We loved the calm environment at the bothy and the wildlife in the surroundings. Spending some days without permanent electricity and cooking on the Rayburn was a great experience to slow down during holidays

What a great place to stay. The hosts were wonderful and communicative. When we had a slight problem with the fire. they came and helped immediately. As soon as we entered, felt right at home, and then extended an extra night. Everything is in the pictures and it’s actually better. Great location for just walking and being at one with nature, even in the rain. One suggestion is the TV is very small and was challenging to watch TV. I think it would add a little bit more for a bigger TV specially on rainy days.

We had a very lovely week - the perfect holiday, relaxing, but lots to see and do. The cottage worked very well for the three of us.

Beautiful cottage in the middle of nature, a long windy road full of pheasants to get there. We loved it. It was charming, comfortable and had an amazing fire place. Bring food so you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings once you arrive. Would definitely recommend!!

Blair’s place was incredible. Walking through that gate and looking over the city is a magical feeling. The place was very clean and extremely cozy. Will definitely come back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Ballater. The scenery is breathtaking – nestled in the Cairngorms, with rolling hills, rivers, and peaceful walks right from the doorstep. The village itself is charming, with lovely cafés, friendly locals, and a strong sense of history. Our accommodation was spotless, cozy, and perfectly situated for exploring Royal Deeside. Waking up to such beautiful surroundings each day was a dream. We would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!
