Hut holiday rentals in River Severn

Just came back from spending 2 nights here and the stay was incredible. The pictures don’t do the place or scenery any justice at all! It’s a must visit, especially the 2 farm cats they were our best pals by the end of the stay. Would definitely recommend 🙂

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

Wow! such a beautiful place and cosy for two people. the surroundings were gorgeous and Rosalind was very friendly. special shout out to Max the sweetest dog in the world

Amazing stay! The hut was exactly like the photos and just as described The thoughtful touches Prosecco milk cake hot chocolate and chocolate were lovely and really made us feel at home The hut was well appointed and everything had been well thought through and we did not want for anything The fact the washing up was done for you again added to the experience! The hot tub and view were beautiful and we were so lucky with the weather we made full use of the outdoor space Great recommendations on walks and places to eat! Thank you for a fantastic stay and being an amazing host- you went above and beyond!

The Cowboys hut was a beautifully made hut in an idyllic location. Danna left a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and the hut was clean and tidy. The log fire kept us toasty and we would love to visit again.

A lovely remote spot. Gorgeous view, sparkling clean inside and very comfy cosy bed. Would love to stay again!

The Shepherds Hut was amazing, so cozy, clean and comfortable. Trish has thought of everything. The table and benches turn in to the bed base, with space underneath to store your bags. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The shower was great, towels provided. It's in a really quiet location and we had the added pleasure of seeing a glorious peacock on our arrival ! Trish is a really great host, lots of attention to detail such as: fresh free range eggs, cans of gin and tonic, chocolate biscuits, milk and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Plus marshmallows for melting by a fire and a jar of sweets. Games to play, a folder with details of local pubs (all dog friendly), maps for local walks and booklets of places to visit. We recommend the Red Lion at Castle Eaton, a really friendly and welcoming pub, with very tasty food. We really enjoyed our weekend, so much to do and right in the heart of the Cotswolds. The cabin was absolutely amazing! Exceeded all expectations. It was a beautiful, peaceful location with amazing views. Amazing hot tub too! The hosts definitely thought of everything, kitchen was so well kitted out. Top tip, grab some food to keep you going from the shops in Abbergaveny on the way up!

We had the best break away staying at Sharon's beautiful shepherds hut, the scenery was so beautiful, and it was the perfect place to unwind, our two dogs loved the hut and the enclosed garden, as well as exploring all of the public walkways. Sharon is a wonderful host and you will have the best holiday if you choose this little gem for your stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was very well equipped and comfortable. The location is very peaceful and private with amazing views. Lovely personal touches and the homemade cake left was delicious! We highly recommend a stay here.

What an absolute gem of a place. Beautiful accommodation in the most peaceful surroundings. The hut was immaculate with plenty of facilities. Sitting in the hot tub with the most amazing views has been delightful. An absolute must to visit to recharge the batteries. Highly recommend this lovely hut - We will definitely return.

This was perfect, getaway for my sister and I from our busy lives in London! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and exploring the local area, such a stunning part of the UK. The hut was cosy and snug a great place to just escape! Thank you for letting us stay!

Great peaceful rural location between Cheltenham and Cirencester. Very private, great views. I have stayed in a few Shepherd’s Huts, this one is one of the best. Consider having a barbecue on the fire pit. Thanks James we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay for our anniversary with our two dogs! The stay was so peaceful and in such a tranquil setting away from everyday life, & just what we needed. Perfect place to relax away from the outside world. Lovely walks nearby and perfect for the dogs too! Great host, super accommodating and thanks for allowing us to check in early!

Lovely little hut in a beautiful place, overlooking the fields and rolling hills. Hut was spacious and had all we needed for a few days away. Super dog friendly with the fence having wire on it, especially for our 8 month old cocker spaniel who was very intrigued by the cows! Becky was also responsive and helpful when my clumsy partner 😂 accidentally broke a glass and she came and hand delivered another later that evening. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

Very happy with the space and amenities. The off-grid style was to a great standard with enough home comforts available. Steps up to the toilet were slippery in the rain and there was no mention of being located next to the train line so the noise was unexpected for an off grid private location but the earplugs provided were a great bonus. Great location and a lovely stay!

We had the most incredible weekend at the hut, quiet peaceful location with amazing scenery. Kate was a fantastic host and provided us with helpful instructions to find the place and a load of recommendations for activities/food. The accommodation itself was clean and tidy and had all the essentials to make it a wonderful place to stay, thank you so much we will certainly be looking to come back soon!

Fab stay. Was so much more private than we were expecting. Insane view. Breakfast bits were a lovely touch. Our dog loved the surrounding field. The Bull at Hinton does an amazing Sunday Lunch.

Arrived at 3pm check in, the road down there is a bit hectic but fine if you take it easy, my Fiesta managed it just fine. The Hut on the Hill was exactly like the pictures, inviting and cosy, and Mandy and David had gone out of their way to make personal touches such as fresh eggs, fresh bread and beautifully creamy fresh milk. Usually when Ben and I have gone to other locations with hot tubs the towels have been small and limited, but Mandy and David ensured there were large towels, and spare, and sliders too! Plus some beautiful towel dressing gowns. Mandy was very responsive and reassuring when I wanted to ensure we were parked in the right spot. The hot tub was already warm and easy to navigate, and we slept so well in the bed! The dog too enjoyed his freedom which was a major highlight for us. You can order food and wine from the hosts and if we'd stayed longer, we definitely would of. This place was beyond our expectations and would love to come back.

Natalie, Ric and their lovely Pup was very welcoming! Even when raining we made ourselves right at home and enjoyed some peace !!
